Sean O'Malley is a good example of "dont judge a book by its cover" dude looks like some skinny goofy looking stoner with pink hair but is an absolute sniper in the cage , his punching technique is almost flawless he puts perfect torque in his punches and has that snap at the end , that jab feint cross combo he put Wineland away with was beautiful
It was an uppercut feint bro 😂
@@Andrewtatesbutthe's so tricky that even bro didnt see the combo 🤯
@@chrisbustanut7022 lol 😂
Beautifully written and explained
Ha ha ha so funny. Struggled to take out a second tier fighter and cried about his leg when he was getting owned. Hyped up fighter about to be exposed.
Sometimes people diminish the skills of fighters because they talk trash a lot; like we forget how good they are. O'Malley is a legit all around fighter.
Oh they do it all the time. Trash talking is a double edged sword because people will always pray for your failure. Even Israel to this day people want to diminish because he isn't as humble as they want him to be.
O’Malley isn’t that good of a fighter
Idk about "All around fighter" his ground game is dog shit. He's an amazing kickboxer though. And I'm a HUUUUGE Omalley fan. But lets be real. If Yan was able to take sean down so easily, sterling is gonna have his back in the first round. Lets hope his ground game improved as much as Alex Periera's did. I was actually impressed with how well he defended Jan last night compared to his first fight with izzy. That being said, sterling still gets the back of even the best grapplers in bantamweight. Maybe he can land a nice kick or two and lay him out.
@@exotichuskykennels1356I disagree I think he's a great fighter. with that being said I got aljo by r1 RNC
He gotta clean up his ground game, but he's got serious standup. I loved the Yan fight, back and forth action, with heart. (Fence grabs bothered me about Sean's wrestling)
Man, seeing early Sean really drives home how damn good of a coach Tim Welch is my god
Timbo is very underrated as a coach and mentor to Sean , he doesn't get enough credit for Seans growth as a fighter imo
agreed@@drunkenmmamaster419
Thank u for making this video. I know a lot of people underestimate O'Malley but I feel like his striking skills, fight I.Q., movement, feints, ability to switch stances, break timing, strike diversity, is some of the best there is. He proved his striking output endurance in that record setting output against Green haired Kris Mutino. He can strike around high guards. He understands how to put velocity/power on his shots and he has a great approach to how he abstractly flows with how a fight unfolds. He's shown he can make really good reads in the moment. (Everyone compares O'Malley to Conor but O'Malley has never tried to be this big hype man on the mic. He just dork's around, embraces his inner nerd in his off time. Making funny video's, etc. And he just happens to be able to kick ass & put on high level exciting MMA fights.) It's impressive O'Malley went toe to toe with Petr Yan in a impressive war from both guy's. Respect is due to both dude's. Im always excited to watch either dude fight. There is so many great bantamweight fights to make. I can't wait to watch and enjoy the battle's of insane talent that this division has. It's going to be awesome.

@@MartyFakeNewsman21😂
@@MartyFakeNewsman21 sorry it was long winded. I was just stating that O'malley's striking & fight IQ is pretty underrated.
Man, the guy is a bantamweight and knocking a 120 pound guy aint hard if you just touch them accurately.
People don't respect that before all his controversies Petr Yan was considered a top tier striker in the ufc and sean o malley made him wrestle.
Everyone gets diabetes after they have fought against Sean

Sorry, I can be a little slow sometimes.
18:20 that uppercut feint to straight/hook O’Malley throws is absolutely insane, especially with how fast he throws it. you have to play it in slow motion to actually even see it, he’s such a crazy technician on the feet
Well said totally agree. I love how he's still studying at the game so hard after how many years he's been doing this. His enthusiasm is a good example of working hard to back your mouth up. Great all rounder imo 👍🏼
U probably only saw it from dc video right
The yan fight was so satisfying everyone said he had zero chance
I'm a fan of Sean but let's be real he didn't earn that win 🤷♂️
@@drunkenmmamaster419 if you’re scoring if for control time sure you can give it to yan but damage was all Sean 29-28 for him
But thanks to the judges
@@chuancey0389so he wins the fight cuz of a cut he put😂
@@Baryonyx01 that’s how the scoring works and he beat him in the feet in the first yan got a takedown and did nothing yan rocks O’Malley and takes him down and wins that round and then Sean is edging him out on the feet then he gets the cut while yan still gets the takedowns but he’s not going for submissions or doing damage there for O’Malley winning
I mean, love him or hate him, his striking is crispy af.
Skinny dude like that can easily take out men 3 times his size.
Also has some of the sickest walk off ko's in the game tbh. Cold
Lol he did walkoffs on an entire soup kitchen. The one contender he fought he arguably lost and of course didn't get the knockout.
Crispy 😂😂 bruh look at who he has won against .. the kid has 1 legit win the rest of his UFC fights has been against bums
I dont hate Omalley but I do hate NPCs saying he has “crisp” striking 😂😂
I like him but even I think UFC wants him be the champ because he's good promotion. He's crispy.
Great Video buddy, I highly enjoy your deep dives:) Couldn't ask for better!
Good look at the career of Sean so far, just as we're heading into his title shot. I hope we get there without injuries, MMA gods bless. Thanks for the video!

