BELLA HADID - THE TRUTH BEHIND THE GLOW UP

- čas přidán 12. 05. 2021
- Looking at old photos of Bella Hadid, it's clear that she has undergone a WILD glow up. But what happened? What has she had done? So often we can find ourselves comparing what we look like, to what famous influencers or models look like. It can seem like the famous women are unattainably perfect, and that we could never be as beautiful as them.
Now unless the influencer or celebrity in these videos comes out and confirms that they have had plastic surgery, we can only speculate - however in this series 'The Truth Behind the Glow Ups', we're going to be exploring the truth behind some of the most famous glow ups of influencers, models and celebrities and you'll see that the majority of them did not look like this NATURALLY. There seem to have been a lot of 'tweakments' along the way in order to make said influencer fit the current beauty standards. That's why you should NEVER compare what you look like naturally, to the girls you see online. It's not real. These rich and famous women have the bank balance to pay for whatever tweakments they want done at the click of a finger, however most of the rest of us don't. We are all beautiful in our own unique, individual way, including the influencers in these videos.

These videos are not made to shame or expose these influencers, they're just to show you that no one is perfect, and everyone (even rich and famous models) struggle with their self-confidence from time to time. I love you! x

the worst part is is that these celebrities won’t admit it. that’s the toxic part. they want everyone to think that unrealistic beauty is natural which puts a lot of girls into a spiral wondering why they didn’t go through the same “puberty” experience. they have a responsibility and that is honesty and transparency.
Maybe they do, but they dont care, they want to feel above us.
i think they lie because it’s looked down upon in the industry. i’m not completely sure, but i’ve heard that agencies will not take on someone who has/admitted to going under the knife.
@@jasmine9695 I'm sorry but I'm sure people who are incharge of casting talent/models can tell if someone has undergone surgery lol.
I'm pretty sure its just society in general because if you get plastic surgery you're "unnatural" or "plastic" and if you don't then you're not pretty enough. Its a lose-lose situation. But as a normal person who's had optional cosmetic surgery I genuinely feel much better about my self and idc who knows, and if someone judges me well then screw them
i think Dolly Parton is the only one ive seen thats admitted it (i know its obvious shes has it but she has never denied it)
Kylie Jenner
I find it insulting she Denies having had anything done . Does she think people are stupid ? Stevie wonder could even tell
😭😭😭
She clearly had some work done, no shame, I think about getting a little of work done myself so, I don't understand why she doesn't admit it, it is so obvious.
I think she doesn’t want to admit it because she wants everyone to think she was born prettier than everyone else-
@@stefaniesimmons9640 no probably because her modeling career will be affected negatively if she admitted to doing anything
Exactly it’s fckn ridiculous and harmful to young girls and women ...
I don’t really care if Bella went under the knife or got surgery done. She can do whatever she wants to feel beautiful. The problem is when she has done something and isn’t open about it. It creates misconceptions about “natural” beauty.
Totally agree!
that’s very true. especially with her amount of followers, young girls and even teenagers that are looking up to her will think that “if this is natural, why dont i look like that?” and its very unhealthy for the mental health of those women. i feel like the transparency of the influencer towards their audience is very important too.
Absolutely, especially when surgical intervention is so obvious.
And kids get more insecure and forget to embrace themselves
If she revealed them then people would start attacking her
Their mom were awful with them sometimes. Basically over controlled Gigi and ignored Bella, except when she compared her with Gigi. And it’s sad if you consider that Gigi wanted to keep playing volleyball and Bella was almost an olympic equestrian, but of course Yolanda wasn’t happy with that. No wonder why Bella sees Gigi as a role model and why they are so close.
wow she was almost an olympic equestrian thats so cool !!!!!
Bella said that she had to give up her dream of being a professional equestrian due to Lyme Disease, not because she chose modeling over it.
Yolanda can definitely be over controlling, but it was Bella’s choice to not become an Olympic Equestrian because of her disease. But I do agree Yolanda would have probably not like Bella becoming a professional Equestrian, and Gigi playing volleyball.
@Chuffed Lemon I have Lyme disease and I honestly feel for her so much it just sucks n she’s so strong
