    Cheers for another excellent workout geezer. Im not one for posting anything online but in this case I feel compelled to do so as this channel and community is helping to change lives. As a UK veteran a couple of years ago I found myself in a dark place both physically and mentally. The bottom line is I was still fighting a war in my head. I couldn’t turn off that switch and thought every random geezer in the street was out to get me. Unlike many of our fellow veterans and brothers I was lucky to have support and a young son who needed me. This gave me the strength to push through and begin to make changes. Your workouts and ethos to life and training has without a doubt been a crucial part in fixing my life and helping me fight the battle in my head. Grinding out the hours of Phys you post online has helped me to slowly let go of all the anger and all the negativity in my head and gives me clarity and a purpose to the day.
    Just want to say thank you brother and much respect to the USMC, having worked with you chaps I hold you in the highest regard.

    Fun Tip: pull the band across back/shoulders or neck to add downward force while holding it, if you are doing the strict pushup sets. easier then trying to balance plates on the back

    Got this one in gym on a warm autumn evening in temperate Ireland and it was warm work. It must have been savage in Afghanista. 10 Kg vest.

    I've become a believer in your style of training. Improvement is not complicated, but it is hard. It will suck the whole time, but you'll leave more resilient.

    Just hit this workout today. Started at 10:11am and finished at 10:55am. Not as quick as the wolf, but not bad either. Changed some ab stuff cuz I didn't want to take off the vest I have.

    did this yesterday,think i had 40-50 pounds in my weightvest. put the speed to .75 and finished the third round. slept like a baby last night haha

    Hey Art, I felt that workout at the end just watching you do this. I have a basic weight vest but it's clunky. The Hyper Vest Elite says it comes in tight and narrow, so size up when you purchase. Are you running a large or extra large there? EDIT: I appreciate that the body armour you did this with in Afghanistan would have also been clunky!

    I have shoulder issues, thanks to Crossfit. Any advice on how to get into this with the injuries I carry? I suppose I'm asking, how often do I need to do pull ups if I'm doing burpees?

      As often as your shoulder permits, I would take 1-2 weeks off all upper body work and do stretching and mobility. The smart and professional thing to do is to let it heal.

    Quick question for anyone who can help me out here. I've wanted to add burpees into my training for years now, however, every time I do burpees, my lower back begins to hurt (I have 2 slightly herniated discs). Is there something I am doing wrong, or am I just unable to do burpees due to the condition of my back?

      Try doing them with your feet more spread apart, coming up with your feet together puts stress on the lower back and knees

      Make sure your back is as straight as possible when going down and jumping up. No bending at the lumbar region ( flexion )
      Like art mentioned wider feet and placing your hands in between your knees takes a lot of strain away. Using pushup handles is something I would suggest as well because it significantly allows you for less curvature ( flexion ) of the lumbar spine.
      Also adds extra range of motion which gives a better stretch in the chest! .
      Had surgery twice now.
      Consult your doctor to see if you're allowed to perform them! Stay safe brother.
      Longevity is the endgame

    Please Help Problem: all my muscles are hard/sore/stiff. It's not muscle soreness it doesnt go away. I paused on holiday 1 week muscles still hard less training no power.
    Was my warm up or cool down too short? Do i train to much beyond muscle failure?
    Rest 1-2 Days then i do rows n back extensions 1-2 days rest Burpees and LegRaises 1-2 days Rest Squads. I trained months before all body in the calisthenics park then i started to split because i needed 3-4 hours for the whole body.
    Supplements: Protein, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, L-Arginine, Zink, Omega 3, Citrolin.

      Give it one more full week and if it doesn’t go away see a doctor and get some blood work done.

      You can, just don’t keep your feet to close when you kick out and stand back up

    Great routine. Actually was able to stay on pace this time about 8 reps shy of 200. Used a 15lbs 🦺.
