The EXACT Moment Captain America Became WORTHY- Full EXPLAINED in 6 Minutes

- Reasons why "Steve kept a secret so he wasn't worthy" theory doesn’t work.
1. Feige, the Russos, and the actual DIRECTOR OF THE SCENE Joss Whedon have said that he could’ve picked it up in AoU.
2. Keeping a secret does not prevent you from being worthy. Odin kept Loki’s true parentage from him and clearly continues to hold the hammer after he casts the enchantment. Also Thor lies to a whole bunch of people, betrays his father, and revolts against Asgard in TDW, and is clearly still worthy,
3. There is no partly worthy or “maybe later” worthy. Thor can’t move the hammer AT ALL when the enchantment is first cast. Upon his self sacrifice, it comes to him.
4. Cap didn’t actually keep some dark secret. Cap knew that HYDRA had something to do with Tony’s parents. Not Bucky specifically. Rewatch the scene, it requires some context clues.
5. He kept hydras involvement from tony with pure intentions.
6. The Russo’s directed all three movies involved in the Bucky theory, and their intent as the creators of the story clearly has nothing to do with cap becoming worthy after civil war.
7. Thor says “I knew It!” Thor’s always known cap was worthy.
8. If cap didn’t know he could lift it, he wouldn’t have wasted time trying to in this moment. He has seconds left until Thor dies, he wouldn’t waste those seconds trying to pick up the famously immovable hammer unless he already knew it was definitely an option.
This is an overwhelming preponderance of evidence that cap was always worthy.
Literally the entire point of the character is humility and compassion

In Cap's defense, he never _lied_ about being able to lift the hammer. He is a good _pretender_ but a lousy _liar_. (I "liked" your comment, though)
I think everyone suspected him but none said anything and they forgot about it exept Thor who was nervous until Ragnarok
Civi war theme music intensifies
He didn't. He wasn't able to lift it. He kept Tony's parents' execution a secret. It was after the events of Civil War that he became worthy.
Cap is dripping with worthiness. The fact that he's worthy and doesn't lift Mjolnir just to spare his friends feelings makes him even more worthy!
Totally! What integrity 🇺🇸
Am pretty sure if they both summon the hammer at the same time it would probably go to cap first.

another reason he is worthy, he didnt want to crush Thor's feelings and didnt summon or lift it until he needed to save Thor. thats just so polite of him.
Thor too looked a bit worried when cap tried lifting it and relieved when he couldn't.
So for you he is worthy because he made everyone else think he's not worthy. That's some really big argument right there.
And when he jumped on dummy grenade without any hesitation in an effort to save his fellow men.
He's way too humble

I love that in that scene, Peggy is also running to throw herself on the grenade. Steve just got there first. A truly worthy couple. 😁

In all honesty, that was my favorite scene of all time, Cap with Mjolnir and the shield, but really had a tear to my eye was Thor saying that, he knew it, referring back to that night in the apartment before Ultron showed up.
I love that moment too. And that you knew Thor didn't feel threatened by it, but heartened. That though he'd lost much, he truly had another worthy brother in arms with him. And then he essentially gives him Mjolnir for the battle, as Stormbreaker worked out better for him, and Mjolnir worked out better for Cap. That was great.
I can’t be the only one who LITERALLY got chills at ‘he is what worthy looks like’
100% That scene where he jumps on the grenade still chokes me up a bit.
A skinny man with death wish who failed at the exam to become soldier.
Steve was worthy before the the first captain America movie that’s why he was chosen to be come Captain America
Exactly. The avengers ultron film, tony calls cap just an experiment (huge paraphrase). Even then cap did not blow his own horn to say the reason he was chosen. Further proof of this was the very fact that he tried repeatedly to get into the armed forces to do what he thought was right. Also before the grenade incident was where the doc asked him why he wanted to get into the miltary- did he want to kill nazis? Cap says he doesn't want to kill anyone, just wants to stop bullying.
Yep, that little scene in Ultron wasn’t saying he couldn’t yet, if you can move it any then it can be lifted.
He just was being the humble guy he is and wasn’t going to lift the hammer for sport.
@@d.rabbitwhite Didn't Tony call cap just an experiment in the first avengers though? I don'r recall it happening in Ultron.

Fun fact: If Cap was in The Legend of Zelda, he’d be the owner of the Triforce of Courage by birthright.
Speaking of the legend of Zelda, Link would also be worthy
In the scene where Cap "tries" to pick Mjölnir up to me it kinda looks like as if Thor knew Cap was able to pick it up but was hoping he wouldn't/couldn't
Yep. Like he said you're either worthy or you're not, there's no in-between. The fact that it seemed Cap could nudge that Mjolnir, that's the moment Thor knew Cap could lift it but he didn't. Must be the reason why he usually respects the hell outta Cap out of all the people in the room.
The grenade scene was the moment that sealed him being worthy. He was always worthy. He was always someone who hated bullies stood up for his friends and would sacrifice himself for the little guy(even when he was the little guy).
Yet in civil war he bullied iron man alongside ws. None of this make sense.

Well, Steve was protecting Bucky from Stark. The winter soldier did those horrible things because he was programmed by hydra for that. Bucky was never in control of his mind and body. He was someone else. So holding him responsible for someone else's crime was inappropriate. But Stark was too emotional. So Steve knew if Stark came to know about his parents, he will kill Bucky. So saving his friend was no sin. Steve can be exonerated of this deed.

Явор Марков yea and after he saved his fellow soldiers he surrendered himself to be court martialed, makes even a better hero, he disobeyed orders for the greater good and still turned himself in at the end of the day acknowledging what he did
Cap was always worthy. He was worthy as a "little man", he was worthy as a human being, since his character is to protect peace, bring justice and protect the innocent. With every fiber of his being, and with his very life if needed. Remember he sacrificed his life to protect his country. Always worthy, proven from the grenade test to the party scene.

Good Job buddy! Love you for all your keen observations! They are all worthy!!!
Cap was worthy the first time he failed entry to army and tried again
Possibly worthy even before then. His reason for wanting to join the army in the first place probably made him worth. Remember what he said when asked if he wanted to kill Nazis, “I don’t want to kill anyone. I don’t like bullies; I don’t care where they’re from.”
Steve Rogers was worthy from birth. It's who he is.
@@Jedi_Scowen, I don't know about it being from birth, since people can go many ways or turn into different people depending on how they were raised. But I do agree he was worthy as young as when he had it in his heart to defend good people no matter what. Even if he stood no chance. I think Endgame even did a subtle callback to it. He kept trying to join the army to fight the 'bullies', he stood up to the guy bigger than him in the theater, he desired fighting to save lives even knowing how small and weak he was. He had a heart bigger than anyone and the drive to keep trying to help save people even at his own expense. In Endgame, he got back up and walked toward Thanos' army alone. He knew he couldn't, but not being able to doesn't stop him. To them, he was the same tiny weak guy he grew up as. But he goes forward anyway, doing what he knows is right. Even in the face of certain defeat, his heart tells him to try anyway.
Omg. I kinda teared up a little typing that.
When he let Bucky goes into the dust, same as he sacrifices himself and let Peggie goes
great explanation! keep up the great work!
Its funny to see your channel grows
Becoming Captain America makes you worthy of lifting the hammer, because you have to let go of everything, train the hardest, you have to become a pure soul and start a new life. Steve's coach told him that. Then Bucky could've lifted the hammer then.
