A Tale of Two Calendars - Dr C K Raju - India Inspires Talks

  • The Christian (Gregorian) calendar is a thoroughly unscientific calendar. This calendar, which propagates superstition and historical untruth, is the only calendar that most Western educated people learn. The Western educated elite in India rarely know much about the traditional Indian calendar and they regard the Christian calendar as secular and universal!
    The traditional Indian calendar is an accurate and scientific calendar, which avoids superstition and historical untruths. In India, agricultural success required a good calendar which could tell the monsoons accurately. The Indian calendar has a concept of the rainy months of Sawan and Bhadon, known to every Indian child through the culture. This calendar should, therefore, have been adopted after independence. If science is not mindless belief in the West, the traditional Indian calendar must continue to be used till one has a demonstrably better theory of the monsoons. This would probably save the lives of millions of Indian farmers.
    About Dr. Chandra Kant Raju - He is a computer scientist, mathematician, educator, physicist,and polymath researcher. He is affiliated with the Centre for Studies in Civilizations in New Delhi. Currently living in Malaysia, he occupies a function as lecturer of History and philosophy of science at Albukhary International University. He has also done considerable historical research, most notably claiming infinitesimal calculus was transmitted to Europe from India. Through his research, Raju has claimed that the philosophies that underlie subjects like TIME and MATHEMATICS are rooted in the theocratic needs of the Roman Catholic Church. He has authored 12 books and dozens of articles, mainly on the subjects of physics, mathematics, and the history and philosophy of science.

      in Kaliyuga- which started after 4000 BC, distortions started to happen in everything from darshanas to sanskrit language. Distortion of hindu/vedic practices (outside India) led to paganism which led to abrahamic religions. Distortion of sanskrit led to European and Indian vernaculars and other world languages.

    the seafaring people of Kerala along with some sages from the Himalayas set sail from India and went to South America and
    was the source of the Mayan culture. It goes on to compare the commonality of the culture with that of Kerala/India by the way the women plated their hair, they both wore hibiscus flowers in their hair, they worshiped the monkey God, the architecture of their temples etc. The keeper of the palm leafs is Dr. Ramyogeshwar Rao a retired professor who lives in Amalapuram in AP.

    India needs a massive "decolonization-of-Indian-minds" drive. First and foremost, Indian education system should reject the notion of secularism and unabashedly reprogram it based on Indian traditional knowledge systems. The thing is, Indian TKS will incorporate modern scientific knowledge without a problem unlike the inherent conflict that exists between science and Christian theology that the world has inherited. We are colonized anymore and we got to let go the sense of inferiority. The sophistication and the advanced nature of Indian knowledge systems will create not only a better India but the whole world will benefit from it. It is time to break the knowledge hegemony of the west, which is essentially a synthetic unity created from highly dogmatic Judeo-Christian theological frameworks and binary logic of Greeks. Read authors like Rajiv Malhotra, Vamsee Juluri, CK Raju, Subhash Kak, S. Gurumurthy, Rajeev Srinivasa....list is very long, but the MSM and Indian academia will never talk about them.

The early Europeans I think perhaps were focused on material due I think to their wicked harsh environments....however they were very spiritual before the Romans and Catholics destroy e millions of people a good example is the history of Britain. I can't even keep track of all the invasions that island suffered through. The Queen of England Is actually more German than British. So even the English lost their natural culture. Their situation reminds me a lot of the Native Americans...and so many other cultures in modern times by the Dutch-Germans-British-Americans.-French....The long range of these nations consists of long complicated background stories full of nearly constant violence whether defensive or aggressive... And now the are out of hands. Their money-military-knowledge-science-medicine-foods-clothing...all has been responded to destroy populate the planet- while they destroy the environment and nature of humanity so one certain grouping of elites my control the entire planet...and maintain robotic control of a slave human biopic creature. Should have kept Europeans nobility stupid I guess. or should not have given over our wealth to Rothschild groups or royalty. The following summary taken from CK-Raju's 'Is science western in origin"?
    On stock Western history, science originated among the Greeks, and then developed in post-renaissance Europe. This story was fabricated in three phases.
    First, during the Crusades, scientific knowledge from across the world, in captured Arabic books, was given a theologically-correct origin by claiming it was all transmitted from the Greeks. The key cases of Euclid (geometry) and Claudius Ptolemy (astronomy)-both concocted figures-are used to illustrate this process.
    Second, during the Inquisition, world scientific knowledge was again assigned a theologically-correct origin by claiming it was not transmitted from others, but was “independently rediscovered” by Europeans. The cases of Copernicus and Newton (calculus) illustrate this process of “revolution by rediscovery”.
    Third, the appropriated knowledge was reinterpreted and aligned to post-Crusade theology. Colonial and racist historians exploited this, arguing that the (theologically) “correct” version of scientific knowledge (geometry, calculus, etc.) existed only in Europe.
    These processes of appropriation continue to this day.

    Another proof that the current number system (now called Indo-Arab numeral system) originated from India is the fact that no European language has the decimal system of numerals. They have special words for numbers, e.g. in English, there's no ten-one, ten-two, unlike Sanskrit which has eka-dasha (one +ten), dwa-dasha (two+ten). Decimal system is a gift from India to the world.

    • @SantaClaauz
      @SantaClaauz Před 7 měsíci +1

      Actually Latin has that system as well:
      undecim = one-ten
      duodecim = two-ten
      The difference is not that the European languages never contained the system but rather that the Europeans never made a proper arithmetic system out of the inherent structure of the language.

    @Jennifer Grove (Dark Moon) Why does the "mocking" touch a raw nerve in you? Why should it hurt? Ever wonder? Its not "vitriol" when its true, you know. Self-righteous do-gooders with the white man's burden need to come to terms with what their "civilisation" has perpetrated on this planet, and continue to do so. Instead of becoming half-baked new-agers with no Drishti or Shraddha, first empty your cup, then study, understand & acknowledge the reality. That is the first step if respect & redemption is what you seek. "I don't mind helping the ignorant to understand better, but when they think they already know, there is nothing that can be done." This is exactly the kind of barbaric conceit that drives your creed till this day to keep worsening the cosmic nightmare you've created with such impunity.

    God Shiva at Brahma Kumaris has taught Abrahmin (founder of Muslim religion) started 2500 years ago; Budha came 2250 year and Christ came 2000 years ago. With your talk it finally gets scientific proof - as how dates in Gregorian are inaccurate and thus confusion in literature (Budha 5 BC)

Wish Indian Government realizes the disservice it is doing the the humanity at large by not preserving and encouraging learning and research based on traditional Indian knowledge system which is undoubtedly much more scientific than the imported imperialist systems which lacks usefulness to the needs of the people of India.

    WE eastern world (include china Japan) Indians should have perfected Model of Alternative calendar over present Gregorian. Next whole world calendar can be turned into Panchanga system. Pity is Our panchanga sometimes festivals observed in 2 days, there is a confusion. That confusion should be avoided.
