The example of what an MMA champion should be. Always exciting fights, respects the sport and his opponents, and an outstanding member of his community. Shame the UFC didnt promote guys like Stipe and DJ. Actual role models.
Omg stfu , if the ufc can promote who they want and make another mcgregor , they could’ve done that a LONG time ago , they could do that now , the reason , the reason that stipe and dj dont get more recognition is cause they don’t promote them selfs like Conor does .
A true champion of the sport wouldn't wait 2½ years before attending a rematch for the heavyweight title and slow down the division just to refuse to fight the back-up fighter.
@@alexhazenbiller2275 Dana didn't offer him the fight. Straight from Dana, "Complete disrespect to ask him to foght for an intern title." Stipe didn't get the offer. Are you dense?
@@civilwarwasaninsidejob7405 Oh, he definitely did. And it'd never have to be for the interim title, if he didn't pull out against Pavlovich after Jones' injury. What's the point of having a backup, when no would fight him anyway..?! That's what Jones said too. He 'isn't interested' in smaller names... In any way, what's so bad about fighting for an interim title?! Even as the heavyweight goat.
This is complete bullshit. He could've come back for a rematch at any time, but it somehow it took him over two years to do so...
@@alexhazenbiller2275 who cares. You seem to live a pretty miserable life. Stipe will never know you exist. Yet you spend hours on end thinking about him.
His mid-fight adjustment in his second Cormier fight is one of the best I've seen.
“Midfight” lol it was near the end of the fourth. It took that long to make the adjustments to target the body? Even knowing it was a weakness from previous bouts?
@@WarBrahwho else did it to dc when its so friking obvious?
@@matijaslat2100 Anderson Silva and Gustafson
@WarBrah which one of them beat DC?
He was 4 rounds in and landed everything he could to Cormier's head. Really, it was the most minor change.
Thank you for respecting the legacy of the greatest Heavyweight in UFC history. You gave that glorious man the spotlight the UFC would never bother with
Well said.
O.H. !!!!!!!!!!!
of all time, not ufc history
@@kwalterrasquinha413That's bullshit, Fedor had a much better career shut up
@@kwalterrasquinha413That's Fedor
😊😊😅😅
What's even more impressive is that two of his 4 losses are directly due to eye pokes.
Struve and dc
Right Daniel cornier. Should have been disqulified
Ngannou is the only man on earth to finish stipe without cheating
Too bad ngannou ducked the well deserved trilogy
@@samgibson684 looked like nagannou also ducked John jones
Stipe is my favorite UFC fighter no doubt. I don't give a shit if the company promotes him or not
That's an example of what a man should be, as far as we know. Strong, responsible, capable. Not afraid to be quiet. With a sense of humor
I agree. He’s marketable to guys like us who appreciate “real” men, not just loudmouth attention whores. Unfortunately we are in the minority so I understand why he wasn’t pushed hard
I remember how he bravely faced the knockout nightmare of Ngannou when everyone thought he was going to possibly lose his life. I was scared for him...his health and quality of life. But Stipe wasn't. He took the fight, trained for it, walked the walk-out, and fought the most heavily hyped MMA knockout monster and won.
The adjustment Francis did in the second fight was great 👍🏿
@@SmittyD33 Stipe has been in many more wars than Ngannou. He's still the best MMM heavyweight ever.
@@SmittyD33what wildly swinging like he usually does and managing to clip Stipe? Nice.
@@MorAodhan It was a perfectly placed counter lol. Ngannou's performance against Fury is the biggest proof he's evolved his boxing.
Ngannou ducked the trilogy and stipe deserved it that's a fact
Uncle Fester privilege
I really think the UFC with their Vegas flash and bravado, made a REALLY stupid mistake not understanding the opportunity to promote him. They seem not to understand how to promote someone who isn't a loud, bad boy type. He would have been a tremendous ambassador for the UFC brand but they instead chose to ignore him. No surprise most of their hyped champions flame out, or end up in jail, they don't know a good thing when they see it.
They sold out, it's literally part of the WWE now😂
look how they treated dj it’s pathetic
@@haroonahamed5388this. It’s criminal. The guy is arguably THE goat
This guy can't even speak English
dj is so good i cant belive they treaded him for Ben????
Stipe is easily my favorite all time fighter. Heart, toughness, grit, skill, precision, cardio, relentlessness, fight iq, being a real normal dude, etc. He's a hard fighter not to like. I like Jones, but I hope Stipe gets his belt back.
He’s pretty dislikable acts like he deserves a title shot even tho he got knocked the fuck out by Francis in their second fight and dc in their first fight acts likes he’s too high and mighty to talk trash don’t get me started on that face he always does acting like he’s too good for everybody and everything.
