I loooove hearing Vimal. I could listen to him all day :3
Please visit Sanchi Stupa while you are in MP.
This is wonderful! Your guide amazes me. All that knowledge and not stumbling over a single word. I will say Drew Binsky and Yes Theory/Seek Discomfort have been to cave drawings in Southern Iraq, and in Aboriginal areas of Australia archaelogists have placed as 30,000 years old, and 60,000 years old (prehistoric man), respectively. The human art world may have started only a few hundred miles from your origin in New Zealand, Karl! How great is that? You're my go-to for Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
I am a tribal and I feel very proud to say that even today Indian tribes make this type of painting, I appeal to all the people of the world that whenever you come to MP, you should definitely explore the tribal culture madhya pradesh.
@@subharayExactly… Tribe is just a nomenclature devised by British/western mindset. These people are as civilised as we are today ( just on the other way being spritually advanced) and not necessarily being technologically developed.
@@subharaytirbals are real owner
It's the perfect word to describe what was at the time. @@subharay
@@dineshbugalia7297 There's nothing in the term tribe that denotes being uncivilized. It's like saying family or community.
The location is Bhimbetka rock shelters, Madhya Pradesh, India. Near to MP's capital, Bhopal. It's a UNESCO Heritage site.
The First of India are the Tribals. Indigenous people of today are the descendants. Nobody will tell you that.

Fascinating place and all of the eras of rock paintings. I have never heard of this location and I studied anthropology and archeology in college. I was robbed! Vimal is such a great guide.
It wasn't a big part of indian history syllabi untill recently. So it makes all the more sense that foreigners wouldn't know about it.
Western history obsesses about the Middle East and Central Asia as the origins of civilization and Indic history is always ignored and there is a bias towards showing Indic civilization a more recent civilization around 1500 BCE (remember the failed theory of Aryan Invasion)…. That way it is shown as though the civilization is recent and came from Central Asia …. Which is far from the truth!
These are of the 1st Indians, the 1st human migration out of Africa.
They were hunter-gatherers until the Zagros migration into India around 10K years ago, which spread agriculture leading to the Indus in the West, & Dravidians in the South
Nonsense.. @@alani3992
Dravidian n Indic civilizations we're flourishing date way back than what you read..
Many more yet to be discovered on paper..
Indian students are being murdered in your country for no apparent reason show why you people were always so afraid. How you all destroyed the most of the Eorld Afghan, Iran Syria. But remember we have never backed down and never will. You all will pay for the wrong deed
The Guide's voice is amazing. Perfect voice for background narration
Same what I was thinking, credit of this successful video goes to him only
Guide looking like he's about to say why are you geh?
Good observation!! I trained voice for forty years and was often surprised by how little people heard voice quality. Now I'm shocked and pleased when people actually make note of it!!
The guide has an especially melodic tone.
"People are good everywhere" So nice to hear that.
I love Vimal's voice--and presence and knowledge.

That's so great!
If any Bengali is here must be nostalgic remembering KAKABABU's "BHOPAL RAHASYA". First time we came to know about this place in our childhood.