@@phucbich7581 hey, please what exactly is Lyme disease and how does it affect one so much that they have to give up their dream?
I really think Yolanda put a lot of pressure on her, not necessarily by pushing her but by ignoring her for her older sister who naturally fit into the harsh beauty standards of the industry.
Yes! During their time on real housewives, Yolanda was helping Gigi more with modeling while Bella was just there. There was even a seen where Yolanda ASKED Gigi to sit next to her when all the family was trying to sit down together
@@rachaelmends3582 yolanda was actually pretty harsh on all of the siblings (except the boy one). With gigi, she told her multiple times to eat less or not to eat at all (like her birthday cake). Yolanda applied a lot of pressure on them :((
Which I don't get either. Gigi to me although cute, is not model material. Seems all these daughters of housewives & has beens are models regardless of looks
@@tisa6193 I agree, she don't fit model standarts. Gigi face is average, and so is her body
@@tisa6193 I think Gigi is model material but more like the Abercrombie models and the like. Maybe Adidas and Nike. More sporty brands.
I wish more celebrities would be transparent about the work they get done rather than denying or lying about it.
Me too!!!
I also do and then again, I kind of understand why they choose not to because I had several plastic surgery procedures and was very open about it on my social media and in real life. I am not kidding when I say that people are rude af about it either straight up or low key in a petty way.
I agree with you, but at the same time I understand those celebrities for taking that decision. People can be so rude when you have plastic surgery. I have this friend who is very gorgeous and she had her nose a bit (just a bit) crooked, she got a plastic surgery and she looks fab! She was beautiful before and now she's even more. When she opens about it, people is like: "oh, you're pretty, but that is because you have a nose job", i have hear coments about her like "she's fake", "she aint a natural beauty" and crap like that.
I want to get a nose job in the future to feel better and more confident about myself, but I don't understand why people put plastic surgery as if it was a sin or something like that.
@@ririimari unfortunately for celebrities with a reach, the alternative to disclosing this information is allowing young women and girls to believe that their body/face is attainable without surgery.
@@Kyiecutie it is really most unfortunate for the young girls. As I see it society is becoming more aware of these unrealistic beauty standards and it is our job now as mothers of daughters to educate them and show them the reality; to have them measure their worth by their character and actions and not their appearance, and also to understand that Hollywood is not as it seems.
Bella Hadid took Carla Burnis face to the surgeon and said “I want that” and the rest is history.
Also a p.s. I really don’t care or mind when people get surgery, small procedures or big ones. It’s your body, your choice and you can modify it to your liking. Just the whole “I had nothing done” is what ticks me off.
Right, omg I just noticed that recently.
i would have said Liv Tyler... looks liturally like the same woman in onother space time lol
@@juliettegdw6652 liv tyler is so freaking gorgeous!
This isn't how surgeries work lol. Have you not seen that guy who wants to look like Jimin? Does he look at all like Jimin? Nope, not even close.
Exactly!!!!!! Makes me so sad that she’s changed so many of her beautiful ethnic features :( her nose had the beautiful arab bump that I have myself which is so authentic to being an Arab why wouldn’t she want to embrace that??? I love my nose because it’s my dads arab nose
Your mind and soul are right.

Being the "ugly" one out of 2 sisters I can totally understand the pressure she felt to be prettier. Pretty people just get treated better. Her case is much worse though since she was a public figure and that pressure only multiplied.
same. my two sisters are super pretty and skinny. while I was the ugly chubby sister. I literally had people (professors, her friends, her co-workers) straight up saying I don't look like my older sister. One lecturer even said "What? Are you serious? She was beautiful!" to my whole class when I told him I was her younger sister.
I always found Bella to be the prettier one on the tv series. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😅. Besides, there are a lot of similar girls like Gigi walking around here in the Netherlands, just pretty girls (next door) but would not turn my head around for them. Maybe they would be 'supermodel' material if they had the same resources for a 'glow-up' lifestyle. Meanwhile I found Bella has something interesting, maybe the Palestinian thing going on?
@@elleelsaltador2657 😢 that's so bad for your self worth and mental health. Must have been hard. How can people (and especially adults) do that 😡.