Fuck stipe.
Definitely one of my top 5.

"STIPE EXACTS HIS REVENGE" Will forever be one of the greatest calls ever in the UFC
Agreed but nothing on jon aniks "but that is not the cloth from which he was cut"
"It takes a lot of energy to be a Rock Star" Goldie on Rhonda
"Conor could be trying to tire out Khabib" - Dom
Jokes aside the was one of MMA's finest moments. You love to see it
I think "Kamaru Usman certainly didn't sit on his lead against Leon Edwards" as Izzy trips against Alex is a good one too. It almost felt like Izzy's destiny was to lose that night.
So glad I was able to watch stipes entire championship run. He’s the heavyweight goat and a great role model. He’s a legend and deserves his flowers
The guy i want to be like
Stipe Miocic is The Greatest of all times UFC MMA Heavy Wheight Champions and a honored comunity member as a Fireman.
His first defeat against Cormier was debt DC's shamefull "eye-pokes" he delivered vicious and dirtfully with none referee punishing. It was shamefull for DC capitalizing with this kihd of creatina and post fight posing as a good guy.
Stipe Miocici, at the second fight, showed him how to win honest and truthfully.
His legacy is admirable!
D1 wrestling + golden gloves champ. What a complete fighter Stipe was, until his age kicked in
His skill-set made him championship quality for Heavyweight, but he wasn't a complete fighter lets be honest. He was well-rounded in that he had elite striking and wrestling, but there were key elements missing to his game in both areas.
Most notably on the feet; kicking, even the shorter and fatter DC was a better kicker than Stipe was, his clinch game was pretty average as well. On the ground, it was submissions as Stipe doesn't have a single submission win in his pro career.
If Stipe was versed in submissions, he could have gotten Francis out of there and potentially saved himself taking unnecessary damage even from a gassed Francis (who is still dangerous), which contributed to the KO loss to DC in his next fight.
And yes age did eventually catch up to him.
To be a greatest ever in Hw D. And at the same time that was his side job.. Its just huge huge respeckt. 💪🏻🇭🇷
The greatest fighter, Croat, the greatest tennis player, Djokovic, Croat, the greatest mind, Tesla, also Croat.
That Werdum knockout was even more impressive considering the entire Brazilian home crowd was against him.
People have just forgotten how technical Stipe was as a fighter.
Stipe is the man, he could have easily cut down to 205 and fought men smaller than himself like some people but he's not a coward.
Reigned over the most dangerous division with 50+ pounds of variation (most divisions only deal with 20lbs or less) he has nothing left to prove after breaking the most title defenses at HW.
It’s an interesting balance for heavyweights, because at that size you’re giving up speed with those additional pounds. When both guys have fight ending power already, the speed can become the deciding factor. That’s what he was going for vs DC especially. The disadvantage showed the most in his second ngannou fight when he couldn’t get the wresting going
Exactly. Stipe is real man not woman like Light Heavyweight Jones 6’4 | 238 lbs out of combat | 84 reach or Pereira
No, Stipe could not fight at LHW. Don't be silly.
he couldn’t fight at light heavyweight lol dudes huge
@@FightXScience-wh6kx He absolutely could, anyone with eyes can see he often weighs in at 235ish.
Fighters cut 20-30 pounds routinely, he'd barely have to change his camp.
Stipe is what every man should strive to be, what every father should hope to raise their sons to be.
Stipe Miocic: the body positivity movement's worst nightmare
My favourite fighter along with GSP
Stipe Mayosick is one of the fighters of all time
Roy Nelson is crazy for taking that beating
Awesome video and I've never thought Stipe had good power but you pointed out how he doesn't really load up on those short fast hooks and uppercuts and still can one punch KO people.. Impressive and so far the GOAT of UFC HW.
How did Roy Nelson take those punches!? Unreal.
For such a small country we sure do have a LOT of elite athletes.
Janica and Ivica Kostelić in skiing, Mate Parlov in boxing, Luka Modrić, Darijo Srna, Ivan Rakitić, Zvono Boban and others in football, Ivano Balić in handball, Toni Kukoč and Dražen Petrović in basketball, Goran Ivanišević in tennis, Blanka Vlašić and Sandra Perković in athletics, the Sinković brothers in rowing, Dubravko Šimenc in vaterpolo and of course Cro Cop, Roberto Soldić and Miočić in MMA.
The list goes on but for me Miočić sits atop the very peak. Not Cro Cop levels of insanity but not far behind. Great dude, great champion and stand out linguist. Kidding aside, great video as always!
