I have this jacket.
Super warm.
Currently it is between 4 and 8 degrees celsius and I wear it with a t-shirt underneath.
Nice generous pockets it could handle a medium drizzle just fine.
So people saying it cannot handle rain are lying.

They really nerfed the McMurdo. I have one from about 5 or 6 years ago and one from 2 years ago. The older one has an adjustable waist cord and hem cord, with added pockets. My newer one has none of these, and in taking out features, they still haven't added knit cuffs - a feature that should be present on a parka meant for the temps that the McMurdo is.
The lack of knit cuffs is almost a deal breaker. This jacket keeps my torso nice and warm but my wrists get bitten by the cold constantly.
Review actually means you've worn it for some time. This is just a commercial
FYI this is the McMurdo 2 PARKA not JACKET. There is another model called Mcmurdo jacket. Great presentation though

I feel like this jacket may be a little overkill for walking around the city in the winter.
why did they discontue the jacket? can see the parka for sale but the mcmurdo jacket nowhere

Why is mine a 600 fill not 550?
Which version is this. Version 2 & 3 have a built in face mask / cover in the hood. V,2 has pull tabs on lower pockets . V,3 has two way zip.
On the shoulders the down doesn't sit as it should. Otherwise a good parka
I notice it is water resistant, how much perception can it handle???
I have this jacket and I don’t have any pull cords to tighten the waste or hip area...
Also no pocket on arm and only the faux fur comes off(no zipper for hood)...

It is waterproof. I had water droplets drop on my jacket and three hours later the droplets were still sitting there.
@@Zanzikhan I think it depends on the version because I see some model in their store and they are only tagged as water repellant.
