- unsaltened butter
- 2 table spoons of salt
- a table spoon of smoked paprika
- a table spoon of dried basil
- a table spoon of dried oregano
- a table spoon of dried time
- 2 tea spoons of garlic powder
- 2 tea spoon of onion powder
- add a little black pepper
- then mix
- put the mix underneath the skin
- season inside with some salt
- add garlic inside
- put wings underneath turkey so they don't burn
- put grey paper on drumstick ends so they don't burn
- take out ur turkey after 3 hours and brush it with butter

I’m late to the party, but I’m so grateful I stumbled over this video! I hosted Christmas for the first time in my life and, for the first time in my life, had to make a turkey to feed my entire family. Your butter spread sounded really good, so I decided to give it a try on today’s turkey-it was amazing! I’ve never tasted more flavorful skin, and the meat was tender and perfect. I’ll never use any other recipe for my holiday turkeys. I don’t normally comment on videos, but I had to thank you for saving my first Christmas dinner!!

OMG I made this today for an early thanksgiving...It had so much flavor! My family said it was the best turkey they have ever had, and I have to agree! I Made it exactly like the video, except I added around a teaspoon of poultry seasoning, and a few stalks of celery I had leftover from making the dressing. Instead of making gravy, I used the juices to add flavor to my dressing.. This will be my go-to turkey recipe forever...Several people ask for the recipe....

@@ListenLinda. mine did not as I didn’t have any oranges or apples But the first time I used lemon and oranges and it smelt citrusy but the taste was juicy and garlicky mostly for me 😊
