- Beans are the ultimate in comfort foods. Combine beans and soup together and what do you get? A great tasting, fill you up meal. It’s very versatile as you can use the veggies that you have on hand or any meat. My son could not get enough and designated all leftovers as his own. Lol. #beansrecipe #comfortfoods #souprecipe
Navy Bean Soup
1 lb of navy beans
2 Large Carrots
2 Large Stalks
1 Large onion
3 garlic cloves
1 bay leave
1\4 tsp thyme
1 chicken stock cube
1 32 oz of chicken broth
2 TBS butter
I used pre sliced Ham and cut it into cubes. Use any meat like sausage , even chicken will work.
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
red pepper/Cheyenne optional
This goes great with all types of bread. My favorite is a biscuit to get at those juices.
Cook until beans are tender.
The herbs de provenance is actually a real good add/sub!!!
