- In this vlog, we try Filipino food for the first time! We ventured to the Market Halls in London to eat at APOY (the Tagalog word for 'fire'), a BBQ Filipino food restaurant with beautiful dishes from the Philipines brought to London.
We tried Pinoy Pork, Soy Glazed Aubergine with garlic rice and Vegetable Spring Rolls with an unusual but incredible Banana Ketchup dipping sauce! We also enjoyed mango sticky rice ice cream for a yummy dessert.
If you're new here, we're Amy and Zack, a couple of northerners who love to experience days out in the UK as well as journeys around the world.

@@JourneyfromAtoZ your welcome ma'am pasok ka sa bahay ko ma'am
Never heard of those Filipinos dishes you ordered !!!!
Neither had we but they were tasty!
The light was bit dim, if I may guess what you had is atchara salad (sweet n sour gingery bits of goodness from young crispy papaya, peppers, ginger & carrots) instead of coleslaw. I could be wrong though, you may have read back on the shop’s menu and it could be really a version of a coleslaw. Glad you both enjoyed it.
Most Filipino dishes are best made at home, simple and inexpensive. You could try making them from ground up at home, create your version/english-filipino fusion. It may could be an interesting content to stay tuned for. 👨🏻🍳👩🏼🍳
Ah you're right! It does say on the menu atchara salad slaw, it was incredible 🤤
We would love to try and make a type of fusion food at home although we don't have much confidence it would taste good 😅

Are you familiar with your fellow Brits --- the Juicy Vlog --- they've settled in the Philippines and have posted recent videos of Lucy's parents visiting from the UK & having a wonderful time --- the Philippines is NOT an Asian backwater --- and of course Filipino food is absolutely delicious.
Thanks we'll check out their channel. Yeah we would love to visit the Philippines one day 🙂
The number of views you got says a lot about the Filipino community.
