I miss how dark Dragon Ball used to be, Dragon Ball Super needs to step up their game when it comes back because I miss the blood and the SAVAGERY of the characters

Yeah for real the gritty dialogue and animation was top tier super does has some good animation episodes but some of them suck and the dialogue is pretty bad sometimes
Its because the regulations around airing anime on television was changed to only have kid friendly anime before 10 o clock and thats why the manga has blood and the show has spit instead. A huge demographic for dragonball is kids now so i doubt the anime would go back to its old ways but the manga is super brutal if you want to check that out
Vegeta is all around fun to watch, be it him totally humbling and crushing his enemy, or when his massive ego ends up getting him humbled and crushed.
Fun fact: before seeing Yamcha, Gero felt his energy and thought it was Goku.

It's been fun watching you enjoy these iconic scenes, man 💯 you get small tastes through the game (which is a great game btw) then completely enjoy the anime scene afterwards, I enjoy the way you planned this. Also, Bruce Faulconer made the music for the english dub, fucking chef's kiss 🔥🔥🔥 absolutely iconic.

@@painvillegaming4119 I'm saying Vegeta because he has those two different tracks and they're both great. All those other songs you've mentioned are great as well. Although I think it took multiple seasons for super to get decent music. And even then, 70% of it is just instrumental versions of the opening titles.

You mentioned that Vegeta's kick reminded you of Goku punching Jiren. Vegeta's kick was animated by Masahiro Shimanuki, while Goku's punch was animated by Naoki Tate. Well fun fact: Tate actually worked under Shimanuki during a lot of DBZ, and Tate actually animated the section from 9:16 - 10:09 in this video.

man bruce falconers tracks really gaved dbz a special vibe idk man hard to put into words how badass some scenes felt with those tracks playing
The Faulconer soundtrack genuinely feels like some kind of mystical space warriors. Made you feel like you were truly watching the two most powerful beings in existence, powerful enough to kill gods and destroy entire plants, fight to the death. But at the same time, watching a world where the most powerful technique, the spirit bomb, relies on the collective strength of many weak individuals. Feels spiritual almost, and the soundtrack captured that vibe so well.
When the super Saiyan transformation happened originally the writers didn't explain it correctly because they said you had to be pure of heart but Vegeta was only pure heart of jealousy or hatred in himself for not becoming super Saiyan yet that's how he ended up becoming super Saiyan.
That was vegetas first Big Bang attack. He says “Big Bang attack” in a different English version

I don't know if you just skipped it or not, but the andriods also destroy the city before leaving to fight Goku which is quite a nice scene.... that and with Gero's death, I'd watch the full scene to where they are introduced to 17 & 18, wont say what happens but it's a nice scene with trunks involved.

The American broadcasts had an entirely separate one
While later rereleases of the english dub used the original Japanese soundtrack which is also the one used in kakarot
And depending on which version your watching can really change the vibe of the scene

After this fight, all the other fights are so awesome especially in the anime. The game doesn't show a lot of the blood
once again props for using the old dub music. ppl hate on it when it was literally made with that old dub in mind; the japanese music doesnt work with it at all. kai music and OG japanese (with JP voices) are both awesome as well though.
