Manteiv you don’t have to set up every kick with a punch buddy, in many cases your opponents can figure out your rhythm.

he placed 7th in ncaas whereas others have won medals even gold in wrestling. yes hes an outstanding wrestler but theres many who outclass him on wrestling alone

The scary thing about Gaethje is that he hasn't used that much of his wrestling game yet and he still managed to snatch the interim title. If that guy starts busting out those bodyslams in the UFC, he could be unstoppable.

You should look that fight up. Gathje hated that fight, it looks like he cried over what he had to do when it was over. He walks over and says some thing to Newell and when hes walking back he screams "fuck" then goes to the other side of the ring and goes face down to the mat. He also hesitated several times in the fight

I wasnt saying Newell isnt a serious MMA fighter, he is but there was always going to be a point where his lack of a hand would handicap his ability to defend himself. If he hadnt been handicapped I have no doubt he would have won a world championship belt one day.

Gaethje does not get enough credit for his speed. His hands are incredibly quick and that was one of the biggest factors in the Ferg fight.
The way he lifted his opponent to slam him on the ground at 3:16... Holy shit... And these slams and ground & pounds, and low kicks... I wish he used a bit more wrestling in the UFC, what a monster.

Nice vid well done. Some footage I've never seen of Justin. Those quick explosive low kicks really started to be implemented when he stepped into fight for the World Series. Dudes savage. Like truly just sacrifices it all. I'm 45 and had a career myself. There comes a day all of a sudden where it's like. Dude I just don't want to get punched and kicked anymore. Daily. I love to roll as much as I can squeeze in today. And compete. I truly wish sometimes I had what they have today in camps. And teams. I have alot of love for the new gen fighters. Both boxing and MMA. Justin's a true vet. Laser focused. There to get the job done. Gifted athlete with unreal work ethic.
And to see Khabib dominate someone as explosive, dangerous and skilled as Gaethje is just mind blowing.

What I learned from watching this is Justin knows when a fighter is out classed. He knows he's hurting someone and pulls back hoping the ref will call the fight. The dude is a class above all else. For sure.

Kind of weird that refs don’t stop more fights when the fighter’s legs are getting demolished.
I know right when they can't walk they can't fight like how are you gonna defend yourself like that but some refs view it as "only a leg" and let the other fighter beat the shit out of him
