@@madhukiranattivilli2321 First of all the way you perceive that statement in the generic sense will raise lots of issues for limited (Too identified) unexposed (To the spiritual process) intellectual humans. The way he meant it was that as a consequence of being part of the yogic process he is now able to access further dimensions of memory that is mentioned in the yogic sciences just as he explained in the video. Also just because an expert does something doesn't mean you can (but you can understand where he is coming from.) That is why @Pratap D said he can't deny the words of Sadhguru.

Just wow. This conversation was so enlightening, especially from 1:16:49 with the question posed by Bala, "what determines how much life we capture?" This question parallels much of the information that Sadhguru speaks about in his new book, "Death", but this discussion really adds more meat to the bones to fully understand what it means to live a full-fledged life as Sadhguru so often says.
We gather more life by simply being open to life; to experiencing the full spectrum of life; to tasting all the flavors that are here. In order to do this we must set aside likes/dislikes and learn to respond consciously instead of react unconsciously. This in turn, expands the karmic bubble and allows us to grow larger and larger until the inevitable 'pop' of transformation.
Although our world is going through immense change at the moment, we are all profoundly blessed to be living at a time when such a powerful Master is embodied to not only teach but experientially light our way through our darkness.
What a beautiful and profound dialogue between a scientist and a mystic. Thank you so much for organizing this talk and I hope to see plenty more.

What i understand from all the talks of Sadhguru is this, he is always telling the people he is talking to is that they are doing up till now is good if it is adding the welfare of the world. But he has some tools that he wants to share the people he is talking to to make this world more wonderful for each and every being. Sadguru is always positive with his guest he in talk with, whether it is a scientist or normal audience like us. He only wants to the other person to understand that there is a way of living to our best and he has experienced it and want everyone to experience it so we can be our best version. I just respect him so much for always putting so much effort with everyone he is in conversation with, whether he has to face critisism and has to repeat everything again and again to make himself clear so that we all can just simply accept and thrive to do things which can help us not even him, but us to live a better life. I mean.. wow!

For me, it makes total sense. And the less we are identified with our physical bodies and psychological makeup the easier it is for us to experience, expand and reflect our truest nature .. Consciousness.

My recent thoughts on this matter, the difficulty that science (which I love) has with making measurements are; it seems to me that there are two ways of examining the matter/energy of the "universe". The fist way is from the outside, dissecting and taking matter/energy apart. This is the kind of thing we are used to and now use as a yard stick. The other is that the "universe! is conscious. how can I say that? Everything that exists, exists in the "universe". We exists and are of the same stuff and we are conscious, so the "universe" is (to a degree at least) conscious. So the other way of examining matter/energy is from the inside. We ARE matter and energy that can think and perceive and can thusly examine what it is like to be matter/energy from the inside...so subjective and objective examination of matter/energy. But you can not (at least not yet) examine or measure some subjective reality with an objective tool.

This speech is absolutely amazing. I love seeing the difficulty of the analytic mind (neurologist) grasping these concepts (represents all of us) and the simplification (always the best kind of teacher) of the yogi. The other scientist plays the buffer between the two worlds. In science, data can record subjective experiences as research data although they are more prevalent in the humanities as opposed to the physical sciences. I have been trying to under energy work for years and he just puts it together so simply. Ironically, now this has become a memory and a theory so it's part of my intellect now lol. I feel the point is to be an open book, to be boundless in one's identity and experiences. Yes, we may face cognitive dissonance initially but that just shows where the resistance is. Just go backand try again. I'm glad consciousness was explained in regards to animals because as I was listening to this, I understood that. They can tap into or access (my feeling) especially with more problem solving and creativity (play). I experience/observe it nonverbally with my dogs. Scientists would say I'm putting meaning on something not there but my gut says different. Anyway, I hope that this will be the beginning of my personal transformation by melding my own scientific/book background which allows me to critically think (a help to humanity) and understanding the internal significance of life (consciousness) while applying it by managing the mind better (soul). Blending of the physical and spiritual worlds. ;)

    • @Dharmicaction

Mind is not the soul. Consciousness is an attribute of the omnipresent soul or divine just like heat is an attribute of fire. Tat Tvam Asi - You (conscious and immanent soul) are (already) that (transcendent and omnipresent divine) regardless of whether there is self realization or not. Without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent soul, nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen.

Such debates are great indeed! But the reality is that such gurus & scientists have to come back again & again to explain/propound the same things all over again event after 10,000 years. As there will always be people who are trapped within their body-mind complex identities due to karmic impressions.
Such debates or inquiries or learning has been happening since the dawn of time, yet understanding of life or consciousness still needs Sadhgurus to break it down all over again from the beginning.
    .
    .
Today, most are fortunate or privileged to listen to such insights sitting at comfort of our homes in whatever levels of evolution or awareness we have. This in itself is a great blessing, thousands of years ago an average seeker would have spent most of his/her life just to get 10% of what Sadhguru has been sharing with the whole world without any prejudices at anyone or anywhere. 🙏
