How to paint The Tomb King/Prince and howdah for The Bone Dragon (Part Two)

Here's part two of the Necrolith Bone Dragon tutorial, which includes how to paint the Tomb King by himself, and then the howdah/carriage he rides on top of the bone dragon! I kept the Tomb King simple as once he's on his howdah you don't really see as much of him, but if you're painting him as the on foot version, the steps are all the same so you can just spend some extra time on him! For going back to square basses for the rest of your army, I'd just trim off the edges to just the base under the feet and glue it into the square base. Might be faster and less likely to damage the model.

I agree that the blue and red chequered pattern is a winner for TKs.

I did one of my skeleton chariots so far (crew is drying cuz I had to fix the pose a bit with green stuff or the champion/spear guy wouldn't fit) and I went with a purple body on the chariot, gold trim with red and white detailing. With all of the weapon stabby/slashy bits done in brass to make them look nice and old. Once I do the crew and install them on the chariot I should have a decent idea of how the potential army would look. Tomb Kings have some cool big monsters you can add to an army though... if I expand on it I'd be very tempted to get a Necrosphinx, a Tomb King on Warsphinx and the starter. I do wonder if the starter comes with enough bits to make a High Priest on Bone Dragon + a Mortuary Priest on foot with a bit of kitbashing. Since at 2000 pts I'd want my commanders to be on big beasties, have a big punchy monster and then a few blocks of skellies flanked by chariots. (Not using the horsemen at 2k pts though)
