The per capita income of India is 1.5lakh means how the family earning 8lakh is falls under EWS if a family has 4 members according to per capita income total earning will 6 lakh , so EWS has to reduce the income value 8lakhs to below 5 lakhs

The problem is with cut off mark. In most exams the cut off for EWS is lower than SC cutoff mark. So the people belonging to FC even if they got high or lower mark they will got job/College seat with EWS.But for other communities obc/sc/st only the highest rank among those people will only get seat/job.So it is social injustice.
EWS cut off is less but the age is same as per general category there is no change.

Set income limit for all categories of reservation including for SC ST OBC MBC. Then only others will get chance to avail reservation benefits. Otherwise Dictors MLA and rich people children are getting admissions using reservation. Now it is 75yrs after independence. Time to abolish all reservations and education and first employment should be based only on worth basis as in Western countries.

EWS is for economically weeker (60k per month) persons in OC only. If a persons in OBC earns same 60k per month, they will come under creamy layer and reservation won't applicable for them. That's why everyone is opposing EWS.

Basic constitution of our indian constitution says that reservation is to make backward and scheduled caste people to come forward in education , jobs and higher position in it (because they were segregated as shutras for 2000+ years by brahmins , so they are not allowed to educate on those days ,get jobs , attain high position etc... I think the total reservations should be as economical base . For example , if a person not coming under EWS and also other reservations, then he will be more suffered . As well as in OBC,SC,ST etc . There are more highly economically stabled peoples. So if full system become as per economic status ,. Then it will be useful only for those who needs that.

I very well know why reservations or quotas were introduced in India. May be my reply could help to understand your question. One of my friend cleared her tnpsc exam. She scored better percentage were she can select the vacancy from her quota or in general. In that case , she had chosen in general to make her quota available for others.
If ews implemented, obviously general seats will reduce and hence few portion of the quota people who choose use to general,have to take thier quota. Which in term affects some people.
I guess it's the reality....but if we really want to help the general community -lower income people. The min income should be lower ,may be it can be progressive !!!
