- Suryabhedi and Chandrabhedi Pranayamas are two different parts of Anulom Vilom Pranayama. Suryabhedi produces heat and strength in the body while Chandrabhedi cools the body down and relaxes our muscles.

For indigestion, or acid reflux etc. when there is too much heat in the stomach, then to cool it down you should practice chandrabhedi. If you want to increase digestive process then suryabhedi is good. Please remember not to practice chandrabhedi on daily basis.

Is not there any particular timing as morning or evening to practise these prsnayams i. e suryabhedi and chandrabhedi
Both of these pranayamas should ONLY be done on need basis. Do not do them regularly.
Thank you for the clear video. How about chandrabhyas (inhale left, exhale left, repeat) and suryabhyas pranayam (inhale right, exhale right, repeat)? When should we do them?!
Please only do these pranayamas on need basis. Do not make a daily routine of it.

I have High BP so I do the following set of Pranayama.
1) Kapalpathi 15 to 20 strokes 3 Rounds
2) Alternative Nostril 6 to 7 minutes
3) Bee Breathing 4 times
4) Savasana 5 to 6 minites
Now I saw this video
I always feel hot and have High BP so I decided to do Chandrabhedi Pranayama.

Thank you for watching the video. It is very important for high BP patients to either not do Kapalbati or do it precausiously. Kapalbati might be the reason of your increased body temperature. You might find this video helpful. czcams.com/video/bgi5fHGdr0c/video.html
Also, to be healthy we need to make sure that our parasympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are balanced. Sympathetic increases our bp and parasympathetic calms us down. Doing only Chandrabhedi regularly will reduce your body heat but we also do not want to literally reduce the function of sympathetic either. So doing it once in a while will be OK.

Both pranayamas are for totally different reasons. You can't really do them together.

in early vedio one teacher told us to inhale and exale from the same nostril when we performing suryabethi pranayama . which is correct madam.
Suryabhedi can also be practiced by inhaling and exhaling through the right nostril only. However, when you breathe only through the right nostril, this might shut off ida nadi and functions of the left nostril. By exhaling through the left nostril you release energy and any impurities that remain in ida.

Typically you should not practice chandrabhedi pranayama on regular basis. It is only if needed. Similarly suryabhedi should not be done regularly during summer times.

Sometimes my left nostril is closed but sometimes right closed sometimes both open what is the reason
From my limited understanding, the energies of the body shift back and forth approximately every 2 hours. Sometimes stronger on left, sometimes stronger on right. Hope this helps.
