  • Today we give the LBZ build a little update in the braking department. We install a 2011 hydroboost. This is a direct bolt in upgrade and was well worth it.

I have a 2006 Silverado 3500 LT, 6.0L gas engine with the hydroboost brakes. I have owned the truck for about 6 years now. When I bought it, it has always had a whine to it, and I've always been good on keeping up on my fluids, so I thought it was just the alternator making the noise. Recently I had all my brake lines, and wheel sensors replaced. Mechanic told me the whine was from the brakes, but didn't have any idea of how to make the noise go away. Is there a bleeder screw or any way of bleeding the system without replacing anything? Thank you.

The diesel OEM has been discontinued as far as I could tell, but the gasser one bolts in the OEM position, but you have to bend the lines to get around the intercooler.
