    Hello "Soft" (on the smart program in brake) is max 100kg pressure and can t go up (even if you push 150kg pressure) so you must put it on "hard" to past 100kg of pressure ;) it s to prevent scratch on soft rubber :)
    And on Iracing you must go in the calibrate file in Mydoc and put the calibration from 0 to 4095 if you don t do that and just calibrate in the game you will add dead zone from the program and from the game so have for exemple 5% plus 2% from the game... or you must calibrate with a profile with 0% dead zone and 30kg brake to have the range from 0 to 4095 in the game (but it will add dead zone too but from 0% and not from 5%) ;)
    Just a little tick to use the range at it s maximum and use the superb program at it s max capacity ;)

  • @gurbindersandhu9383
    @gurbindersandhu9383 Před 2 lety +3

    Rubber stiffness is just a convenient setting i think, if you choose soft and try to change the max force in kg it can only go up 100kg and if you want the full 140kg then you have to choose hard rubber stiffness. I think it's just a way to stop people from having 140kg force on soft rubber. I know you can just choose hard even with soft but still.

      I don’t think smart control is a substitute for bad technique. No offence. When I did my VRS training in the Porsche cup car we discussed this snd my coach told me he doesn’t like using non linear curves on the brake.

      The issue with iRacing is there is no ability to adjust brake pressure as you can in all other Sims and I have seen many others adjust % braking in the iracing software to overcome this. The locking points come so early in the braking range, for me it’s not realistic and I’ve driven single seaters (F3) in real life with no problem with braking like I’m experiencing in iRacing 👍🏻

      @@boostedmedia yes you did covered that in the video, but if you were asked to choose between these two pedals, regardless of price and maintenance, which one would you then choose? HE vs Simtag. Nice review by the way:)

    • @boostedmedia
      @boostedmedia  Před 2 lety +4

      I don’t think that’s a fair question because price and maintenance are an important part of the equation.
      That said, right now if I could only keep one of the pedal sets I’ve reviewed it would probably be these. They tick every box for me and I don’t feel like hydraulic pedals add enough on top to justify the cost unless money really is no object. At least not the ones we’ve reviewed so far.

      How is SRP GT feeling the rubber ?

    • @lukeannett
      @lukeannett Před 2 lety +1

      @@lambossracing1582 There's no rubber. You are compressing air in the cylinders. The brake has a light metal spring just so the pedal returns, can feel it a little bit but they don't have that rubber, squishy feel other pedals do. The only drawback with the SRPs is that they have a light feel because they are so smooth in action. They don't feel rugged or industrial.

      @@lukeannett That sounds very well but one of the reasons I wanna upgrade from my current pedals (Fanatec CSL Elite loadcell) is that the throttle pedal is very light for my liking as if there is no gas pedal, especially with shoes on difficulties to feel the gas and modulate because too light and also too short throw...
      I was thinking to go for Heusinkveld Ultimates + because they have dampers on brake and throttle and you can make the throttle stiffer via preload and via damper and it has max 10 cm travel which is good for modulation...

    Yes, but do all these types of braking systems give uneven braking action with the same pressure? commutes and these are the same thing right? who doesn't use the rubber shit? which pedals produce the same braking effect over and over again? not these I don't believe in at all even though Verstappen uses them.

    this is an old video , but it still shocks me they use rubber for the brakes... or for the nerds "elastomer" yes elastomer is just i want to sound smarter than you for RUBBER.. annnnnyway .. my point here is .. rubber degrades with UV and not just UV or light but Oxygen as well.. also ive heard of loadcells being subject to temp changes on brakes .. well thats not the load cell its the "elastomers" .. they change their properties above 100C and below 0c .. so unless you live somewhere with 24/7 climate control ( kin to a greenhouse) you can fix with what i mention below .. its why tires/tyres have a "best before" date on them because rubber has a rather short lifespan as far as being useful .. there is a reason cars use dampers with springs over the top, (coil-overs) the damper is well .. for dampening and the spring adds resistance .. but OMG for like 50 yrs or so cars have been using "non-llinear" springs .. why in the helll do these 1000$ plus pedals use ghetto ass rubber instead of an all progressive spring setup .. its very odd to me .. go down to your hardware store pickup some progressive or non linear springs .. , buy some things to center the springs and boom ... for prob like 20$ you get a WAYYYY superior experiience...
