#simracing #pedals #vnm - Hry
I would love to see you review the simjack pro aliexpress pedals to see how cheap ‘high-end’ pedals compare to more expensive branded products
Definitely agree. I appreciate Will's method of review more than any other channel. It's very objective and extremely thorough. The SJP pedals are the only "high-end" pedals in my price range, and I've got to know just how good or bad they are for the price.
Supposedly they are the best pedals for the price, even better than fanatec V3s and HE sprints
Man if he did this, what would be even more dope is a follow up mod video on how to make them better
VNM pedals having bearings on all the moving parts would make them silky smooth with no play compared to brass bushings on the simjacks. But for the price simjacks are very good if you are prepared to do a bit of tinkering to get them right, also I have heard the supplied elastomers are not great.
I have the Sim Jack pedals and I LOVE them. They are such good bang for your buck but I'd also love to see Boosted Media review them to see how they compare.
Been waiting for this review for awhile. I have the VNM shifter and handbrake and love it more than anything else on my rig. So was excited to hear they were making pedals but wanted to wait for your view on it. So glad you did get around to it. Thanks Will!!
I have had the shifter, handbrake and pedals for about a year and a half now and I sincerely cannot recommend these products enough. An amazing and consistent performance since day one, also insane how much you can configure these to your liking. S/o to the amazing community they have in their discord as well, always willing to help out even during very crazy hours.
Great review. Been running a set of these pedals for over a year and I love them. Glad to see you enjoyed them as much as I do daily.
Excellent review. Definitely going to check these out. So glad Micro Center is sponsoring you - I go there quite often and it's great that they have sim racing gear there.
Been using VNM's shifter for quite sometime and i love it! i expect the same level of quality and love they put into this pedal, hope i can get it in the future. Thanks as always Will!
Been watching for the last 2 years and been saving for ages to upgrade from my logitech g920, and just ordered these. Thanks to Will and his awesome reviews I am confident that I am getting the right product for myself. Just not sure what wheelbase yet though 👌
Great review! I run the VNM Shifter, Handbrake and pedals and have to say I love the design and reliability hasn't been an issue at all. I also have the damper kit installed.
I ordered these last week, still on the way, but after watching this, I am very very excited! Glad I got the upgraded brake kit too, definitely gonna use stiffer springs and elastomers
Great review. Regarding the heel plate - we got our NZ stock made so the heel plate can be mounted at base level. As the original design was way too high.
Great review. Thank you. These are out of my price range but always love seeing what all is out there for equipment.
All this gear is way out of my league I wish it wasn't but I still appreciate your in depth and professional reviews. Fantastic work.
Hey will have had mine for close to a year now not running a damper kit or upgrade kit either. Have had no issues with the elastomer as of yet touch wood. Love my vnm pedals and shifter and recommend them to all looking for some new gear. Even see barry mannon above comment hes fantastic to deal with
Every time I think I know what I want in pedals Boosted Media comes out with a new video and my mind changes.
Between the options we discussed in this video you really can’t go wrong. You’d be happy with any of them.
Will do the simagic p1000/p1000i next! Love your reveiw process and it's helped me many times selecting something to dump money on!
Great review! Thanks from France!
As always, Fantastic review. Thank you.
I would also recommend the Simgrade VX-PRO pedals they are sweet pedals. Great price and no elastomers to deal with either.
I love mine, i've had them since december 2022, they are built like a tank, no squeeks or rattles, everything is super smooth. I got them initially without the brake upgrade kit because they were out of stock but i bought it recently and it is worth getting them together if you are buying these, this way you can really finetune the brake because it's super stiff out of the box, one thing i wish was better is more adjustability of the pedal plates because of my crappy rig the angle of them isn't the best but that is a problem specific to me and will be "fixed" once i get a proper 80/20 cockpit, i checked my cables and all of them have heat shrink on them so your set propably wasn't picked up during qc, i would recommend these over heusinkveld sprints, i paid 902 CAD$ with taxes for a set of 3 pedals with 200kg loadcell, meanwhile a set of 2 Heusinkveld 100kg loadcell (gas and brake) is 899 CAD$ before tax so i'd say VNM are much better value.
Looking good! The price is REALLY interesting! Thanks for review 👍
Hope you get a review unit from the P1 Sim Mistral. Tested them at the ADAC expo and they felt really good with rumble motors neatly integrated into the pedal arm
Can’t believe you’re reviewing a product from our country. And it’s a good one.
