That V10 engine sound never gets old.
Truly
Well, it is old, but it aged so incredibly well.
Anyone who doesnt love the sound isnt a real motorhead😭😭 so amazing😁😁
Yes we know.
Amen! 🙌 Bring them back!!

You need to re-do this in dry conditions. The V10 and even the V8 era is what made F1 appealing.
Yeah thats why it now has more viewers than ever 😂
DC is basically asking for it. Make Max drive the RB1 and him with the RB20.
Yes! Make it happen Red Bull Racing 💪

Also I’m pretty sure it was Lawson there in the RB20, but they just pretended it was Max. Shame they didn’t give him any recognition in this video.

I would really love seeing Max in the RB1 and Coulthard in the RB20
He would push it too hard
Max didn't seem keen on letting David drive RB20, lol
Coulthard drove around in the RB19
David Coulthard has been such a gem for F1 since he retired.
I love how Red Bull isn’t afraid to use their older cars every now and then. Always nice to see such beautiful machines do the thing they are built for.
McLaren does it as well. Their marketing department just isn’t as good.

So have we David, so have we...
This was so heart warming to see. Max and DC are so chill and having fun. Love seeing them all smiles.
What a journey RB has had. So many talented people built it to the beast it is today!
I find it really wholesome how RedBull still keeps their old drivers and keeps their old cars running once in a while. Gives both the drivers and the cars the chance to relive their former glory days
Red Bull really takes care of their former drivers.
Just Red Bull things, I can remember a certain Rick Kelly having Red Bull on his helmet in the Supercara championship whilst having 0 sponsors on the car, As well as I think more recently Andre Heimgartner. As well, Shane Van Gisbergen on his change to NASCAR has has Red Bull on his helmet every race after leaving the Red Bull V8 Supercars team
Red Bull keeps David Coulthard in a small little glass case, they pop him out whenever they need
you make it sound like they had DC locked up in a tower or something
Keeps their fans interested too.
Even Max wants that V10 sound🤤
max grow up with the sound off v10 en v12 engines. max was in a f1 car when whe just learned to ride a 3wheeler as kids
Max has stated several times , he likes the older , smaller and lighter cars with V10 or V8 a lot more as current hybrid series cars ..even though current cars are a lot faster
max likes linear engines. the v6s now are not linear in the slightest.
Everyone wants that sound back. The annoying thing is that they could & do it in an eco friendly way since that's all they care about these days for some reason.
@@D25BevThat's all they care about *for good reason*.
They definitely could - and should - go back to full ICE with eco fuels however.
That V10 sounds beautiful. For those of us of an era, add a DFV to the soundtrack for perfection.

2005. The first season I commited to watching a full season of F1 when I was 11. And oh boy I never regret it❤️
The size difference is shocking. It really shows how the cars are getting larger and maybe too large for tracks like Monaco, where overtaking is so low.
Thankfully the new regs are a step in the right direction!
The cars from the RB1 era were much narrower than the ones before it and after it, it was the norm, in fact the cars on the 90’s were wider than current cars.
"you used to take it apart a lot quicker than we did" got me rolling on the floor 1:02
We really need that switch: Max driving RB1 and DC driving RB20
Just Brilliant to see the RB 1 and RB20 running together its a shame that this is not done more often. Thank you Red Bull.
Please do this again in the dry. I'd love to see what these cars could do against each other at full tilt.
the new ones would annihilate them all the same
@@MentalParadox not on the straights though. Hell, the Monza race lap record still stands from the V10 era.
True but that's a race lap record and that has more to do with refueling and tyres. On fresh tyres and low fuel the hybrid would still win, much as is it pains me to say
Yeah Monza quali record is 2020, and before that 2018
@@tomthorpe1701bro you’ve never seen an f2004 on modern slicks, destroys everything. The grooved tires were literally made to slow them down
Many people say that Red Bull is just a marketing company; and to be fair, it is. But the emotions we get seeing this are made possible because of RB and all the people in this sport.
We all know that it's all about the money, but the way they sell it is working and i personally love it.
For the team owners, it's all about money in the end. But for DC and Max, and I think also for the likes of Horner, it's all about the racing. Horner, despite all his flaws, did a great job in finding a way to run a team that's passionate about racing, in a way that still satisfies the money money side of things as well. Same can be said for Toto really, while Brawn did a lot of the actual team building, Toto has been essential in forging the link between the sports people and the money people, and keeping them both happy.
It's obviously just about the money but they make life a bit more entertaining and thus deserve it.
Damn, you’re so right. Every damn thing Red Bull does is marketing, but it’s all exciting as hell. And it works. So I thank Red Bull for all the crazy stunt that they’ve sponsored. They’ve kept life interesting. They might be putting out the sponsorship dollars (and getting revenue in return), but they are good at it. I don’t even drink the Red Bill energy drink, but if Red Bull sponsors something there’s a good chance I want to see it. RB understands high energy entertainment more than anyone else.
I don't mind them making bank, as they give back in excitement. Better than just hoarding the dough.
To be fair, RedBull does do a lot of awesome things instead of just throwing up popup ads. Stadium trucks on snow, downhill ice skating, redbull air race, Formula 1, longest ski jump in history, downhill mountain biking, wingsuit flying off cliffs, e-sports, motoGP, surfing, X-games, drifting, rally raid, rally, BMX, freeskiing, motocross, jet-ski, and probably more I can't even think of right now.
the sound of the v10 is just amazing. the new one does not even come close to the excitement the sound of the V1 brings.
I watched this to hear that V10 engine sound.