@@Kngzla23 Damn good show Sean put on. Patient, precise, and a beautiful shot too
His unorthodox movement reminded me immediately a point guard with nasty ball handling skills faking the defender out their shoes.. then I saw his “post victory jump shot” celebration and that definitely confirmed to me that he’s incorporated skills on the court to his skills in the ring. Explosive unpredictable attacks to the basket that leave defenders clueless where the ball is and where you’re going with it isn’t so different than explosive unpredictable attacks that leave your opponents clueless where your hands and feet are and where you’re throwing them.
You are so right. he looks like he's playing ball with his smooth unpredictable movement. He moves like he's doing jukes and cross overs
Very well said, looks so similar to how a point guard would play iso ball lol. especially at 16:00
All respect to Mountain Dew head, he got the toughest opponent for his debut and got absolutely dawged on. Poor guy
And that's why Sean has the greatest abs known to man

damn what a great vid, i thought i was a fan, but this highlighted a lot. i'm going back to watch these fights i missed. Even at the highest level, UFC, he displays a lot of diversity in his striking compared to the others.
Man, your channel is not nearly popular enough. This video is on another level. Best of luck with my man.
You continue to have the best MMA content in the game 💯
I’ve been waiting so long for you to do O’Malley. Picked a good time before his title shot.
One of the most elite strikers of the UFC, he just needs to work on his grappling more and more ❤
His grappling wasn't bad off his back from what we've seen in the Almedia and Yan fights but he doesn't really pose any threats from his back just defensively sound to not take much damage and get back up
@@drunkenmmamaster419I would assume he can but mma and the ufc are getting further and further away from “mixed” martial arts and more towards striking, which makes sense because one ground altercation can take more energy than 2 rounds of striking. It’s about efficiency and Sean seems to be one of the most efficient
Great video and enjoy watching Sean, has the flow state vibe.
You have new subscriber here brother. Great video!
Genuinely amongst the absolute best of walk off ko's though.
That's just a fact.
Sugar will land a sucker punch on you in the middle of the fight.

His potshot game is on point. His vision and instincts are incredible.

The way the commentators were talking when omalley dropped Almeida twice to then walking their comments back when he was like "alright fine I'll execute him"
How many losses in a row did Almeida have before he fought Sean? 3? Oh yeah he did so looks like he wasn't that good to make the KO impressive.
@@armandocool97 I didn't say Almeida was a good opponent, the way Sean walked off twice he knew it was over but the ref and commentary wanted to see a body
@@pupperfaust8547 Fully agree, Almeida was clearly beaten and just too tough for his own good. Sean didn't want to do unnecessary damage, but the ref forced his hand. Hearing the comm crew clutch their pearls after giving him shit all fight for walking away was super cringe.
Imo he has the best boxing out of anyone in his division rn. Even made Yan wrestle him.
I agree. A lot of people don't see it yet but his striking ability is top tier.
@@benmcreynolds8581Not really. He struggled against Yan and arguably lost. Couldn't KO Moutinho the king of bums. And Chito destroyed him. Sterling wins easily.

any predictions on his outfit? will he be wearing a backpack?

The main problem I see with O'Malley is his feet and ankles appear to be made of glass lol. He hurts his feet a LOT. Even though he's winning fights he tends to be limping bad after each fight and often mentions in the press conference that landing a kick hurt his foot at some point.
fire ass video
god I wish that Yan fight was 5 rounds.. I'm fine with Sean winning, I just wanted more of it. what an awesome fight man
Both of them had to dig deep in that fight to keep going, what a banger it was!
for some reason that move at 8:56 where he covers the face with his hat so he can throw the brutal sucker punch absolutely cracks me up
This is sick good work and let’s go sug🏆
Craziest thing is Sean O’Malley is young Jon Jones, but without the world class Greco, without the freakish kicks and viciousness and without the strength. Not a knock on Sean, Sean is amazing, but puts into perspective how Jon was and still is generations ahead of his competition
Imagine if jones had Sean's striking ability
Your vids are so much better when you don’t commentate the entire time , no disrespect. I just like either fight sounds or music and it’s the best shit to put on
The shoulder an knee shrug is enough to make an opponent look for a kick and in that same shrug his right straight flew out like a freaking sword
Could've also been a low uppercut
This aged well…
Who's here after Suga won the belt??
really great video man!
I've trained mma and have watched the ufc for many many years and for people and some ufc fighters say Sean isn't that good is crazy to me. Sean is the new breed and I'm a Hervey weight but from the get go I've been an O'Malley fan!! He is on a different level he is the new generation of fighters because we smart people no that mma is always growing and learning and Sean is great out of the octagon but even better in the octagon!
God, that calm walk up to finish dudes is so fucking cold 🧊
Dude hit him with the Warzone finisher
Great video
That Mouthino fight it’s something inhuman, that geeza must’ve got some brain damage along his MMA career, he should stop now before he turns into a vegetable
Thank you. So many people overlook that fight but O'malley in my opinion really separated himself by proving insane striking cardio endurance output stamina that carried power/diversity/movement/handling constant pressure/striking going backwards. It's insane. He set a new 3 rnd. Striking record that day. I don't think people realize that. Plus other people could have fought that same opponent but not produced that same outcome. Idk why some people don't realize that? It's impressive what Sean is capable of.
@@benmcreynolds8581
Yeah not that impressive seeing Kris got knocked out in the first round by his next unranked opponent.
Sean looked good because he basically sparred with this kid. There is levels to this and when Kris was badly beaten by his next opponent it kind of ruins what people like you say.
Sean got my respect when he beat Yan. But his opponents before that besides Marlon we're bums.
Don't be salty. I like Sean always have but I live in reality also
@@drunkpaulocosta9301 here's the thing: We have seen plenty of flashy KO's from O'malley. Sometimes it's awesome to get to see if a fighter is capable of not just putting on flashy quick finishes but instead see if they can put on a striking clinic over each round. (McGregor proved he wasn't that type of fighter. Sean showed that he's not just flashy in the early parts of fights but can sustain that throughout the entire fight while setting new striking records.)
And now hes champ.
Sean "that thing" O'Malley
the sound Almeidas head made when O'malley finished him shook me to my core
great stuff
Notice with Almeida, he hit him with the Same Aljo counter, just with his Left Hand. Power in both hands
Absolutely love his fighting style.... we need more straight up kick boxers in the UFC!
Or you could just watch kickboxing......
Let's just admit, "welcome to the suga show" is a brilliant piece of marketing.