Regarding elastomer blow outs… i have had my Sprints since 2019. Those elastomers just blew out earlier this year. I do a lot of rally so i bang the hell out of them. I wouldnt be too concerned with elastomers blowing out. These pedals are actually on my radar for upgrading since im starting to max out the sprints brake pedal. Iv been looking at them for about a year.
Between these and the VRS Pedals, which can have the clutch "bite point" adjusted sooner in the pedal throw?
I've had these pedals for about 6 months. I did not get any of the extras, just a 3 pedal set. I love the aesthetics and large faceplates on these. The pedals are a bit tall for my rig, so I had to raise my feet up to get more leverage on the pedal face. I blew out/split the brake elastomer in the first few weeks of owning them, but only because I was seeing how hard I could press on the brake and apparently I found the limit lol... But I haven't done anything to repair it since then and it's working just fine. There is a faint "squeaking" sensation in the brake if you play close attention, as the broken elastomer rubs against itself. The throttle has excessive throw... I wish I could move the bump stop even further to reduce the throttle throw, because at full throttle the pedal is like 3inches past the brake pedal, which results in some lower back/knee pain. I fixed this by having the brake mounted slightly behind the throttle so the distance to the pedals isn't so much of an offset between my two legs. The clutch pedal can be a pain in the ass to make adjustments to because it involves so many screws and washers. Once you get them dialed in, they are awesome to use.
would you recommend the sprints over these?
@@jonfrderick I haven't tried the sprints. If I were to buy pedals again, I'd look at simagic pedals with the haptic feedback motor. I like their rounded pedal face too. The VNM pedals are nice but they're not perfect.
I got this pedal set with the heel plate and I am sooooo happy with it. It's just a slightly friendlier version of the VRS, imo. Enough adjustment without being a pain in the ass to adjust and the build quality is EXCELLENT.
how is the clutch? im running a logitech setup right now but i want a more realistic driving feeling
@@heymustirrbrah can’t compare Logitech is a toy compared to this
Would you consider these an upgrade over Sprints? I have had a set of sprints for 12 months and was looking at options to upgrade. Thanks
As always, great review Will. These pedals seem pretty awesome. Would love a comparison with the Simagic P1000 pedals with haptic feedback.
back this!
I would also like a comparison.
fyi you can stick simagic haptics on these with $20 mounts
Thanks Will! Now you threw another curve ball at me trying to pick my new pedals😂. In all seriousness, im coming from the csl elite V1 load cell. I have been looking at ultimate plus, sprints, asetek, and simagic p1000 and 2000. I need help deciding
Had mine since December. Love them. Excited to watch this review.
I will say, for the clutch I could never get the second stage to happen sooner. The vertical holes dont seem to be very useful in that regard. I ended up setting the software around the clutch point of the pedal and that worked ok.
I had the same issue with the clutch.. and got tired of trying to adjust it with the 3 screws and washers on either side. So I just left it near default and calibrated bit point in software...
@@quinnseitz1377 yea it looks very adjustable but when trying all of those holes. The clutch mechanism doesn’t even work if you go too far down.
I owned these for 2 months... unreal value and quality.
you can tell way of the difference between a 24 bit and 16 for bit there are more resolution when you’re pushing on the gas pedal so if you barely push on the gas bill on it in real life you’re barely pushing the gas bill and game that means when you do hill toe kick their more precise
Would it be possible to install the damper for the brake the other direction? It would help out, being able to adjust them up front.
So I just got a set of these from Sim-Motion and received a different pedal plate. This plate mounted the heel plate lower, so it doesn't raise it like you were complaining about. Much better I feel. Weird thing is, nothing states that I should have received different ones and I see no documentation of them changing them or pictures showing a new style.
Could anyone with this kit please provide the measurements of the take up springs? Curious if these will fit my factory spring on my Simtrecs pro which is too flimsy. Thanks
Great vid Will. I have 2 of these QR and both disconnect and connect frequently. Are having any issues with your QR?
Never ceases to amaze me how sophisticated the technology is for something that doesn't go anyware, goodnes knows whats inside the real cars. 😮
Really hope you get back on terms with simagic so u can start reviewing some of their awesome gear thats available
If possible can you post the measurements between the centers of the aluminum profiles where the pedals mount for the optional base plate?
Can you share the link to your video about setting up load cell pedals for the first time? Thanks!
Can these work with console / any wires to connect them to fanatec dd+ base ?
