Thanks for letting us know where you are. I was guessing South Lancs from your accent, but clearly I'm not an expert, I know that changes from town to town round your neck of the woods. So I'm watching this a year later to prepare myself for the month ahead. I'm in Somerset, so a bit more sheltered from the wind, but similar frost dates. You give really good clear information. I kind of know what I'm doing, but the reminder to wait for the weather to calm down is good. So I'm watching this for the details of strategy and tactics to give my seedlings the best start. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience!

Depending on what type of plug try Tomato Food or Liquid Seaweed diluted as per instructions

I chitted red potatoes and removed sprouts except 2 in each, like you did. I have an empty container in which grew sweet potatoes. Can I use it for potatoes? If not, what can grow safely grow there?
Sounds like rain there. We're having 2 days of sun in wine country of Lodi, CA then 5 days of rain, hopefully no destructive winds like before.

@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk May I know if bone meal is organic. I don't buy fertilizers or soil for food crops since I make my own soil.