16:27 Suga dribbling while punching combos is wild😂
11:50 Chito's calf kicks didn't destroy sean's leg, he hit a nerve that made is leg useless. Big diff
Sean is the truth. Also it’s sad what they made him do to Almeida. He showed mercy then they made him destroy him.
Yeah completely agree
Yep. Like YES, Sean wants a flashy walk-off KO obviously, but it was super obvious he didn't want to do unnecessary damage to a guy who was clearly beaten and being too tough for his own good in there.
How did Chris take that damage
Suga is one of few fighters who understand its a business just like Chael or Conor
sweet striking indeed

I just love to watch this dude fight. I don't care about anything else man. dude is an artist in there.
Good shit
His desire for the “walk off knockout” may cost him a fight one day. It overrides his desire to strike until the fight IS over. He assumes the ref sees the knockout blow he just landed and is going to end it immediately, forgetting that many of the times they ARE knockout blows but only in that they set you up for the immediate FINISHING blows that a guy can’t recover from and that a ref can’t not stop. A knockout blow isn’t a finishing blow when you give your opponent a chance to recover from it, where he shows the ref enough that he’s now consciously demonstrating he’s defending himself and able to continue. One day he may assume a knockout blow is a finishing blow, hesitate to move in for the actual finish, allow his opponent to recover and actually come back to KO HIS ass.
O'Malley is a great, top-tier bantamweight no question. His career was one of a kind, and arguably smart. Instead of rushing in to the top rankings, he knew he was a good draw and spent his time as an entertainer beating up lesser fighters. He starts pushing up only when he knew he's on his peak physical condition age-wise.
But that win over Yan was disgusting. Even more wretched was the way UFC protected their favorite moneymakers. You can only do this with Dana White priviledge. I think he has a decent chance against Sterling, more than people thought. But I'm afraid he'll pull out a Connor and be an inactive champ.
The win over Yan was completely legit, going by the unified rules for scoring, which is what the judges go by. It was a close fight but not a robbery or shady by any means.
"I fuckin love you too buddy"😂😂😂
what is the audio at 16:20?
think Omalley has a really good chance to take the belt. Think hes good enough on the ground to survive and Aljo ducks his head a lot and can telegraph takedowns leaving him open to kicks and knees especially at range. Also think aljo was struggle to get in close range with omalley. Should be a good one regardless
Fighters like Suga, Max Holloway, Zabit and Oliveria reminds the world to never underestimate a skinny dude. He may knock your lights out.
A real warrior ❤
Why did you remove the costa video?
So good
early stoppage against chito
And now he is a bantamweight champion 🏆🏆
The crazy part is that Sean was still outstriking Chito even with that leg. But when he fell down it was over.
yeeee.... we need a new chapter 😅
That fight with Soukhamthath seemed to almost certainly be fixed, because there isn’t a fighter alive who doesn’t know to back off and wave him up.
If he can’t stand properly, it’s a TKO.
I believe Andre was a sacrificial lamb who was paid to lose.
Sean is definitely talented enough to be a top-ranked guy, but I’m not sure he can beat high-level grapplers like Merab, who use volume takedowns. Sterling isn’t THAT kind of grappler.
Also… I have my doubts about Sean being clean from PEDs, but I believe he will continue to test clean now that he’s a superstar.
Great striking, and the character he plays resonates with the kids.
Sean is a Montana Man,,,,they dont come any tuffer... he will be the Sweet Suger Show...and deserves it...
