When i searched further, I found that they have a divine year made of 270 days and human year made of 360 days + 5 days and culminating in an epoch of 43 lakh + years. Sugriva's expedition to South America had to go through the Behring sea area which incidentally was a land bridge then. All cultures were then on the lower continental shelves by the sea as today before the massive sea rise. I doubt they crossed the Pacific from West to East by ship, but I have not read Ramayan. My opinion is based on my knowledge of Native American cultures of Mexico and Central America and their history.

In Mexico, they teach little kids about the 7 Nahuatlaca tribes which came from the north throuth the Strait of Behring, South through North America establishing centers of culture while searching for the sign of an eagle devouring a snake in the middle of a lake, now Mexico City. Are there really many languages in the world? Or are these just names given to the regional variants of some root language?
Isn't that why language names are almost always linked to place names. e g.
      Gujarat Gujarati,
      Bengal Bengali,
      Malay mountains Malayalam,
      Tamil Nadu Tamil
      Sindh Sindhi
      England English
      France French
      Greece Greek etc.
But then consider the words Prakrut and Sanskrit. These are exceptions to the rule and are not bound to geographical names.
And hence these according to me are the original languages with Prakrut being the core substance and Sanskrit being it's refinement and the two are inherently inseparable.
Even Prakrut later bifurcated into many variants and got regionalized with names such as Maharashtri Prakrut etc, and then further bifurcated into the various languages we speak today.
According to me, Sanskrit and it's underlying Prakrut/s should be treated as one single entity under the banner of Sanskrit.

As far as I have read, Europeans went on expedition to discover Sea Route to India, for trade/medicines/gold/diamonds/etc. Because, when they travelled /traded with India by land route, they had to pass through Ottoman Empire who we’re charging them huge taxes/ customs. To avoid that they went on sea journey/expedition they ended up in Americas and they thought that they reached India. That’s why they started calling the local people ‘the Indians’ only to discover later that they reached americas and not India. That’s why, later one group were/are called Red Indians and others the Indians, to distinguish. I hope this helps and hope I am correct!

@@adolforosado It may have become so, at a later point in time. But the origin of word ‘Indian’ did not start that way. Like someone else on this chat mentioned, India was the name used by Non-Indians/ Non-Bharateeya’s to refer to land/population that was to the east of River Sindhu/Sindh ( they called it Indhu with S silent, which later transformed to India and Hindu etc) … These were the names used well before (2000 years before) Europeans went on sea expeditions and found Americas…. the oldest known civilization from the region is called Indus Valley civilization, because of the river Sindhu/Sindh…. Even before Europeans knew we existed , we Indians called our ocean to the south as ‘Indu Maha Sagar’ which literally translates to ‘Indu Big Ocean’…so there are very good reasons as to why the word India got coined and how it connects to the local rivers and oceans, etc. It may be used with a different connotation today, but that doesnot justify the origin and meaning of the word.