Went to Croatia last year and met some great people! and very impressive indeed for a country with such a small population!
Yeah, he is American.
stand out linguist 😭😭😭
If you aren't so familiar with the cultural peculiarities associated with American accents, then let me tell you that Stipe's rust-belt accent makes him so much more down-to-earth and funny.
Don't forget former NBA player Dino Radja! He was a hooper!
Greatest HW champ! But dam, when you review his first fight with Francis Ngannou, you’ll notice that Francis has an iron chin. So it’s no surprise he ate Tyson Fury’s illegal elbow and kept moving forward.
It looked like he didn't even recognize it as illegal 😂
Francis may have the best chin in MMA history period. Dude has never been rattled by anything let alone dropped by anything.
@@madgavin7568it also hasn't been tested as thorough as the chins of hw's like roy nelson or mark hunt though
@@lukaskuipers7791 Nelson and Hunt got dropped and KO'd at various points of their careers. Ngannou never even got stunned let alone dropped at any point in his career.
Ngannou has the strongest chin ever.
@@madgavin7568 what I'm saying is hunt and nelsons chins have absorbed so much more punishment before they ever got cracked than ngannou has up until this point. It's hard to tell how strong your chin is if you knock everyone out on the 1st round
Stipe won inside the octagon and in life
Stipe digging to the body and taking the strap after getting his ass whooped for the entire fight was insane.
BODY SHOTS
When watching stipe fight i almost feel like hes the boxer robot from real steel movie, always able to adapt on the move, doesnt really pressure but never backs down. Stipe will always be one of my all time favorites
I didn't realize just how much I've missed this man.
24:15 is why I will always love Stipe ♥
I've only recently started watching MMA..My favorite fighter quickly became Stipe because l am a retired firefighter/paramedic. Gotta back my brother!
I believe Stipe is the man to beat Jones and we will see that when he comes back
He would, jones boxing is ass tier i could beat him in a boxing match
Too old…. Got brutal knocked out last fights.
I love stipe but….no.not jones
@@YannickGlexactly. People are deluded. Stipe cant even form a sentence anymore

One of my heavyweight faves 🙏🏾🔥
Stipe Miocic is the ultimate Soldier! What a warrior he's been.
man, he wasnt the greatest in almost any aspect of the game, but he was really good, or at least good enough in every aspect.
Just saw recently, he added another tattoo with croatian motives.
Stipe, my man.
Dalmatian power.
Great videos Liam. Great fight editing and bare bones verbal narrative. Keep going.
I like Stipe. Love to watch him. Just wish he was more active. He's just sitting back, hoping for that Jones fight. I get it, but it's a bummer.
Hell ya dude
This showcase was very well made. Commendations to you Liam.
Amazing work. Easily the most underrated fighter of all time. Arguably the GOAT, not just at heavyweight
The goat tho?
Welcome to combat sports newcomer
HW goat means you're the actual goat, if you think about it... So yes, Khabib, Usman, GSP all get stomped by Stipe on the same day.@@dack4116
So this is that stiopc guy Joey Diaz was talking about🤣 people never bothered to to ask the man how you properly pronounce his second name
Stipe, considering his success is definitely the 🐐 of at least the heavyweight category, hands down!Underdog champ+he defended his belt for 3-4 time.No one EVER has done that!!And probably no one will ever manage to do that after Stipe.I'm so proud that we share the same/ Croatian origin 🇭🇷 🇺🇸 RESPECT FOR THE 🐐
I agree with you Liam, brilliant content.
Stipe in his prime is the only man to completely dominate Ngannou. That was so impressive. Ngannou effortlessly flatlined everyone, until Stipe. Stipe unfortunately is older now and didn’t look nearly as good as in the second fight with Ngannou bough, he’s older now and I think he’s kind of starting to check out. I hope we can see him in his prime again though.
very nice doc made about a very amazing fighter. thanks
Amazing video!
Amazing champion!

Outstanding video
I bet Roy Nelson was feeling that fight for months afterwards.
Hands down my favorite all time fighter if someday the gods decide to shine down on me my daughter and me will meet him…
The best heavy of all time!!!
next to dj he is also one of the most underrated champions imo
I have so much respect for him.. a genuine legend and good guy of the sport also hes the goat at least of his generation Stipe is the man
The goat. I absolutely love this guy as a fighter and hope to the universe he is who he seems like he is. A good man...
Stipe Miocic has amazing boxing. What does JBJ have. Decent boxing mixed with amazing elbows. We just need Stipe to get some elbows in with them short arms 😂
Great man One of the greatest to step in the octagon Sidenote Roy Nelson a tough sob
Your videos are amazing! Please make a video about edson barboza kicks.
