The Karens would evaporate long before reaching the destination. Karens lives are threatened by simply standing in line for 3 minutes that they scream at the first minimum wage worker for their managers. You need like 50,000 Karens to even hope that 50 of them would arrive.

@@mikeoath9541 Your very much wrong on this. He made it so third party civilian oversight councils have to be made up of individuals approved by the local sheriffs office. And remember that sheriffs are elected law enforcement officials, so the logic is that its putting the power of choosing individuals reviewing police actions in the hands of someone elected by the people.
I still think this is wrong and rife with problems that will lead to abuse, but the reason he pushed that law in the first place is because third party civilian oversight councils are more or less run by politically driven individuals who want to punish the cops regardless of if they were correct in their actions or not. They do not act with the best interest of the people or seek out proper justice against abusive police officers. Their reviews in other states/cities (New York, Chicago, LA, San fran, ect.) are also one of the reasons police are so defanged in those areas and incapable of maintaining law and order.
I think these councils should be run similar to juries, taking the selection bias out of the equation. But that has its own drawbacks, and being frank you are never getting a perfect answer to this issue unfortunately.

Best analogy I have is being a child unable to feed themselves, but befriending a man who provides three meals a day for free. This man keeps you safe and provides you the ability to sustain and survive. However, one day, he gives you green beans, of which you think tastes bad, and instead of simply telling him you dislike green beans, you grab a weapon and attack him.
America has provided these people liberty and this is how they repay her. It's absolute idiocy that cannot go without consequence; the fact they haven't received even a small fine is pure, unadulterated grace, and they don't even know it.

      @huldu Před 15 dny +3

The difference is growing up in a 3d world country or during war times hardens you as a person. The difficulty is just everyday life but in the west they don't have these problems, hence they feel the need to *create* problems to solve. They have the attention span of a toddler. I wouldn't want to move to America because it wouldn't solve anything, as an outsider it's like watching their society slowly crumble apart. There is no way the west will be able to sustain itself at this rate, sure nothing "bad"(then again look at Ukraine or the current situation in Israel) might happen during our lifetime but trust me history repeats itself over and over again. Not sure what to blame, everyone has a hand in the problem, overconsumption, extreme capitalism, overpopulation and so on and then of course we have the climate crisis which is probably something that will cause severe problems down the road.

If I worked the same job I have in my country in the US, I would have a way better life. And even working as something different that pays less, I would still have a better life.
I do have a good life in Brazil, I can pay my bills and mantain myself. But if I lived in the US, I would have money to do stuff that I like to do, but can't do here in Brazil.

You can't compare living in America to for example someone living in a mud hut in Somalia. I know it's an extreme example but the person who lives in that mud hut might be very content with their life - this is the big difference. Not everything in life boils down to money or owning things. It's all about the community you live in.
Drugs are a huge problem all over the world and they do destroy lives. I would like to think and you may agree that happiness does not come from being rich.
I think our society is slowly falling apart and it's not going to be pleasant for anyone, anywhere in the world. It's a slow and painful process. All the conflicts and problems that we've had recently will start add up. Eventually somewhere in the world someone will step up with some radical solution to various problems and they will get the people behind them. I wouldn't be surprised if this were to begin in America first.

The first few cars all stop together as a plan so the protestors can block the road safely without risking getting run over, unless someone doesnt realize they are stopped and hits them all from behind. And since those cars won't move even if the protestors allow an opening that a normal person would slowly push their way through, the people behind would have to push through cars and vehicles to escape, not just push past protestors. Basically, they are illegally detaining everyone in that traffic who isn't able to escape/get to an offramp unimpeded.

I usually enjoy Azmon's content - but *this reaction was BRAINDEAD.* At this point - if you're mocking the legitimacy of these protests - you're actively running cover and *should be considered complicit in aiding the continuation of the genocide!*
*EVERYONE* in the world (beit every nation and respected International Rights Organisation) called for a ceasefire to the genocide long ago. The US is single-handedly responsible for enabling Israel to Holocaust Palestine + for the destruction of all of Israel's neighbours via funding + supporting terrorists.
*When the entire world crying out for peace is proven to be useless - what option is left* for people with a conscience - who refuse to do nothing while millions of arabs are continuously genocided?
*Is Asmon going to be laughing too, when they genocide Iran?*

@@FrankLucas-pw5hs tbh I don’t care at all about them. Different religious people hating every other religion/ethnicity within the same religion. That’s extremely sad for the local population but they’ve been educated to hate each other for centuries. Just like it used to be for us not so long ago… if they can’t behave themself we can only help the one with the most interest to us, aka Israel with a bigger economy relations than their neighbors.
To me Israel, gaza, Palestine, Iran and every other country in the area are just made of the same "disgusting" people. All I now is that my CPU was probably created in Israel and it’s the only thing differentiating it from the other countries.

stopping traffic on a bridge is the dumbest thing possible, it endangers others as its has no escape for those stuck in the middle, ambulances cant cross etc. that being said, as an outsider this just looks like every protest that ever happens in the US. this is in no way worse or more crazy compared to 2, 5, 8 or 10 years ago.