This reminds me of a woman at my gym who gets plastic surgery on her body often. Like insane amounts of work. But then comes in and poses with weights like she's working out. She promotes fitness on her IG and has hundreds of thousands of followers. In my 2 years, I've never actually seen her finish a set. So tired of the deception and all these plastic surgeries. I hope their purchased look goes out of style lmao
That’s just horrible. I hate liars
:(
Who is it I want to see what deception looks like. Truth is refreshing
Wow
Bella’s eyes just don’t look comfortable. Her eyes look strained when she smiles. I think she’s had cheek implants, as the filler in that area always looks puffy. There is nothing puffy about Bella’s face..
I think it’s more likely she only had a Buccal fat pad removal. In all of her before photos, her cheeks look very high abs pretty. The buccal fat pad removal would cause the chiseled look
I don't think she has actually done anything to her eyes. If you look at pictures of her with her hair down, e.g. the picture shown at 7:22, her eyes look the same.
Wow I thought am the only one who thinks her eyes look so bad looking over stretched and clever like a fox
She did get her eyes done
@@-Anjel in that picture she already had work done to her eyes.

Yeah she looked the most Arab out of her siblings.

it’s ridiculous how she gets called beautiful whereas kylie jenner gets called plastic and unnatural 🤣
well, tbh, Kylie Jenner is 100 times more extreme, she drastically changed her body as well, alongside her face. At least Bella has a more natural look (she's just skinny...)
@@jemangemoncoco But it’s unfair to show sympathy for only Bella because Kylie did Surgery for the same reasons (to feel more beautiful).Everyone says that plastic surgery is fine to have but shame people for getting it. It’s not really fair to show sympathy to one but not the other.

May I ask what culture that is? 🙂💕
Yes that is said by my grandma as well altho we are asia
I’m really shocked she staunchly denies her blatant surgery. Never addressing would be her choice but seriously to deny it is a slap in our natural faces. her surgeon is an artist and I resent a millionaire thinking we are all stupid. So many people could be supermodels if they started getting their bits chopped off and sewed back on in a different, more aesthetically pleasing place, we’re just not rich enough.
Kylie kinda came clean maybe Bella will be next?
But think about it. If you were feeling hellaciously self conscious about something physical and everyone started pointing out comparing yourself to earlier you, and then add in the stigma of having a procedure done, don't you think you'd deny it too? She is so young and under immense pressure and the tone of your message to me is a clear example of WHY she's most likely denying it.

Yall act like you'd be in that networth range if you got the surgery too
Bella was beautiful, if she only waited a few years for her baby fat on her face to go, she wouldn't have needed any surgeries. I really believe she would have entered the modeling industry without the need of surgery.
No wonder her face freaks me out. I always thought there was something unnatural about her eyes, and now I know why. Personally, I think nature knows best, no matter how good the surgeon is - it almost never turns out better when you have your features changed...

It’s so sad that Bella felt she had to undergo surgery to look “pretty” when her siblings didn’t have to. Like Gigi was just born with societies ‘beauty standards’ and Bella wasn’t
But she was gorgeous too. Honestly I foind her prettier than Gigi
@@helixmoore7636 no sorry, she's prettier than gigi now. In the past gigi was the most beautiful without doing anything to her face. I'm sure one of the important reasons why bella did plastic surgeries is because she wanted to be the beautiful one
bella was beautiful, gigis look was just naturally more fitting to the modeling industry. i think thats why she felt the need to get things done, bc her face really wasnt one to make it big in the modeling industry, no matter how beautiful she was
@@helixmoore7636 let’s not compare the two...... that’s why she even got surgery in the first place
What's even sadder is that she undid her ethnic features and people now call her gorgeous. She looks done not natural. With the kind of positive reinforcement she got with the first alterations it's no wonder she doesn't know when to stop. She'll likely continue to mutilate her face bc people tell her she is more beautiful now. That overdone look will pass as a trend and then she can't undo those procedures.