That naturally-aspirated Cosworth V10 sounds fantastic!

coulthard driving around in his little beast with some lovely commentary while chasing down Max, simply lovely!
Great video! Great to see Max when he is at ease and not getting hyped for a race. Both he and David are just so chill here, very cool.
The sound of a perfect shot off the tee in golf and the sound of a Formula 1 V10 engine are probably 2 of my favorite sound in existence right now.
iconic cars, iconic duo. always great to see David, and love seeing Max in his element! they have such a wholesome dynamic together, you can feel all the mutual respect.
That radio calls doesn’t sound like max is driving 😂 sounds more like bits from different races
I also think DC is doing a voice over with a helmet on, he’s talking too calm whilst driving 😂
I love when in subtitles say "music" but is a pure v10 roaming
There should be an FIA Heritage League for pulling old cars out of storage once in a while.
The difference in size at 0:13 had me speechless. Awesome video!
Can't believe it has been 20 years since I started watching the Red Bull team debut in F1 with DC. And now they are dominating F1 with Max. What a team!
proud to be a Red Bull fan all these years, good job team!
At 1:29, the nostalgia. I still remember those moments as well Coulthard! Loved that F1 era. Can't believe how long and wide the cars got. Heavier too. Looks like 2026 is going to 'shrink' them down and lighten them up.

The RB1 is from what I consider the pinnacle era of F1 racing. From about 1990 to 2010 I used to be glued to the radio or TV during the race. Now, I just catch the highlights on CZcams. I just think they are going down hill more each year.
I'm glad to be there for those 20 years, and here is for another 20. I love you Redbull
Ah, the sweet beautiful sound of the V10 engine. That is the anthem of racing

Thank you redbull for keeping the sport spicy and creating these amazing machines. Thank you to the drivers.
For me, the late 90's early 2000's were the greatest F1 era. The best looking cars.. Clean and simple with great paint jobs.. The best sounding engines and all kinds of legends in the field. Having said that, Max is already cementing himself as a legend. Amazing driver.. Love his take no prisoners style.

Next year Coulthard probably will drive the RB 20...
Max had a point, the RB1 has traction control, current-gen cars don't; you have to be much more sensible with the throttle in the rain.

This was awesome guys!!!!👍🏽 Thank you for sharing. 😁🙏😁
Love the lighter, smaller, more agile and raucous v10 in the RB1 and that era of cars. It’s absurd how massive the current cars are.
There the size because of safety ( 110KG fuel) and the monocoque to protect the driver .
current cars are not cars they’re soulless boats on wheels
@@lasarith2 The rear of the car can be shortened massively without an impact on safety. Most of the extra length was put there in 2017 to produce more downforce.

2026 is the start of that
@@jok3r906 few cm, not that much of a difference compared to the size of the RB1.
@@Nickinatorz10.3% less square area is not a 'few' cm lol
The increase in size is due to improvements in safety, ground effect regulations and the size of the hybrid powertrain. If they ditched the ground effect regs and hybrid junk, they could shorten the cars quite a bit although not to the size of the RB1 obviously.
At that time, these cars were considered large.
Can we all agree that the editing is top-notch?
David's awesome, dude is a great Red Bull Ambassador. Always love watching him talk about Red Bull.
That sound... Goosebumps
Congratulations on the 20 years F1 Red Bull, onto the next 20 years ❤
There’s a lot of talk around how Lewis has been an ambassador for the sport and helped propel F1 into the USA. While I thinks that’s 100% true and I’m a huge Lewis fan I don’t think there’s enough credit given to Red Bull. They have constantly pushed the boundaries to the limit in car performance, strategy and race craft ( especially with Max and Seb ) and made the world watch in awe. They were in the best season in history for me at 31 years; 2021. DC has been a credit to modern F1 too.
These things always make me warm a lot to Max. He seems like a good lad.
He is a very lovely person !
Wow that roaring engine is LOUD
an actual race between the rb1 and rb20 would be insane to witness
a video like this you reschedule to a better day if you are redbulls racing yt. sure they have to race F1 in all weather, but to compare new and old i think decent conditions is a must.
I'll never forget a hilarious moment at Indy (GP) where DC and I were sharing an elevator and both our room keys didn't work right (to make the elevator go). He was such a sport and so down to earth. Always a fan of the fellow. Great vid. Well done RB.
I hope he's nice in real life too and not just on camera, I met some people from F1 who really put my spirits down.
@@DamienAlexander I met a lot of folks - as a fan - that race. Bernie. Flavio. Hammy's dad. Scott Speed. Dan Weldon. DC.
