  • No fuss No mess No basting No up or down temperature No turning the bird No Cover or Uncover No Thermometer ! ONE bag and ONE temperature = Perfect Turkey
    I like my turkey to be cooked very well and very tender so I cooked it a little more than what the bag instructions say. For the time, please follow the instructions written in the paper that comes with the bag. Also you can always use the thermometer to check the temperature after the time indicated in the paper. If you are not satisfied, you can put it back in the oven and roast it a little more.
    Usually the right temperatures for the cooked turkey are:
    165 F in thickest part in the breast
    175-180 F in the thickest part in the thigh
    Happy Thanksgiving !

    I stuffed the turkey then rubbed it with duck fat and baked in the bag. Browned beautifully like in a magazine, super juicy and flavorful! Absolutely the BEST turkey in 64 years! These bags are sooo underrated!♥️🍗👍

    Can I suggest rubbing turkey with the butter THEN put on your spices. Otherwise if you noticed, the spices were wiped off the turkey when rubbing the butter on.

    • @Tasty-Dishes
      @Tasty-Dishes  Před 2 lety

      You can do that but this is a dry rub method. The Turkey will get it is flavor all night better by doing that!. Happy Thanksgiving

    Was it a tad over baked? Or is that typical when one uses an oven bag? I bet it smelled terrific and tasted even better.

    • @Tasty-Dishes
      @Tasty-Dishes  Před 2 lety

      No it was so tender but I like to cook it a little longer than the bag instructions says ! You can pull it out by the time written on the box and test the temperature. If you are satisfied with the temp. then that's if not put it back! Happy Thanksgiving

  • @dblvictory
    @dblvictory Před 5 měsíci

    Nice video. Thanks. I suggest: 175 - 180 degree meat temp (true for all dark meat poultry) - those are weight bearing muscles you are cooking and they need time or the meat will be tough.

      Hello there , no I didn’t take it out according to the instructions , you put 2 tablespoons flour in the bag and leave it there.

  • @FemmiGirlz
    @FemmiGirlz Před 6 měsíci +1

    That looks really delicious but I have a question about the spices that you used. I know everybody’s different than what they like to taste but the chili powder was different for me and did that give it a smoky taste or did it give it a Mexican chili, kind of taste, I definitely wouldn’t want a Mexican taste on a turkey. Just curious how that tasted?

    • @Tasty-Dishes
      @Tasty-Dishes  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hello there, thank you for your comment. Have you ever had ribs ? That what ribs have in the dry rub most of the time !! The turkey won’t give you Mexican food taste ! But if you are concerned you can easily omit it ! It is not a big thing ! You can omit any spice that you don’t like 😄happy cooking and have a wonderful day 🙏

    When plastic is cooked at high temperatures (350-400˚ F) what chemicals are then emitted and consumed? Food is one of most significant routes of exposure to microplastics.

      @@musze1 Our public health mandate is to raise awareness of microplastic transference into food. MPs decrease in size when the meat was cooked or fried. The melted microplastics recrystallized upon cooling.
