Samundramanthan is basically manthan or debate or discussion between two large civilizations, who met at a point from across the Samudra. one civilization from this side of samudra and another civilization from the other side of samudra. they met and talked and new idea and products were the result. in future same will happen when we meet another civilization from another planet and an Aakashamanthanaa will take place

Thankful to shri Shashikant ji for raising the question of today's topic Nileshji please take one of such questions weekly or atleast monthly and try to throw some light on the right kind of perspective to look at such topics. It was indeed a way of communication and to preserve the knowledge system through narration of the legends or stories. Evidence of it is provided narrating legend and its decoding is available in
Bhagwat purana. . Refer to story of king Purunjana in part 4 . Symbolism of story of king Purunjana is revealed. on page 553 Bhagwat purana published by Gita Press. Scholars should develop methodology to decode the legends in heritage of sanskrit texts. I have decoded two legends union of Shiva with Uma and birth of Kartikeya narrated in Valmiki Ramayana . Thanks Nilesh ji for attempting to decode samundra manthan story.

    DR. NILESH OAK...!!!
Some things are to be interpreted literally... But, then we have to use the TIME & PERIOD... applying the B. E. S. T. & A. S.
Next, If we are interpreting SYMBOLICALLY then we have to apply every branch of science, history and evolution from micro to macro world...!!!
    I have interpreted
' paalaazhi madhanam' through ASTROPHYSICS AND EVOLUTION... since our vedic ancestors used astronomy & astrology to interpret events and also in teaching, ceremonies and to start a particular project ,
Since everything is the light & energy...!!!
It is hard to summarize ... because it covers the union of the vast array of different branches of knowledge... Like we call the VEDHIC WISDOM ( VEDIC WISDOM )...!!!
    I started using ' H ' in the
Spelling of VEDHIC... to give a correct pronounciation...!!!
    THANKS AGAIN DR. N. OAK...!!!

After some deep thinking I concluded Samudra Manthan to be a semi literal event which goes as follows:
Kshira Sagar is actually a region space with high gravity. As we are surrounded by lavanoda sagar, and kshir is more dense than salt water. As we are in Space the parvat should be a huge mass which is most probably a black hole or something of that sort, which caused severe churning of spacetime around it. The churning does signify cooperation instead of literally being a tug of war. The aim of the whole event could be extraction of energy from the heavy mass. Kurma might act as a control rod. Halahala could have been the anomaly noone thought of (a break in soace time maybe). Amrit could not have been an elixir to immortality to longevity as the lifespans of devas even brahma are fixed, rather it should have granted the possesee invincibility in war (cannot be killed before they naturally die)

I urge all here to study how human memory works. The memory works by retaining images/ideas which are "weird"/"fantastic". Thus highly complex ideas are represented by weird images.
The "Samudra Manthan" was thus used to make humanity remember the highly complex ideas.

Nilesh Ji, I think, it could be better understood by Einstein’s special theory of relativity. As he proved conclusively we live in a four dimensional world. Deva’s live in five directional world. There is no hierarchy in five dimensional world. Bramha, Vishnu & Mahesh are the three gods who look after the four dimensional world.
God himself comes on the planet earth on and off.
In Geeta Bhagwan has very clearly stated that he could transfer Arjun to five dimensional 53:19 world where time is just one dimension. He showed that all the Arjun’s dear ones were dead.

Does it indicate we all have generalized common template like our DNA which is yet different for each individual?

Is it possible that the timeline of Mahabharat could be 5561 BCE * 2 or 5561 BCE * 3 etc from year 0 or 1 of common era, as these cosmic arrangements of planets, stars, constellations etc are cyclical in nature? And likewise for Ramayana & others.

      1. No, it is not possible for Mahabharata to occur in any other year but 5561 BCE.
      2. Ditto for Ramayana. It is not possible for Ramayana to occur in any other year (12209 BCE) or timeframe (13th millennium BCE)
      3. Astronomy is much misunderstood. Very few things in astronomy repeat and recur. In fact, this allowed ancient Hindus to make use of astronomy as time.

Vasuki means the constellation Draco lying round the pole ("mount Meru or Sumeru") and placed on Kurma which means the shield of a tortoise = the northern half of the planet. The Asuras are at the head of Vasuki, meaning they are located in the west and the gods (at this time Daityas) were pulling the tail of Vasuki meaning they are located in the east. The churning of the milk ocean means the increase of the earth rotation as already the indian scholar B.G. Sidharth in his book The Celestial Key to the Vedas page 110 correct interpreted. This is described in detail by the ancient Greek writer Plutarch in his book About Isis and Osiris. There he describes that the former 360-days-year in which sun- and moon year were simultan changed because of an increase of the earth rotation into a 365-days-year. The earth rotated more often on her course round the sun. This means that the now moon year is the former 360-days-year.

Dev and Danav live in higher dimension which is beyond space and time. But it has to be after the universe is created and before any life existed on any planet in universe. So it can not be timed as there is no astronomy in higher dimension. Matsya Avatar and Kurum Avatar matches Darwin's theory of organic evolution. It is story of evolution of life, you can not take it literally.

Samudramanthan is symbolic . Vasuki is kundalini energy in the shape of snake resting head downward. Rakshas are the desires emanated in muladhara and swadhishtana energy centres of the body. Devas are the divine qualities trying to bring the energy up for expansion of consciousness and finally moksha through brahmarandra. The milky sea is the pranic body under which this physical body is in active mode. This what I understood in my research.

    • @NileshOak
      @NileshOak  Před 5 měsíci +2

Very good interpretation. At the level of individual (sharir-mana-buddhi complex), this makes total sense. Ditto can be extended to social complex as in development and evolution of civilization.

BTW i have no problem with english.
It wiĺ be interesting to know about samudra manthan. Heard abut it from elders but just little bit about it without much details or symbolism.
In my assessment, it symbolises an event or group of events which took place in the past when SURs & Asurs work togather where the outcomes were both good and bad.
Good one were like Amrut, kamdhenu etc etc, bad one were Vish which had to cindumed by Lord Shiva.
This also resulted into the conflict for amruta where asurs tricked of so that non of them become immortals because thst would have been harmful for the entire world.......

Dear Mr. Oak, I was really in total consonance with your method of multidisciplinary localisation of events of our ancient Itihasa like Ramayana and Mahabharata. But there remains a great part of Spiritual reality which ultimately gave rise to Material Reality. Many of the oldest verses of RgVeda as well as the Puranas point to myths which essentially deal with the structure of our mind and ultimately to the evolution of the Brain for our species. The structural composition of the Mind which I would prefer to categorise as Psychological Archetypes such as Devas, Asuras, Nagas etc map to the different cortical structures of the modern human brain and give rise to different races of Man represented by the Archetype Yayati, and also some myths portray the evolution of various lobes of the Cerebral Cortex from the unicellular forms of life passing through primitive layers of the brain which first developed in Fishes, Reptiles, Birds, Mammals, Different Hominid species and ultimately Man. So some kinds of myths are about development of Consciousness and Myths represent that. There may be many variations of myths and it doesn't matter as the archetypal identity remains same. These basically have relationship with Consciousness studies as Scientists slowly realise that Consciousness is not a byproduct of neuronal activity - but rather the other way round Universal Consciousness representing the Nirguna Brahman ultimately is the only Reality behind the Saguna Prakriti or Maya which brings forth both Sookshma and Sthoola dimensions of a multilevel reality.
The myths of Kadru and Vinata, the myth of Samudramanthana are all about the evolution of species and ultimately about the evolution of the cortical structures of the brain in the different species ...which culminated first in the Krita Yuga in its most pristine Consciousness .