I have the asetek invicta but i feel like i dont improve. Will a other pedal set inprove my performance?😊
Hey will wondering if your going to be making a video on the new turn dash
Hey @boostedmedia great stuff, i'm contemplating the idea of getting these instead of the Moza CRP. Do you know what are the main differences between these and the Lite version?
nice pedals!!!!
Amazing review! How would you rate these in comparison to the forte pedals? Trying to decide between the two. Thanks and keep up the good work!!
I wonder how would these compare to the VRS pedals...
Which would you recommend between these and Si magic p-1000i?
Need to make a review on the Simforge Mark 1 pedals!!!!!
Been using these pedals for about a year now and I highly recommend them. I paid about $650 plus 50 for the brake upgrade kit which I would also highly recommend. The stock brake kit is way too soft. I have size 12 US feet and use the heel plate as well, as without it I felt the pedals were too tall.
Thanks for the precision regarding the heel plate. Just ordered them and was wondering whether the plate would be necessary. Same foot size
I was using my toes too much, now I'm pressing with the balls of my feet. Great purchase! You will be happy with them. Enjoy!@@javacupracing
I just checked my VNM pedal set and the little heat shield is only on the brake pedal as well.
Are you going to do a review of the Simagic P1000?
I've had my Invictas for 18 months and just dont get on with them, so looking for alternatives. These VNM look like a good option.... the P1000 being another
If SJP is gonna be reviewed, hopefully alongside Cammus LC100 too. Budget price, pro-feature review pls.
Can you do a review on the new GSI Hyper P1?
Do they feel as good as the heusinkveld ultimate + pedals
Question about the softest brake setup: I have a playseat evolution rig for the time being, which has a fair bit of flex.
I plan to upgrade to a more rigid rig down the road, but in the meantime, would I be able to work with these pedals in the short term? I like the idea of pedals I can grow into as I upgrade my rig.
You can swap one of the white elastomer on the brake pedal with a spring that comes included with the pedals to make it slightly softer
@@muchamwachia Thanks 👍
These or Simagic P2000? I only need 2 pedals, making the Simagic a little cheaper.
These remind me of the old Heusinkveld Pro pedals!
Bought a set of these, great set of pedals and the software is fantastic.
However the adjustment process is an absolute pain, it lets them down as dialling in the correct combo with the brake performance kit was such a slow process compared to my old Sprints.
Great review. you're making me want to buy another set of pedals, but I'm wondering why you never reviewed the Meca EVO1 pedals. I saw you did the Cup 1 pedals a couple of years ago but the EVO1 are a great improvement and fit right in line with this category of pedal sets. I'd be curious to know where it falls in line for you compared to these and others like it.
I would love too hear your opinion on the evo1, both load cell and hydraulic! There are strangely few reviews on them, only 2-3 on youtube.
@@gadpettersson9173 It's so strange how few reviews there are! Especially for how popular the cup1's were. So far I have only tried the pedals with the hydraulic brake and I'm not the biggest fan because the pressure is so stiff and doesn't have that initial uptake that Boosted talks about, which I like as well. I am planning on getting the LC brake because it has an integrated spring with the polymers similar to this VNM set. I ultimately decided on the Meca's because I like the design of the pedals and cup concept for the polymers, plus they are relatively cheap for the quality of build which I can assure you is excellent.
What's the difference between these and the "Lite" version?
Any chance you could review the Cammus LC100 pedals?
I've been holding off buying new pedals for a while because I'm just not sure which way to go. I have Titan Exodus pedals, which I'm pretty sure are a knock-off of another brand. I've really had my eye on the Simagic pedals, since I have the Alpha base. But there's a few pedals around that price and I just can't pull the pin on anything atm. These reviews are great but always make it tougher!
Aside from the review itself... I wonder how long in various applications (here in the pedal configuration program) the 3.5-inch floppy disk icon will be used as a symbol for saving settings, etc.? In fact, for many young people such a floppy disk is something completely unknown now ... an artifact from ancient times :)
Well, we still have a return key.
I just pressed it. Comes from the carriage return lever on old typewriters which moved the paper up one line & back over to the right so you could start typing the next line.
Do they work on most wheelbases?
Is there anything that you reviewed that you recommend that is not worth buying at all?
simagic P1000 is some new pedals that is like simucube's but much cheaper than 6k
This is going to be my next pedal set. I need to replace my BJ SimRacing GT Steel pedals.
Good call. The BJs were quite good for the price in terms of the driving feel but the quality just wasn't there. Check out our reviews of the other options mentioned in the video too though.
