Thank you for your video. I would probably use a stick blender (at the end) to blend maybe a third of the soup to thicken it up a bit. I also think caramelizing the vegetables in a tiny bit of butter or o.oil, before adding them to the beans, would enhance the flavor. I remember the original soup from the 70s. There was a noi owned restaurant in the DC area--14th street (if my memory serves me correctly). The soup was a fabulous meal for a broke H.U. student. So yeah, this brings back memories.

FYI- adding a teaspoon of baking soda will kill that which cause flatulence.

Well done! You probably have heard by now that corn is one of the most used GMO (bio-engineered) products. So I wouldn't recommend corn oil or anything derived from corn. Which is really sad as I used to love eating corn but won't touch the stuff now. Even so called organic corn is no longer safe from contamination.😢

Love this but Olive Oil should not be cooked. Use other oil like Avocado oil.
According to the Messenger we shouldn't eat seeds so instead of grapeseed oil use avocado oil.

Why distilled water for soaking?
Halal, has to be clean as possible.
Tap water, etc., sometimes has remains of too much calcium, or worse remains of pesticides, chlorine et cetera. Therefore the lady in the video recommends using distilled, clean water.