I've visited India quite a few times but not in the middle - I think it has to be on my list to see. Your guide was wonderful - he had the same style of delivery as many of the guides I've used. I agree it's worth engaging someone to get the full background and enhance the experience. They are not expensive and impart loads of information. In all my visits I only had two that were a bit "dodgy".
Madhya Pradesh is indeed beautiful, less populated and much peaceful
Visit ajanta and ellora caves better than this
Madhya Pradesh is blessed with nature and historic Places, hope you will vist and enjoy your it❤.
Recently I visited Bryce Canyon Park, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Canyon in the USA. I never thought that a Rock City thousands of years old would be similar to Bryce Canyon rock formation. Just amazing.....Government of India has done a great job in making this a national treasure. And how clean the place is....I plan to promote this place and forward this video to many. Good work, Karl Rock.....You are rocking in the rock city of Madhya Pradesh......
Earth is the same everywhere - Panguitch Utah or Bhopal Madhya Pradesh. What a beautiful planet we all have. Our home!
India's Morgan Freeman, I can listen to him for hours! he can narrate a simple trip to a convenience store and make it sounds like a NatGeo trip.
Please come to india❤
Please more of these videos!!!! So interesting and such an incredible place to see. Love and respect to you...
Definitely will be doing some more longer stuff like this 🙏
Really impressive. Didn't know about this. There is an ancient site from Gupta period near Gwalior. But the place is not known to many. A visit to that place would be interesting.
Wow! I remember this place from my text books.
We gotta go together to Madhya Pradesh sometime babe. It's amazing.
Hi Manisha, love from the UK 🇬🇧 to you and all your family. Hope you are able to spend time on your village while Karl is on his travels bring us all these amazing places to our screens. Thank you for lending him to us. May you always stay blessed, you are an inspiration to many women and although I am white British, I show you to my Indian friends and some say they have gained so much more strength in their minds since hearing you talk and seeing what you have been through, they all would say Hi too, I know they would. So this is from them also.

WoW l have been to Madhya Pradesh many times but never knew of this superb place. The guide was very knowledgeable with his 20 years of working on the site.
I’ve heard and read about this place but had no idea how incredibly fascinating it was. Thanks for this remarkable video!
Amazing Karl. The knowledge, passion and appreciation of this humble staff member is the greatest. Won’t get this in Australia without paying through your teeth. Please Karl send me this guides details. I want to donate a sum for him…he deserves it. Thank you
Thanks Karl! Thank you for taking us to these historical places in India. I am an Indian living in the US and dream to visit all these places one day ❤️ you are amazing…btw loved the guide as well!
What a beautiful place. Nature, rock formations, prehistoric drawings from 30K years ago, so beautiful. This guide is great, he probably just needs to do more walking to lose excess weight, and get healthy for his own sake, he is panting, good to see a doctor soon, best of luck to him. Thanks for showing.
The comment regarding the guide panting, he is walking and talking a lot, it’s probably quite warm aswell.
If you are indigenous ie Black there is no such thing as prehistoric, since world history is Black history. Shalawam
We need more guides like Vimal sir. He has good knowledge and is giving time at each site sharing every minute detail to make Karl more memorable
Incredible India! Extremely interesting old rock formations that were shaped by water and risen 2000’ above sea level. These rock formations accommodated ancient Hunter gatherers with rock cave shelters. These ancients left their pictographs. Beautiful and awesome tour of the caves of the oldest original peoples of India. Thanks!
32:00 I believe this is what the Egyptians called the "Apex Bull". It was giant in size.
It's basically a bovine species which is also called Mithun or Nilgai. It's huge and has a massive muscle profile. In Hindi it's called Gour. It's feet are white and look as if it's wearing a permanent set of white football socks!

Thank you Karl for visiting and uploading video of this amazing place.😊
I love the initiative the Govt of Bharat has taken to amend textbooks with updated knowledge as reference, to boot. Thanks Karl, keep on Rockin it. [edit] This is one of your most meaningfully influential episodes. Again, thank you in deep appreciation.
It's amazing to think how isolated some Central Indian communities were. They were still living in the Paleolithic while North Indian rulers were having interaction with the Greeks and the Chinese and waging wars all over the subcontinent, building massive cities and having armies of thousands of elephants and horses.
The interactions that happened between the "advanced" North Indians and the hunters from Central India would have been so fascinating. Imagine seeing horses for the first time, imagine getting to learn agriculture for the first time.
It was no less fascinating than the interactiom between Europeans and Native Americans.
Thank you for the tour, Karl!! ❤
Yes I agree your guide is awesome!
This is truly mesmerising, love that you showed it to us Indians because I didnt knew about it.
If they develop this place many foreign people will come here. Huge potential.
