Just got the Gotham 3 and it's a great jacket hands down had a nuptse and it was warm but 2 big differences is Gotham has a hood and waterproof exterior nuptse is thin cheap hood so for 20 buck's more no brainer buy a Gotham

Nice vid, but to be honest these jackets come up waaay too big, you need to order atleast a size down. I ordered one in large tried it on and it was halfway down my thighs absolutely unreal. Wouldn't recommend.
Good to know the fur is remove-able. Only suggestion I would’ve had is to show how it looms without it. Thank you for the review

I've had a McMurdo for 10 years now and looking to upgrade to the Gotham.
I think mine has a face shield attached in the hood ,awesome jacket, I wore mine in minus 20 with a alpaca sweater underneath and I was getting hot so it's a quality material as far as keeping wind from ripping right through

Andy Andy Yes it does my friend...I own my Gotham3 in color red and size large for over a year...I'm 5'11 with a athletic body type...so yeah sometimes I feel like a balloon lol but still it has been the best jacket I've ever owned regardless...having it large does give me the option for 3 layers<this I've tested in Alaska_trust me you will be super warm_this competes if not surpasses some of those $500+ jackets but if your body type and height are similar to mines...go with a Medium if want that much more snug fit...also remember the Mcmurdo is a parka so it's much longer/bigger/thicker on purpose 'cause its made for them arctic travels way up North.

Far-Flung Tin Can This color is rare now I tried before I bought mines in red over 1 year ago...it's sold out and if you do find this color...its priced higher or the size is 3XL which wouldn't fit me anyways lol The north face did made a new green one but it's not like this one...it's a brighter forest color...but you may want to jump on that 'cause the Gotham 3 is on sale for $180 right now on www.thenorthface.com/shop/mens-gotham-jacket-iii-nf0a33rg-c1

You'll be fine...i just got this in large and I'm 5'-9 and its just a tad too big for my liking, gonna exchange it for a Medium So if you're just under 6ft you should be good
Ok hi. It fits ok I like it but to he honest It kind of looks how it looks on the guy this in video. It looks a bit baggy on me. But I dont mind to be honest I'm still keeping and not exchanging for a medium. I like weist and sleeve length. Just a big big around chest and tummy area. Not a major problem to me.
