- In this video we're getting into some more fantastic Reggae from Jimmy Cliff. We're super excited to hear this title track from the movie he did in 1972. Let's dig in. Enjoy!

Classic song that repped a fantastic & truly revolutionary movie...
It was the first time I became aware of the reggae genre, prepping me for the inevitable conquest of ameriKa by BobMarley,
My favourite reggae artist what a voice
Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders do a great live version of this song on their Keystone performance album.
Great song and yes the 1972 film is well worth watching too, old school reggea I love it and here's me a 60 year old heavy rock fan saying that!! It's just great music from back then.
I remember this one when I was a kid. Joe Jackson also did a version in the early 80's.
I haven't heard the Joe Jackson version, I didn't know he had done it. I'll look it up, Ta.
@@SPKdesign1 - I'd heard the Joe Jackson version (live) looong before Jimmy Cliff's. I did know it was his song, though.
@@mightyV444 "Many Rivers To Cross" is a classic as well.
Great song, keep up the great work. Madness also did a cover of this which would of been worthy of a Vs.
The Harder they come is such a great movie. Worth watching if you haven't already seen it. Also Rockers and Babylon if you can find them.
Have a listen to the soundtrack for Rockers, the original of "Jah Na Dead" (you did this for the Sinead Tribute) and the classic Peter Tosh "Stepping Razor".
Babylon is great , it was unreleased for over 30 years over some dispute with Jah Shakka, but you can now get it as a DVD... I doubt streaming services will carry it.
@@fredarsenault8987 I'm not sure exactly when I saw it but it was a few days ago. It's possible I downloaded it.
God created the Earth, all the plants, animals and mankind in six days, and on the seventh day....Hr created Reggae!
At least on the last day he got something right 👍
This film is really good, but you should also not sleep on "Rockers" it features the who s who of 70s reggae, playing themselves and is loosly based on "The Bicycle Thief" BY Vittorio De Sica
I came looking for a first time movie reaction. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, please react to it! No one else has yet.
Great movie!!!!!!
We haven't done a movie yet. Perhaps there's room for something like that soon...
