I like that term "artificial ADHD". Sadly a lot of ADHD symptoms and mental disorders are self-inflicted through screen addiction, but people would sooner swallow dangerous pills than do 10-15 minutes of meditation and reduce their dependence on their phone. But if you can reach just a handful of people with your videos it will be worth it for the life-changing difference your advice could make to their lives.
Hey thank you, I really hope so! The video is less about specifics and more intended to inspire. I appreciate your comment!
Great video! I meditate almost daily as a little break between longer work sessions. I like Andrew huberman's non-sleep deep rest 10 minute protocol in the afternoon, I also do a silent 5 minute meditation and then with 5 minutes of breath work more often as a little 10 minute break from work.
One of the big things I think many people get wrong about meditation is that they believe it should be perfectly focused for 10 minutes and you mind shouldn't wander, but what is interesting is that it's the wandering of the mind and then the refocusing that is helping you develop the benefits of meditation! It's the refocusing 🙂
I just watched your Disney video yesterday, what a curious idea that was, thank you for sharing!
You’re very welcome! And I think you’re right - it’s not about being totally focused the whole time you’re meditating, it’s about training your mind to resist distractions, disengage from rumination, and to develop a greater meta-awareness overall.
Ah how did I not know Huberman had a deep rest protocol - thank you for sharing!!
@@r.d.fodrek I have his virtusan app that has a ten minute nsdr and 30 min 40hz for free. Paid for longer.
keep it up bro
You got it 😉
Good video.
Do you have a video planned on Kolb's cycles? I think I got decently good at it and I almost think about my thinking automatically now. It's pretty amazing really.
I've found a lot of peace through exercise. Have you done any studies on how meditation and exercise can work together.
Thanks for your nice comments! I haven't personally done scientific research on this, but I do combine the two myself - and I highly recommend it! Have you done any meditation?
@@Meta-Think Not in any kind of structured way, but I absolutely resonate with the idea that calming your mind is key to doing ANYTHING successfully. I am diagnosed with ADHD, which is supposed to be compulsory, but if I'm being honest with myself, it only is when I'm not in control.
@@CodingThingsIRL oh yeah, totally understand. I have ADHD too - that was my main motivation for doing 1,000+ hours of mediation and doing a PhD in metacognition research! My method is the Vipassana technique I mention in the video
Thank you dear , subscribe and notification all❤
So glad you liked it - feel free to send me any thoughts!
@@Meta-Think yes sir absolutely ❤️
what meditation i start with can you explain should i focus on my breath , focus on point on the wall or vipassana meditation where i start plz
I suggest having a meditation routine where you focus on your breath, try to feel the sensation of your breath on the touch of the skin below the nostrils above the upper lip. When your mind wanders, bring it back.
If you really want to give yourself the best change, I suggest going to a 10day Vipassana intensive course. They are free (you can donate after or not) and they’re the best way to learn. I’ve done about a dozen of them.
@@Meta-Think thank you
Hey brother can you suggest some ways not to fall asleep after we wake up in the morning?
That’s a good one - what always worked for me was to leave my phone/alarm across the room so I would physically have to get out of bed to turn it off. Remember to hit snooze!
@@Meta-Think look I'm conscious after turning my alarm off by walking some steps and then clicking a picture (not random but it always has to be the accurate one! As selected)
But I don't know what happens I just somehow end up in my bed again
It's so damn weird nowadays even after waking up in the morning I somehow sleep again (never happened before this)
Any suggestions?
@@KRISH2163 Hmmm well it sounds like you’re chronically sleep deprived, which happened to me for years growing up and I didn’t realize it. The body will insist on getting the sleep it needs. Count the hours you get - is it at least 7-8 or 5-6? Also, do you take an medication before sleeping? Try turning the light 💡 in the morning, and turning on music, and going to lie on your couch instead of your bed. Or go to extremes and get in the bathtub and turn on the water. I’m leaning toward you being sleep deprived and your body forcing you to make up for it.
@@Meta-Think that's probably the case!
I'll try those things out in the morning!!
Thank Youuu!!!!