Love the way these look. Wish I could give them a go. Would these be a linear move from sim jack pros or a step up?
a step-up forsure
@@muchamwachia good to know. I was looking at these before I settled on the sim jacks looking to upgrade my pedals and handbrake next year. Don't really like the simagic tb-1 and the sim jacks are just ok
@@devintolliver92i have everything VNM apart from my wheelbase and I have pretty much reached endgame, not unless they come out with V2s 😅
Im really surprised ive not seen a review from you guys on the Simtrecs pedals. Ive neem running tbr simtrecs and reslly have found them to be incredible and really curious how they compare to these. Ive tried the HE ultimates and the sintrecs are definitely better imo. If i had a second pedal set if shio my sintrecs to uou to try. Lol
Agreed. I've had Simtrecs for awhile now, absolutely incredible craftsmanship and feel in the pedals. Barry still uses them in his videos I believe.
@@dariuslatamus the simtrecs are the only pedals I've seen Barry not have anything to nit pick lol. It's why I bought em.
@@charlesgutscher1923 Exactly. I bought them based on his review. I'm also a sucker for incredible packaging/craftsmanship and have the mentality of 'buy once, cry once' :) If I HAD to nitpick at anything, it would be great if Simtrecs offered a dark black look like these pedals.
I would love to see P1000 review with the rumble motors. All these other pedals do not provide that function so do not really appeal to me.
How about the vnm lite pedals?
Great review. Does anyone know how wide the base plate is? Can't see it in the product description
it is 35mm wide. it is mentioned in heelrest manual :)
@@vnmsimulation4673 ah, thanks for the reply
Unless I'm missing something, I didn't see a handbrake cable to connect to the pedals. I didn't have one (just have the normal USB cable to connect to the PC) in my handbrake box and the website doesn't show one being included for the pedal set.
The port to connect loadcell directly to the pedal. And it isnt included.
@@vnmsimulation4673 Will you be offering the cable to connect the handbrake to the pedals for purchase in the future?
@@ohngo181 yes, maybe :)
Would love to know the feeling vs Moza... Really feel even their high end metals are MEH at best.
Please review the simagic p1000s❤
wake up babe, new boosted media just dropped!
excellent review as always 👏🏾
when do we have a review on the simforge mark 1
is there any difference with the x-edition version of these available from simrigs in Australia?
a little different look :)
I just ordered the x-edition ones after watching an extended review of the V1 pedals, and I wanted to know what the differences were too. What I've noticed from looking at various pictures of the x-edition pedals are that the angle adjusting brackets at the rear seem to have been removed, there are less adjustments available on the clutch mechanism, and the default elastomers on the brake seem to have been firmed up.
@@polibard Hey thanks for the info. I did notice the lack of tilt adjustment too. Hopefully they are not too upright but I am seriously considering a set of these.
No, they are still there. Just doesnt show in the picture :)
@@Ezpzlmnsqez Mine just arrived and as far as how upright they are it's ok, but i have an angled footplate and I've reduced it to minimum. It's useable, but flat would be best. Definitely no angle adjustment as @vnmsimulation4673 is claiming below, the entire pedal has a flange from front to back connecting the mounting holes.
What is this "performance kit" he keeps referring to? I don't see any place that sells them mention this, even within their accessories section.
Best to check with them. They may have started including it or discontinued it.
@@boostedmedia Thanks, do you happen to know what was included in this kit? Perhaps I can identify it by sight when looking at the currently selling products. Thanks so much for the reply :)

@@braidenrahn2534😂 I went completely different direction and went simagic P1000 and alpha U wheelbase with the fx c rim. Since then the neo gt wheel came out which I would have went with that instead. Simagic is great, had it since October 2023, zero issues 👍
Hey will, are you going to do a review of the GSI Hyper P1 wheel?
Haven’t heard from them so not sure. Keen to!
@@boostedmediaa review of the grid PMX ? 🥺
VNM lite on the list? would be really interesting to see how they compare, being 200 euro's cheaper.
"I didn't expect this" must be an algorithm trigger on CZcamsl😂
Is there any chance you could PLEASE compare the fully upgraded versions of this and the P1000 with hydrolic brake and throttle kits? I know that the Simagic haptics can be attached to both (with a small adapter purchase for the VNM), so it can be ignored for comparative purposes. To me that is the ultimate test of the best under $1000 pedal set.
