    Great video! I was a bit nervous about the Dragon Bone Color..
    But this really helped me see how to get the job done, and in a way I don't normally paint 👌😁🙏

    I prefer bronze weapons and bitumen-soaked skin for Tomb Kings, but regardless, this is yet another great guide. Fantastic job, everyone. 👍

      Just curious, how would you do the bitumen-soaked skin? I was thinking keep the Wraithbone and use either contrast medium and basilicanum grey, get a nice black recess, but keep some Wraithbone for the eyes and mouth shading like in the video. Also, Balthasar gold seems like a decent colour for bronze weapons, unless you have a different recipe for such?

      @elijah260 Sorry, I didn't see your comment. I don't think I got a notification for it. Anyway, Tomb Kings are high on my list, but not at the very top, so I haven't settled on a paint scheme definitively yet, but I have narrowed it down to a couple of options. First of all, a zenithal undercoat of Wraithbone over Zandri Dust, followed by either Black Templar or Basilicanum Grey. I have looked at pictures of multiple samples of all Contrast paints over Wraithbone, and I'm still not sure which of the two I like better. I guess I'll have to buy both and see in person. Bronze has quite a wide range of believable looks, but my regular recipe is Warlock Bronze, Agrax Earth, and Brass Scorpion.

    It seems in the paints it shows militarum green even though it wasn’t used. Also, screaming skull was absent from the list. Just curious what the green would’ve been used for? Maybe emeralds? Great video though!

    What is the difference between contrast and laminan mediums?

    • @Onk3lM0
      @Onk3lM0 Před 6 měsíci

      Contrast paints are washes with more pigments. They tint the surface you put them on and settle in the recesses. Lhamian Medium is as the name says: A painting medium. It's what you get if you were to extract all the pigments out of a paint. In essence it's a clear solution that you use to thin your paints without making the paint watery.

    I don’t have contrast medium. Will water do the same effect?

    • @officialwarhammer
      @officialwarhammer  Před 6 měsíci

      It will have similar effect, but can become streaky, so go slowly and carefully.