Personally, I feel there should be a rule within the model industry “especially at those levels” that plastic surgery shouldn’t be allowed as it makes it so hard for young girls to achieve these unrealistic beauty standards as is but to then put in “oh I need/could get plastic surgery”. These people are on a platform where they have a huge influence on young girls and I think they have an obligation. Same with the big asses. That used to be an insult 😂
@@beatemueller7830 yeah like everything that was once a insult now a trend
It's like black women being ashamed for having full lips, big butts with wide hips and curly hair/braids/black hairstyles and now a lot of people (including ppl who mistreated black women) are in surgerions getting this looks because a white rich influencers makes this a trend.
That's how i tell myself not to get things done what if my big ass nose becomes a trend one day
Almond eyes and Asian eyes aren’t the same..

Getting Botox and filler has made me realize how much even minor tweaks can change your face!! Anytime someone asks me about my look or complements me on my face I’m like girl it’s fake! 😂😂
It's just a small part, you are not fake. 😊
Glad you’re being honest about it😌
Yeah I feel like plastic surgery is in a weird grey area, it's like you absolutely don't need it to feel pretty... but if you can afford it and it will boost your confidence then go for it ! Life's too short to gaf about what others think, but also being honest is necessary so it doesn't create unrealistic standards.
I tell people even without them asking that I have botox. Like look at my before pic! 🤣
@@alexandriageiler687 I fully agree. Fuck the haters, but do take into account possible health risks.
She already was beautiful. It’s a shame she didn’t conserve her natural features because I think we can all appreciate a model that had unique features and not occidental/mainstream/society praise that make many girls feel so defeated
I love your knowledge, like please how do you do your research
I agree that it is incredibly toxic how none of these people who get these procedures are honest about it, but at the same time I understand why they're hesitant to come forward. We've created a culture where we call women who alter their face are 'fake', but we simultaneously prefer perfect, surgical features to natural ones. We've created a culture where women 'expire' after 30, where an actress in her 30s is too old to play a love interest for an actor in his 50s. Brands play on women's insecurities to make them buy products, and the result is women feeling their main value is their appearance. People endlessly critique their own faces and bodies through social media. The fact that people feel the need to change their face to start with says a lot about the pressure put on women's looks. It's not fair to shame women for tweaking their looks, but it's likely many people would if they were honest about what they've had done
Fair enough. Whatever you do, it won't be enough to shut up people. Sad reality
i love what you said!! it so fucking true and sad
THIS!! 100% THIS
Well said
She does not look like 24 but much more older now. It may sound cynical but I am just waiting for a time where all of us who aged naturally will look nice and natural in comparison to all those celebrities that mess with their faces. People like her make millions fueling an industry that makes women hate their bodies and faces so I can’t really feel bad for thinking that way.
I didnt realise she was only 24. Wow. I thought atleast 30.
Yeah it's easy to get jealous of the money and resources celebrities have, but if you stay slim, your features will mature nicely as you get older. So many people look better as full grown/middle aged adults simply because their baby fat is gone.
She’s 24?? I thought she looked older than me and I’m 36!
I always thought she was the older sister not Gigi, she seems older than 24
AGREED!!
Love your video! Also your so positive about beauty in everyone! :-)
Im 65 and you a breath of fresh air!!! What a great channel!!!
Wow, thank you!
There is nothing 'hateful' or mean about wanting transparency from celebrities who's fame, fortune, and brand is quite literally built off of perpetuating false beauty standards to huge numbers of mostly young women and girls. When you have that much influence and power, you do hold some responsibility for your messaging. If you've had help, just own it.
They lie about surgery bc they say it’s makeup or a waist trainer bc it’s promoting a product like Kim k waist trainer and that’s how she gets people to buy her product cuz they think that’s how she got it they’re just promoting and lying to get paid
I agree. Like I don’t mind them just not mentioning their surgeries (I get being insecure and stuff), but when they straight deny and lie about it?? That’s when it becomes an issue. 😬
@@thetunnelunderoceanblvd EXACTLY
@@thetunnelunderoceanblvd they shouldn’t lie I mean if they’re insecure they should just straight avoid the questions
Hey can you make a video on plastic surgery vs self love? I'm not shaming people who get plastic surgery but personally I'm genuinly confused that how can someone say that they love themselves but at the same time change a part of themselves to fit the beauty standards? I'm really torn up between these two so would love your insight in this
I think it's the more the fact that you can love yourself for more than your looks, so you could love your personality or your kindness or your hair etc, but feel insecure about certain features... like for example when i was younger I hated, HATED my nose - but i still 'loved myself' as I liked who I was as a person! xx
@@stephanielange yeah that makes sense. I just equated loving yourself with loving your appearance 😅 would still like a video on it tho cos I think sometimes it gets a little muddy
