Yair has some of the best body awareness I’ve ever seen. No matter how much he spins, or flips he always lands back into a good position on his feet.
That's funny hearing some mentioning Body awareness as it's a very real thing and extremely important when it comes to fighting that many don't understand and some fighters even seem to lack, it's very interesting.
Yeah you nailed it
Like a Pantera, cat movement, also almost impossible to knock out, always on the move, slik fast and unpredictable.
that's one of the most important things the one martial art everyone likes to clown will instill in you (talking about taekwondo): spatial and body awareness as you put it
That's TKD balance for you plus his kickboxing/muay thai
This guy is seriously fun to watch! MMA striking just gets better and better every year!
Shame he’s such a disrespectful ahole though. Kinda makes it hard for me to cheer him on to be honest. That said, don’t know why ppl are sleeping on him. He has some serious skills and can definitely beat Max. Yes, Max’s last fight was amazing but Yair is not Kattar.
@@hoptoit5910 well Rodriguez is all over the place with his striking meaning fists, feet, knees, elbows, headbutts and shoulder strikes! Hell I would not be surprised if he figures out how to attack someone with his ass cheeks LOL he's a bad boy but Max is pinpoint and mean and seriously tough! Rodriguez is a technician but I don't know if he has the physical Constitution that Max Holloway has! I can see Max getting through his bulshit to deliver a knockout!

His fight with the Korean Zombie is so damn underrated.
Yeah. The amount of punishment Korean Zombie could take was insane. And that reverse elbow KO was something I've never seen done in MMA before. How the hell did Yair even land that accurately and with enough power when he was hunched over facing the ground? Mofo has the Byakugan IRL LOL. That timing was insane.
Zombie was winning that fight on points though.. won 3 rounds into the 5th round.

Max vs Yair is about to be one hell of a fight. No takedowns just 5 rounds of the most technical striking between two of the best stirkers in the 145lbs division. July is stacked for fights. Can't wait!!!!!
its not going to be much of a war, Max is way out of his league so it will probably be a one sided beatdown. He got outclassed by Korean Zombie, Yair is not that good of a striker but just flashy which draws attention.

The word levels comes to mind when I think about Yair fighting Max, I'm scared for him if the best boxer in the UFC shows up.
Leg kicks can help him alot. Something kattar doesn't throw so he didn't have the respect from Max. Volk stops all that pressure from Max cause he mixes it up with leg kicks and punches. I still think Max wins but it will be competitive for the first 3 rounds
@Erased Loser Then he turned around and put up a legendary beat down on another white boy with some of the best hands in the game. MMA Math doesnt work. Matchups are key.
@Erased Loser lol volkanovski is gonna be hard to beat. that midgets a tank with respectable power and cardio for days. volkanovski aint no slouch and holloway was robbed on the second fight.

A balanced game with Yaer finally bringing a level of striking that I've been wondering if would ever get to the UFC... most of the time fighters couldn't pull those moves off because they either had no sense of timing, or were good at the those strikes but deficient in the other aspects of the game like defending the takedown or grappling.

What you see here being utilized is TKD. Escort yourself out.
Tkd dose work
@@trials6502 that's kinda funny ...Hapkido is a branch off of Hwarangdo a form of Korean Martial arts. Depends on the school, but in general...
-
-Great use of the 'level of force continuum' - students should be able to evaluate and apply techniques from the lowest level (awareness and avoidance) to simple breakaways, to control of a person, to hard strikes to weapons to lethal force. Generally they learn a lot about when to apply what level of force (rule of thumb - the least amount needed). This is very valuable in a society that can be 'sue-happy' and where sometimes victim can be arrested for defending themselves with too much force.
-Good general all-around skills - standup striking/kicking, locks, throws, breakfalls, basic weapons, etc
-Needs a bit of cross training to be better take care of ground survival, mainly in area of grappling (BJJ or Wrestling cross training recommended)
- Some schools need more sparring (under varying rule sets and targets) to ensure everything works
