I'm installing mine over tile in a corner with plaster walls. Do I have to get it down to studs, or can I leave most of the plaster in place?

So do you install the walls first? ALSO your included instructions mention THREE very specific sealants.

What do we do if our drain says to use plumbers putty?

Nice video, but there are a couple of problems with it. In this video and others like it from Delta, you mention to use the sealants and adhesive’s recommended by the manufacturer, but in the paperwork with the shower base and surround, there is no mention of what kind of sealant and adhesive to use. I believe you are using DAP Kwik Seal Plus, but you have purposely blurred out the tube of sealant, so I’m kind of guessing here. Please don’t keep the customer in the dark on which are approved sealants and adhesives. Is the DAP Kwik Seal Plus good for everything?
Also, when you installed the shower base to the floor you did not first install the drain, so now you have to rip out the base and start over. One other thing you should be aware of is that there have been numerous reports of this shower base cracking at the drain and I think it might have to do with the drain fitting extending below the bottom of the shower base and contacting the floor, putting upwards pressure on the drain cutout in the base and cracking it. Therefore, make sure the retaining nut on the drain fits cleanly in the hole of the subfloor and underlayment so there is no pressure exerted upwards on the drain.

I received an additional insert regarding sealant. They mentioned "Silicone and acrylic latex sealant are not recommended due to potential adhesion and shrinkage". "For best results, use an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant such as:
DAP 3.0 Kitchen, Bath and Plumbing High Performance Sealant
Red Devil RD3000 Advanced Kitchen and Bath Sealant
      ECO-BOND Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing adhesive and sealant"

Exactly. That's why I'm searching for videos and sites for the recommended sealants and adhesives. After all, they keep mentioning the warranty issue if you used the wrong sealant or adhisive.

@@texteacher7706 Read my post. I literally listed the exact sealant that you need, recommended by the manufacturer.

This is why I am here again... In one of their videos a guy says he is using a combo adhesive / sealant, but like here no names & it's blurred...

what a useless video. Someone who's doing this the way being shown is probably building a home so has a contractor or builder.