Stipe is My Favorite MMA Champion Ever Thank You For Entertaining Me Over The Years God Bless You And Your Family ✌️
The way he speaks changed so much over his UFC tenure.
This is why I believe he’s a massive threat to Jon, unless bones 🦴 finds away how keep him at kicking range and probably stomp the ligaments out of his knee joints and providing he can get it to the ground but what happens if he can’t take stipe down? Jon’s boxing is the weakest part of his enormous skill set if stipe can force Jon to box with him miocic wins hands down, similar although a lot different at the same time to adesanya Strickland
This vid had to be made. Cheers bro
I will always respect Stipe for kicking Ngannou’s ass in their first fight.
Yesss more please
A true legend of the sport.
🇭🇷 loves you Stipe. Thx for evrything you been done for our beatifull and proud country!!! All the best my man...
The goat of hw, and also one of the overall goats.
His last name being mispronounced 3 different ways in his first fight was pretty funny.
Just listening to Stipe's early interviews, he is exactly the type of man that Jon Jones used to pretend he was.
Man the 1st 3mins of this video is what I've been saying and laying out for people as my case for Stipe's 🐐 status! I mean damn brother!!!
Bravo Stippe!Üdv.Magyarországról testvér!👍🏼🥇🇭🇺
King , good honest man who is soo normal and unbelievable dengerous. Ajmoooo Stipee , riješi Jonsa. Lijep pozdrav
That match v Francis was awsome. I remember just being on the edge of my seat. It was like a man v a grizzly bear and Stipe tamed him. Francis has a friggin chin, guy took some big shots that likely would take out the average HW.
Good stuff mister. Yeah, Stipe is something else. Really like that he doesn't do the trash-talk and ego-BS.
the most underrated fighter of all time , stipe is the goat no debate my all time favorite fighter
I sure hope Stipe fights again
The greatest ever 🐐🙌🏻👑
Don’t care what happens when he hits the mat next, derailing the Ngannou Express is always how I’ll remember him
That rear hand of his is as good as it gets. Efficient, quick, and powerful
The greatest fighter and man!
28:39 By Cormier's hand fighting do you mean repeated deliberate pokes to Stipe's eyes? Poked in the eye so badly he needed multiple retinal surgeries...some "hand fighting".
DC is a proven cheater, people have short memories.
Everyone ignores it because he's nice out of the ring, but this is a fact.
@@basil8210Exactly that, he's the cute cuddly funny fat guy but he was dirty af in the ring.
Stipe might be getting old now but his record and resume still is and always will be among the best ever.
Heavyweight goat and EASILY one of my all time favourite fighters.
Stipe adapts very well in fights. Would love to see him vs Aspinall.
My buddy trained with him, and we went and saw a lot of his pro fights downtown before he was in the ufc and i remember one of the announcers early on saying mark my words you are looking at a future ufc heavyweight champion... And boy was he right
Stipe was a great champion and he never spoke bad of anyone. Very disciplined fighter. I love stipe
Please do a video next on Dominick Cruz

My-oh-sick
Great boxing, great grappling, great wrestling, great speed and accuracy.. everybody allways lose his mind thinking about chain ko artist or wrestling abusers, but the goats are allways complete and versatile fighters.
But thats a bit strange that you didnt talked about the double thumb eye poke that leaded struve to the finish..
This heart and chin can not be replicated.
His ability to take big shots and recover is pretty amazing
Stipe❤
I hoping for his comeback this coming year, i miss this man thats my GOAT
when stipe said "i dont care about winning im going to be a dad. HELL YEA!!!!!" that was awesome
One and onle #1champ Stipe Miocic absolut the BEST
GREATEST Heavy in history!
Miocic's 2nd fight with Francis was a miscalcuation, I remember he came in way too lean/light for the fight thinking he'd win against with speed but Francis had just improved so much with his Takedown defense and well his nucelar bombs on both hands proved that it was too much... but man what a run he had
Ever going to do one on GSP's career?
Damn I remember his Debut and I remember thinking he was a serious Problem for the HW division lol I totally forgot about watching this fight Live (on TV lol not In Person) back in the day, thats wild. I forgot what he did to Mark Hunt, too. Damn man, I miss Stipe being super active he was a beast. Idk if he has it left to handle Aspinal, cuz he moves like Stipe in his prime, and has that in common with him too, the speed and Power/Precision.
How hell Roy eat all them shots
Roy Nelson in that fight was the best chin I’ve ever seen
The Fedor Emilianenko of UFC!