If you don't think a full video would be compelling to enough people, Id love to hear your thoughts. The one thing I know is that the damper kit on the VNM is mechanical and not hydrolic, but not sure how much that will actually matter. I'm waiting build my sim rig until I know the direction to go on this :)
Good pedals and all, but with simagic p1000 you can get the haptic motors, which non of these pedals have you mentioned. I dont find the reason to go anything else because of it
You can add a bass shaker to the pedal tray or puck to any pedal TBH and it appears rumble mounts / motors are being developed if you don't already have a haptic setup on yor rig.
@@samuelcraigrangi ye you could, but its never going to be the same, with much higher price
@@mgerim nothing particularly special or new about rumble motors on pedals - been around for years
@@samuelcraigrangi tell me one (not the vibrating useless fanatec)
@@mgerim Sim3d offer kits for no less than 35 pedal sets and the concept is the same - no meaningful benefit of an integrated manufacturer solution as the telemetry is always coming from the sim itself and converted into vibration - Simhub has been around for years and is extremely customisable.
Enjoy your P1000s however - Simagic make amazing products which I use too.
If you had to choose between these and the vrs as your only set of pedals which one would you choose? Great video!
That's a very tough question as I'd honeestly be happy with either. I think I'm leaning to these very slightly though simply as I like the feel of the damper kit (which VRS has discontinued for their pedals), and I prefer the sleek black design.
Ultimately there isn't a bad choice between the two as far as I'm concerned.
@@boostedmedia how often should a elastomer stack be replaced so that it stays I consistent? Thanks!
Owning their shifter and HB I'm not surprised the pedals are good too. As for best presentation explanation and build quality and performance my Simtrecs ProPedal GT are un matched. I was on Sprints before and find the dampers on my Simtrecs actually one of the best things on them so if the dampers on the VNM do the same job I recommend getting the option.
One thing I will say VNM have terrible documentation and the software is weird. I still to this day don't know how to update the software 😂 but it works I only use ld it once for my HB and never opened it again
i will improve them all in future :).
@vnmsimulation4673 I'm sure you will I had an issue with my shifter and you guys got me sorted really fast so the service is also very good.
@@taxi615 thank you :)
I've been tempted by the simtrecs, how do you find them comparing against some of the other pedals you may have tested?
@benclimo461 best pedals I've ever had the chance to try or own up to date. The tuning is endless and being able to change the strength of the potentiometer on demand is amazing. It depends how much you want to spend and if you'll use all the tuning. I drive rally gt formula and anything in between so to be able to switch my pressures on demand is valuable to me.
Just wondering where are these compared to the ultimate+’s
Covered in the video in detail
I have a set of these with the damper kit for each pedal and I rate these highly, I sold my Asetek Invicta and feel these are nicer, also tested Simagic P2000. These are top quality and I have added a brake transducer to give ABS ams brake lock effects
How do you rate the simagic p2000 compared to these, I assume it would be quite similar?
What's wrong with the Invicta?
@@truejayoh You could swap the invictia with a brick.
Personally I hated it and sold them
I modded my damper kit with slightly harder compression springs from my local hardware store and it made such a big difference, highly recommend you trying it out
@@truejayohhydraulic pedals are substantially different to elastomers & some people just don't like how they feel.
Even better than the VRS pedals?!
Yeah, that's a good question, I didn't understand completely off his reviews..
Do you think these could be mounted inverted?
Yes, it could :)
Great video detailed as usual. This is why your channel is one of the best.
I was wondering if you would know if an HDMI 2.1 120hz splitter would work well with triple monitors on a PS5? I have seen a few devices about online and is the only way I can think of to get that triple screen immersion from sim racing without the expense of a high end PC. Your thoughts and any details would be appreciated. Thanks again for the content great stuff all the best from Scotland.
Great review! Do you know if the rod for the brake pedal or the size of the hole in the elastomers is M8 or M10? Thanks.
the rod is m10 and indoor elastomer is 10.5 mm :)
I was completely dead seat on going with the simforge mk-1's for the past 6 months...and right as I'm about to buy I have to see this video. 🤬
@boostedmedia , After almost buying the VRS pedals you come and review these VNM and saying these are even better? Although they come with elastomers instead of the more reliable springs?
I'm really confused now Will.. 😕
I think these feel a little better with the dampers but there’s very little in it and I do think the VRS is probably the more reliable design. You’ll be happy with either choice.
@@boostedmedia now that makes more sense.
Thanks Will
