I was arguing with someone telling me being tall doesn't help, I am short and I can tell you being able to lift a 90 degree knee at face level is an asset, as I have to maegeri at an angle for not such a good impact. Leave alone long arms that keep you at a distance. When you'r short better get a gun, because the only options you have are kamikaze, as past the guard the guy can lean on you, not everybody can pull an effective peekaboo like Tyson, I can't... ;))
Once I saw Jiri walking into the fight with Reyes looking like jacked Majin Buu, I knew it was over.
When I heard Reyes walk out to Montell Jordan I knew it was a wrap.

That Nemkov fight was crazy. He's the current Bellator LHW champ for good reason, he'd do well in the UFC.
Nemkov is very good he just needs to improve his cardio in his last fight against Davies he won but was a little fatigued

The way he plowed through King Mo in second fight was insane, confidence, power in both arm and both legs,good chin,crazy angles,unpredictably. Awesome, one to watch for sure!
I've been following Jiri's career for many years & I've always known he would become the superstar he is today. Watching him defeat Glover last night was spectacular. Oh man what a feeling I'll take to my grave. I'll never see another fight like that in my lifetime that's for sure. I hated seeing Glover lose but Jiri is my all time favorite fighter so sorry Glover... Once I heard you agreed to fight Jiri i knew your time as champion was soon to end.
Jiri needs to post some core exercises. It doesn't matter if he's fully mounted, when he wants to get up, he springs to his feet. Ridiculous power

People said before his fight with Reyes that Reyes has better cardio, you can see at Nemkov fight thats not the case 😅 he just didnt have to use it yet.
His consideration when his opponents get knocked down and he does not keep beating them it's so much honorable

I can’t wait to see how Jiri develops in the UFC. Is he gonna become more tactical like Gaethje, or is he gonna keep being a wild-man? I feel like the Jan fight is gonna decide that.
He definitely needs to continue working on his defense. He admitted that he got knocked out by one of Reyes punches, but was able to recover. But if he keeps getting hit like that, there’ll be a time where he won’t be able to recover. I really want to see him win the title.

Jan is just so calm and patient. I bet Jiri will give it to him in the first round or two, but after that I just see JAn walking him down and picking his shots
@@liquidsword601 Yah your not getting 2 chances vs Jan and he won't rush in like Reyes has too. But tbh his progression between ozedemir and the Reyes fight was very good. Stylistically it favors the champ on paper how ever Jan in the past has had a weakness for explosive starters. Jiri isn't just going to start explosive its going to be that way the entire time. So there def questions, Can't overlook Glover either. Thats an insane fight but Glover prolly can't handle his athleticism.
Jiri is finding order in the chaos he is creating. And thats his fighting style 😂 improve defensive skills and he is gonna be beast...

When he defeated him in retaliation and won the title of Champion in Rizin, he told him after the battle, that he had been his teacher for the last 5 years. All this despite the fact that he lost after a crazy match with the Nemkov. Perfect mindset. So now you now that was importen moment in Jiři career.
2 fights in a day and that the first fight was when Nemkov quit due to exhaustion... it makes Jiri losing The most epic loss I have ever seen hands down. It should not be counted a a loss lol (jk)

Jiri IS the King at 205 on planet earth. Like a true samurai with honor, he released his UFC Championship Belt due to a wretched shoulder injury, so the division can still move forward & not sit stationary while he's healing his shoulder. I think something that is gonna prove his greatness is how he can use his ground game. He probably is a good grappler but he has such crazy power for how slim built he is. I truly think if he becomes more tactical & develops leg kicks like Justin or some of the WW he could be a really problem for Jan. As well him taking his time before he got to the UFC to continue to improve is what he should be doing before fighting Jan.
1:11 Jiri spamming the Feint button. The fight with Vadim Nemkov & Glover Teixeira shows that Jiri have an underrated ground game, able to get up, reversal & have a threat of submission.
The fight with Brandon Halsey is the funniest, Brandon falling off the ring & Jiri offering his neck for a sub attempt.
Fight with Nemkov was insane
Most fighters when they get KO’d like that can’t maintain that crazy aggressive style afterwards. They instinctively become more cautious and their brain tries to protect itself more. Respect to Jiri for keeping the same style afterwards.
That Vadim Nemkov win has aged incredibly well.
I mean he literally passed out from exhaustion. Probably Jiris most technical fight he’s had.
I would love to see him fighting Tony Ferguson in a street fight videogame.

This man has the ability to be the next world champion, his fights before the King Mo ko he was stuffing his range, walking into his opponents distance throwing wild shots and taken steam off his punches, he rushed straight into King Mos range without throwing or fienting and got KOd, the next fight you show him landing a clean 1,2, 3 to get the KO and he's at the full length of his range, then the fight after that he's using his hands to frame and maintain distance, that ability to see the mistake you made and then not only work on it in the gym but to fix it immediately is exactly what makes a great champion
