Showing my age here. Many many years ago, when I was enjoying a turntable, I used a typewriter pad. Remember typewriters? Heavy things prone to vibration. Most sat atop heavy rubber-type pads that were the perfect size for turntables. I may still have mine.

I placed my discounted £12 Aptiitlig on 4 x 50cm Sorbothane hemispheres, then my Technics SL100C straight on top. Cue, for a cost of £20, my system now sounds as if I'd replaced ALL my equipment with gear twice as expensive. Improvements noticed across the spectrum. 70 years a hifi enthusiast, and never before experienced an upgrade like it. Just saying...

Tip I've personally tried myself recently: If you want to make the texture of the bamboo board look deeper and rich, you can use mineral oils that people use for their wooden/bamboo cutting boards. Once you apply it, you will immediately be able to tell the difference in color depth. It should last quite a while since you won't really use the board for cutting. Just make sure to leave it untouched overnight after application for the oils to completely dry and embed onto the surfaces.
I personally did it originally because I sanded away the IKEA logo on the side of the board, so that side was slightly faded from all the sanding. The mineral oils pretty much rejuvenated that side and made it look as if it was never sanded in the first place. Looking back, I would personally do this visual hack regardless of whether or not I had sanded the board.

If you want to go cheaper than that. Solid concrete blocks from the hardware store works well too. Don't want to scratch a surface. Yoga mats cut to size also works for the cheap.

See i found this hack by someone else year or 2 back...but i still question the bamboo material. I think im on this thought train oddly due to skateboards using it for its "snappiness" and "pop" characteristics. Tho i know it is not used as a tonewood for acoustic instruments cuz it doesnt have the ideal characteristics as say spruce, mohagony, and others. Im def going to try this tho lol

Keep in mind the weight of your turntable and the weight of the Ikea board... the Sorbothane feet listed wouldn't work for my set up based on weight... I had to go up to the dura 50. The recommended weights are listed in a PDF called Sorbothane's Standard Product Guide. Best to check it before blindly ordering.

65 this year. Bought a low cost Sony turntable to play my old vinyl. Also had my huge speakers floor speakers redone (new woofers) and my problem now is that with my wife working at home (upstairs) I am in a very small room downstairs. I like it LOUD and when I get to 11 o'clock (or close) I get a huge rumble-feedback from the turntable. I have the speakers as far apart as possible, yet the turntable is still pretty close. The platforms are out of my budget, in fact many of them cost more than I paid for the turntable! The Ikea board may be something i'll look into. Thanks!

Putting cutting boards as solutions to vibration control is laughable, none of these ikea hacks come with any data, no before or after measuremnts or any measurmetns at all, just some clowns saying oh it 50% better or its way better or its much better.
This is not how you control vibrations, its a joke.
How about I craft you a platform that is 1 millimeter thick and actually does reduce vibrations, measurably and considerably.
Id suggest you do some research particularly on visco-elastic Polymeres.
Save your cutting board for Salami and onions.