I’m learning to love myself but I have hated my nose since I was 12, before I knew what social media and beauty standards were. The shape of my nose is kind of bent, looks like I was punched in the nose and its not in proportion with my jaw (I have a cleft palate so it’s smaller than usual). I’m currently saving for a nose job because it’s affected me and my mental health for over 10 years. I love most things about myself, just not my nose. It’s not always about fitting in with beauty standards, for a lot of people, something you’re insecure about can have a severe impact on mental health and how you feel about yourself ☺️ I for one know that when/ if I can ever afford a nose job, I’ll feel complete and fully love myself (not trying to sound arrogant there) regardless of any beauty standards, I’ve never been one to conform to that tbh
Some people don't do plastic surgeries because they don't like the way they look, but because they want to achieve certain goals. Like Bella who wanted to be model and had surgeries, other people do a glow up to get better job, boyfriend etc. Not out of vulnerability, but out of confidence.
@@mishynaofficial Plastic surgery to get a boyfriend??? That is not confidence, to hell with that idea. DO it for yourself mama!!
Thank you so much for your videos!!
Very interesting, good video thanks for it 👍🏻!!
Thank you for making me feel not terrible about myself while still not trashing anyone else.
It's crazy how genuinely appreciated the message of "you're human, I'm human, they're human too" can be.
It really sucks for all the girls that are naturally pretty and want to be models but never get to and celebrity kids who go out and get surgeries automatically get the job
That's because models are advertisers and fame brings in views regardless of what one looks like. That's just the way it is. People will always be more interested and invested in people they know.
Bella is and always has been naturally pretty thought. She just wasn't fitting the required standards. And to become a model you have to invest a lot anyway. These 'I got picked out of the streets' stories are bs. If you don't have resources, you already have a rough start and your chances of climbing the ladder are very slim. Sure, everyone will say that 'you just have to work hard'. That's also bs, and it only makes you feel worse, because it shifts the blame for your failure completely on you.
@@veronikakralj5879 It's not about fitting into beauty standards. There are many high end models who don't have perfect features who are successful, especially on runway, because there is something about their look that catches attention. Giselle Bundchen is an example that comes to mind. She has a prominent nose. The problem with Bella, in terms of modeling, is that she looked average. You are right though that for a career as elite as modeling, one has to have the right connections or be really lucky, on top of the required physical attributes (height, especially).
Many models now don't even have to be "perfect" looking or follow the standard to be models. You only have to be tall honestly
This 100%%%%
Why do celebrities think we are stupid? Denying something does not change the fact that WE HAVE EYES!
i love ur videos! it feels like ur my big sister telling me to cheer up after my man left me for a model or something lol. Lovely energy :)
IMO Bella was prettier before. I find it tragic that these beauty standards press young women to alter their appearances like this. Those cat-eyes are not nice, it look's so silly, just like over filled lips do - it's like yeah it's obvious that you had this done, can't deny it! But hey, I'm not shaming the women that do, just the industry in general, and the social platforms that grow these stupid ideals.
I don't think she has actually done anything to her eyes. If you look at pictures of her with her hair down, e.g. the picture shown at 7:22, her eyes look the same.
Don't get me wrong she's still beautiful, but she has lost softness in her face just my opinion. It's so sad that changing her face was the only way to feel pretty because of the pressure the media and her own mother put on her.
Finally someone who talks about her over stretched eyes weird
imagine bringing someone’s natural features down because those same features happen to be the beauty standard. pathetic.
“Foxy eyes” or “cat eyes” or whatever people like to call them are essentially just almond shaped eyes and no, dear, they don’t look silly, they’re beautiful, but only if they are natural. Everyone looks best in their natural form.
Bella 100% got surgery. Nothing wrong with that, just don’t lie about it 💀
She looks like she's on her way to becoming a twin of that cat lady, Jocelyn Wildenstein...
Can we please change the topic on her and recognize, what an amazing of a human being Bella is.The amount awareness she raises on the Palestinian struggle and how supportive she is to the struggling people in Gaza. She deserves better than just being talked about her surgeries 😕😕
People acting like she hasn't had anything done and it's her face maturing, but doesn't your nose actually continue to grow over time (not by a lot) and your lips thin with age. So it doesn't really make sense for this to be a natural change
yea your nose can become more narrow/defined and potentially bigger as you age, your lips will get thinner, and your cheeks may become more gaunt.
no sense in speeding up that process unless you want to look like you’re decaying at 50, but to each their own yk
Idk it also looks like she lost a lot of weight and weight gain or lose can change your nose
I love how you speak about Bella’s “before” face. I wish we could all just love and celebrate our natural features. They give us character and expression.
anwar is pronounced "en-WAAR", the a in the beginning is a short a sound, as in the name "amelia." its a beautiful arabic boys name meaning "lights." 😊

