Hi Wink, Wink Wink 😉
👍😎👍🦃❤️ Yum Yum Yum !!! Lol 😋😋😋😁. Since it just me and my hubby, we had sushi 🍱. Lol. He doesn’t like turkey. I do. He likes ham. Whatever. Lol. I didn’t feel like cooking. 😌🙃. I like the idea of cooking it in the bag. Will have to give it a try. Just get a small one. 😉
Hi Cheryl, I know what you mean when the hubby doesn't want to follow the program. lol It's like...but we are suppose to have turkey on Thanksgiving. lol
Actually, you can bake a chicken in a roasting bag. It comes out very tender and tasty. Sushi on Thanksgiving...no worries I won't tell. Your secret is safe with me. lol Have a nice weekend!
Best turkey we’ve ever had.!! Flavorful and moist. The one problem we had was getting the butter-spice mix to spread. We dried turkey with towel but couldn’t seem to get it completely dry. Is that why it wouldn’t spread? Any suggestions??
Hi Mary, was your turkey completely thawed? It's about the moisture. The butter simply does not like to connect to moisture. It's all about patting it down to make it as dry as possible. If your turkey wasn't completely thawed, that could be a problem with the moisture coming through. In the end i'm glad it worked out for you. I'm glad you like the flavor. I really appreciate you coming back to the channel and giving your review.
Thank You Rosie...
Hi Neal, you're welcome. Thank you for stopping by, and Happy New Year!
Please kindly and subtitles for video. Thank you for the best Turkey recipe
Done just for you. Thank you for visiting!
What is the "seasoned salt", is it adobo seasoning or like the montreal chicken seasoning?
Thank you for this video, helps so much!
Hi Friend, I used Johnny's seasoning, but any seasoned salt would work. It's just about giving flavor to the bird. Good luck!
@@RosieCooks thank you so much! I appreciate your response. I will be using this recipe this year and I'm so excited.
Did you say how large your turkey was? Mine is 16 pounds. Is your butter/seasoning mix enough for 16 lb. Turkey?
Hi Marsha, this video is for a fifteen pound turkey. The ingredients and recipe are listed in the description box. Press on the grey area under the video. The screen will stretch, then scroll up. Hope it works out.
I have a meat thermometer that has a heat safe cord made of metal. I put it in the meat, set temp and it alarms when it reaches the temp. Does anyone know if the meat thermometer or cord can melt the bag?
Hi Frank, I would think if the bag is oven safe, it can withstand the heat of the cord. Using the bag is one of the easiest ways to cook a turkey in my opinion.
When you’re I made a turkey in a bag and it was not Brown at all. Looking to try it again. Was the turkey meat tender and full of flavor or dry?
Hi friend, this is my usual method for Thanksgiving turkey. It always comes out juicy, tender and Brown on top. Something was going on with possibly your oven? I have never had a problem with Browning or tenderness. I think using the bag method is the easiest and most convenient way to make your Thanksgiving turkey. That's just my opinion. I think you should try it again. The oven bags always come with instructions on how long per lb you should cook the turkey. I love this method!
You should spray the bag first with Pam spray.
Hi Claudia, It has never been too big of an issue for me, but spraying the inside of the bag does sound like a good idea. Thanks for watching!
Mine was far from being brown , allso fell apart. Looked bad for the table
Hi Eddie, I use the oven bag most years. I have never had a problem. It the easiest way to make a turkey in my opinion. I don't know if you cooked it too long? The bag box gives the amount of time per pound of bird. In this video, the bird is big. If you had a smaller turkey, the cook time would have been less. I cooked my bird according to the weight of my turkey. You have to cook your turkey according to the size of your turkey. I think that might have been the problem.
@@RosieCooks It also happens when you don't put enough holes for ventilation. I forgot this step once.
Ohhh, then you actually steamed your turkey. You definitely have to allow ventilation. You are lucky that your bag did not explode. Definitely try it again. It comes out great!
You didn't poke holes in the bag. The turkey steamed, it looks bad but it's Soooo moist.
We actually do this on purpose, we flip the turkey over, breast down, I use maybe one small hole so the bag doesn't pop,
The juice fills the bag and the breast is in it the whole time.
It's Soooo moist and delicious. Yes it looks like it got hit by a car when it comes out. It falls apart.
I lay bacon over the back and that browns up nicely, I carve the turkey in the kitchen and plate it on a big plate with garnish and serve like that. It's amazing
It looks like it got hit by a car. That is funny! I am sure it tastes delicious.
