When Cap lifted the hammer is when I started crying lol. Seriously the most epic moment in the entire MCU (aside from when he finally says "avengers assemble") Ever since I was 12 I was moved by how he was an actual hero, had high morality, he cared for others and their feelings, protected the weak, he fights for others until the end and was willing to give his life to protect the good in the world. That's why when he started to call thunder down was so epic, it represents how much of a HERO he is.
Thank God I saw endgame yesterday before I could see this video title or I would be pissed

Love the theory, have you thought about the reason Cap was only able to make Thor’s hammer budge slightly because in fact he wasn’t quite as worthy till he admitted to Tony that he knew his friend Bucky was responsible for the death of Tony’s parents.

Cap wielding and using Mjolnir was one of the best scenes in the MCU! It was sooo cool to watch it!
Now it's odd that Thor with Mjolnir and Stormbreaker seems to have so much difficulty fighting Thanos without Gauntlet, the only possible reason I can think of is the current Thor, while still have his powers, isn't as physically or mentally strong as the previous Thor.

I think Capt became worthy when we told Tony the truth about his parents in Civil War. The reason he was able to budge Thor’s hammer in Age of Ultron was because even though he would sacrifice himself for anyone and had mostly a pure heart, he still had that secret kept inside of him that was not pure.
That's a little iffy. Odin had plenty of secrets. So keeping secrets from his family wouldn't make him unworthy if he was put to a similar test. No, the true test is being your own person and doing what you think is right, instead of "just following orders." There could be other people with superpowers who are pure of heart, but perhaps follow wicked men, not realizing obedience is not in itself a virtue. Neither El Cid of Spain nor Jeanne d'Arc of France chose to step up and be the ruler of their country, despite being victorious in battle, but instead followed those who were unworthy to lead.
There's a theory that the reason can couldn't lift it was because at that time cap had guilt in himself because he knew who killed Tony starks parents but he didn't tell him and who ever feels guilty is unable to lift mjolnir but in the civil war the guilt ends so that's why he could lift it in endgame. 💀💀💀

Steve omitted the fate of Tony's parents for years after he found out in a lapse of judgement and shame which he later apologized for when Tony found out the full truth in Civil War, and the hammer's enchantment sensed this lapse of character and did not let him fully lift it in Age of Ultron

I think that Mjohnir determines when someone is worthy. I think that being pure of heart is not enough. Mjohnir can only come to one that is worthy at the proper time. In Avengers Ultron, the proper time for Capitan America was not at that moment.
