Good video, Michael. I had a McMurdo a few years back, and unless things have changed sizing wise, they run big and your advised to go down a size. I'm a pretty average medium, but a Small was easily a good enough fit. Cheers!
actually with layers they are about true to size.
@@sundeepkalla8716 I suppose that is true, if you wear it for what it is intended for (not dying in the real cold) and not style then you need the correct size

Low 20’s to high 30’s? It’s good for severe cold. You would use layerings if you were spending time out in -30.

Couldn’t find Mcmurdo iii any where except the II and the og mcmurdo

I have one and yes, you can either remove just the fur or the whole hood

The hood is way too shallow.
The hood is a joke. This coat is not what it's cracked up to be for really cold weather. Not well designed for truly cold temps. It's closer to a shell jacket than a legit parka. Do some research, there are better designed options.
So suggest some because this coat is always top 5 when I research. the only competitors are 2x the price
I’ve got the mcmurdo 1 and it’s great for very cold weather. Put off buying the 2nd or 3rd versions
@@itanamullik The McMurdo is well insulated, but the hem and waist are not adjustable, so unless you have a large posterior, you'll have to contend with a lot of wind coming into the coat. That's especially true for skinny guys; if I were to wear one of these, then below the sternum it would be like not wearing a coat at all.
I bought this and then my wife left me....avoid
