FIXING A SMALL WEAK LINK IN THE 01-10 DURAMAX!

- For the task at hand today, I install a power steering cooler on my 06 Duramax. The 01-10 trucks do not have anything at all to cool the power steering fluid and I began to notice my trucks power steering pump whining a lot after running for long periods of time especially on hotter days.

Can you message the part numbers for the parts you used?
Im also doing your power steering line upgrade, heading to store today to buy the lines and fittings.
When installing the cooler what line are you coming off of your pump into the cooler with? Is it the non pressure line going back to the booster?
Its the low pressure line off the steering box and the from of the pump. One goes from the steering box to the cooler then the other cooler one to the return line on the front of the pump
Are you making power steering kits? So we can run an fittings and lines like yours? Non cooled just replacement ones
We have been trying to but theres one part we need manufactured and cannot find anyone to do it. Its been frustrating. We’ve thought about people sending us their core lines and doin it that way but i know some will be too rusty to use. Its for the 90 fitting right off the back of the pump
didn't your truck have a tower cooler for ps? in front of the main radiator to the left of the driver headlight? Mine does and looking to change that to a bigger one for better cooling. Love the music btw
What year is your truck? I know for sure mine had absolutely nothing. I know the LMM trucks and newer have them. Thanks for watching too man I appreciate it
@@jordancampbell3723 You are welcome, have enjoyed you upgrading your truck and gave me some ideas. Mine is an 02; may have been an option but glad i have it with it being used in hydroboost as well. Ohh i see that now. Yeah maybe it was an option or something I definitely didnt have that. Slick little upgrade though i like it
@@jordancampbell3723 Yeah - though i haven't had a temp monitor on it to see what the temps are. Gotta help a little since hydroboostuses it too. Have you upgraded your hydroboost unit to the 2011+ unit? Supposed to really improve braking and i am going to do that this spring. Perhaps another video idea for your channel?
@@MS-es9hm Yeah me either on the temp but i know for sure it hasnt got has hot as it used to before because it doesnt wine now after long periods of driving. I am one step ahead of you on the hydroboost, i did a video on it as well. Very good upgrade you will like it.
