    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The CAMMUS LC100 pedals have clearly had a lot of inspiration from much more expensive sets of Sim Racing Pedals, and on paper, are a clear outlier within their price range. At US$259 the CAMMUS CL100 3 pedal set with Load Cell brake could be an absolute bargain if their performance and build quality live up to their specs.
    Sound too good to be true? Let's find out!

      I have simsonn pedals only issue i ran into was the pedals themselves sit too high without a base plate. I got vnm baseplate and it fits perfectly. The baseplate itself did not fit my ebay cockpit so i had to buy some additional brackets to fit them on. I have been tracking better times on silverstone and laguna seca coming from fanatec v3s its been great. If your willing to go through and make adjustments you cant go wrong theres plenty of other good reviews out there for these pedals along with brake setups. I only opted for replacing stock spring with red spring and kept the red elastomers for now.

    Hey Will :) Glad to see your review of this one. Just to check with you, during our review, we had 3 major problems with those pedals: the damper was misplaced (as you noticed) but also a huge amount of flex on the plate itself, and most interesting, the fact that if you apply the force slowly on the brake, you can literally push to the max without the Load Cell noticing anything. Any idea about those?

    • @boostedmedia
      @boostedmedia  Před měsícem

      We didn’t experience flex with the mounting plate the way we had it mounted, but it absolutely would flex without a supporting structure under it.
      We didn’t experience that issue with the load cell but I’m guessing that area at the back of the assembly that I showed in the review is probably binding up and not allowing the rear of the load cell to deflect proportionally to the force applied.

    I have been running the older gen 1 lc100 pedals and in my experiance the pedals took alot to get the feeling right. I lenthend the throttle throw and shortened the clutch.. the vrake pedal took the longest as i had to learn how it worked... The gen 1 lc100 brake pedal load cell required you to space the front of the loadcell up to get it to register in the first part of brake application and when i made the pedal stiffer i bent the pivot .. not cammus fault my error after fixing that and further adjustment i found it all worked well. I also sprayed some ptfe on the shafts before use. Im used to it now and i am very happy with the set... I did have an issue with the sensor bugging out and becoming erratic... Turns out dust on the contacts where to blame.. deff check this if you have issues... Seems the update moved the control box from an external box to fitted into the throttle pedal, bearings used in the pivots rather then bushes and the load cell issues from out the box look to be sorted. Really i think that is you had to buy a pedal set for what cost me just under $500 aud delived to my door. Melbourne Vic. The alterantives arnt as strong. Thrustmaster pedals are a lower end product for the same price and logitech pro are $100 aud more.for not that much improvement over the standard pedals at least in my experiance. Would love to try out a set of fanatec v2 but deff another jump up in price... So not sure whether to compare with the others at the pricepoint or pedals with similar features.. either way i think they have been good for the last 6-8 months of use and are a solid pedal at the price but require alot of tweaking to get right so if your the type of person that will take things apart and put it back together youll be aright but if its use as it come out of the box you will be dissapointed

    i got my lc100 last week to replace my worn out t-lcm. I am somewhat remorseful, i cant get them in a good spot in my rig, the pedal baseplate is way too small for me, so i have a toolbox jammed infront of my pedal plate for my legs to rest on. (I am disabled so this is more challenging than normal) I am not sure if the brake pedal needs to be "broken in" because the loadcell values do not seem consistent, sometimes it is at 100% when i press this hard, and at other times its at 90% with same force. I had to set a pretty restrictive min and max deadzone to get it somewhat consistent. I def have buyers remorse and have not driven much at all since i got them which is a shame as sim driving is the only hobby i really have these days. Not sure what im gonna do!

    • @boostedmedia
      @boostedmedia  Před měsícem +4

      Check the adjustment of the damper to begin with like we cover in this video. That may well be the reason you're not getting consistent input. Failing that I'd say maybe try calibrating the high point a little lower.

    • @troyglossop1113
      @troyglossop1113 Před měsícem +2

      @@boostedmedia i did move the damper back as it would not let the pedal fully travel out of the box, and i have adjusted the set screw in the loadcell with the ball bearing on top so it makes contact properly, this was way too low out of the box. I am hoping maybe it just needs some use to make the bracket that rotates and hits the loadcell more free. I do have slightly different needs from most users so i try to not be too hard on manufacturers. I think in the future I will save for some high end pedals if it doesn't improve in time. Thank you for your reply mate

    • @derodge
      @derodge Před měsícem +1

      No, you made the best choice for the money. These are very good pedals. You can get these dialed-in , you just have do some DIY adjustments. along, with what Will indicated.
      You can add a small O-ring washer under the load-call ball bearing. it will give a longer and much smoother brake feel. For the price you can't beat the way they look and their performance. Now, if you don't want to adjust these , I can understand. if you ask me, you made the best choice for the money. No other brand-name pedals will allow you to buy hardware store parts and even parts from other pedals.

  • @derodge
    @derodge Před měsícem +1

    I'm sorry . I own both sets of pedals, I moved my CSL V2 pedals to my other rig. Yes, the Cammus pedals require more adjustments., and even some DIY.
    But every time some comes over they want to drive the rig with the Cammus pedals. They always say "Those "Fanatec" pedals look cheap."
    Personally, I don't have the same graininess issues, but the brake was awful until it was adjusted. I also, switched the clutch and the accelerator pedal springs.

    I know this is random but my leoxz xgt pro is almost here muahaha. I really hope you review it soon! Its incredible they thought about everything without needing to uodate or use there software. You can change the led on the fly with the wheel without software on the pc. You can change everything all settings through the fanatec base with the wheel. They really listened to yalls flaws on the f1 and have clesrly thought about everything. The paddles are spaced out a bit more. Grips are same size which we all loved but the gaps are a bit bigger so fingers aren't so crammed. The wheel is 295mm of pure perfection. For the price I can't see anything else competing even my gt neo can't but then again the gt neo is half the price lol. The xgt pro is all alu backplate and all real cf and cf paddles of course. Still some of my favorite sounding and feeling paddles have depth but very positive sound and feel.
    P.s. I went from elite v1 way back in 2019 and went to the elite v2 pedals and I haven't gone away from them since. I tried the p1000s but for the price the elite v2s can't be beaten I'm to consistent with them to even try to change again.

There are companies out there the will sell nice pedal plate upgrades (HRS) where this will not be a problem! so the problem is clearly with the company selling the pedals! HRS do plates for all the big pedal brands and the are as nice as the Asetek pedal plates, but they are not cheap!

    If youre a big baller.. get some simmagic haptic motors with some mounts off ebay...
    Honestly, they feel AS good as my fanatec v3's.. considering the cost and they're miles ahead of these cammus brakes.

    what a massive design flop, wires in eye sight, no adjustment what so ever and a tiny ass foot plat. this crap set of pedals is a hard pass for me

    Completely unwatchable due to the constant 20 second ADs.
    Boosted ADs!! It is sad how channels support CZcamss aggressive AD policy.

      Constant? There shouldn’t be more than 3 in the whole video? Will check it now. Sorry!

      @@boostedmediato be honest after the opening 30 second AD then a second 20 second Ad soon after, I did forward the video to skip some of the chatter and got hit by another 20 second AD, I gave up at that point. Perhaps I was just unlucky to where I forwarded to. Thanks for the reply.

      @@xzanman You do realise that ads are partly how we get to view Boosted Media's content for free? You surely don't expect these guys to work for nothing, do you?