I feel like she dragged the amount of procedures because she doesn’t like Bella and it’s apparent by the way she insults her on her stories 👀👀
@@crystalcastillo7575 what insults?
It is not a great video, since she made up the half of the procedures, probably cause she doesn't like Bella. Bella had only a nose job, buccal fat removal and browlift, just like Stephanie said it here.
It's so obvious Bella has had surgical work done. And I too always had the impression that she was inspired by Carla Bruni's features.
I love the fact that you are very respectful 🙏🏻
Beauty standards will always change. Loving yourself and being confident in who you are will never go out of style.
Some people badly needs surgery if they have deformation. Sad thing most celebrities wanted surgery to look perfect for plain vanity and validation in social media
People need to understand that getting surgery won’t automatically make you gorgeous. Many people get plastic surgery and still don’t look better, bella was already beautiful + she has an insane unique eyecolor and her body is flawless. Those surgeries just underlined her already extraordinary beautiful features.
Yes. It's like makeup
Plastic surgery can help define your features or give you new ones. It doesn't matter who you are. What matters is you and your doctor's understanding of your own unique self. The mistake people make is when they try to desperately look like someone else, when it becomes an obsession, when they use their body to grasp onto any kind of happiness instead of working on who they are as a person.
She was average.
@@littlelou050 i've rarely seen ugly people become beautiful after surgery. They become average. And that's okay we cannot all be beautiful

Down turned eyes are really beautiful! It’s so sad that body types and facial features seem to go in and out of style like pieces of clothing. It really shouldn’t be like that
Cases in point Marilyn & Britney
Marylin Monroe,Anne Hathaway,Eva Green,Jayne Mansterfield,Rita Hayworth,Camila Belle and a lot of attractive women have/had downturned eyes
Let’s face it, she’s definitely had some surgical “tweaks” done which all the elites do from time to time. Thankfully you’re more transparent than she’s being about the fact. Ty!
Love the honesty!
Hi Lady C. Love your videos and how informative and entertaining they are! I’m glad to hear you praising the writings of Thomas Sowell. I’ve been a fan of his for many years and having you promote his intelligent and sensible point of view will only help show the contrast between pontificating hypocrites like Harry & Meghan.
Sis do Dove Cameron, or Eiza Gonzalez, their surgical glow up always blows my mind
Wow, the comparison with Carla Bruni! It s true, I had not realized that!
But Carla Bruni also had surgeries at the beggining of her career, you can see it on google.
I hate the dishonesty of celebrities who refuse to admit they've had work done.
