Alex is everything Izzy proclaims to be.
Got to be real this is a bad take. I’m a huge fan of both Alex but it is just undeniable that Izzy was one of the best champs the UFC has seen. Just based on how active he was and the story lines he was able to create. There is no Alex without Izzy and I believe personally that there is no Izzy without Alex with how great both of their fights were. You can pick favorites but I believe both fighters have been shaped by one another and both deserve their own respect from the fans.
@@2hatsful I don't disagree but Alex is 3-1, took his title, went up and beat Jan when Izzy couldn't, then won another title and has beat 5 champions or former champions. Izzy fights outside maybe 3 were snooze fests. The rest he was just a point fighter. I'll bet you 1000 dollars Alex will beat Izzy if they fight again. Also Alex is 37 and humble. The only two division champion in Glory history and now a two division UFC champ. I do wholeheartedly agree there is no Izzy without Alex and vice versa. If Izzy had never made that bar comment we'd of never seen Alex. I just don't get how people are fans of Izzy but that's ok. Good comment.
Apart from Chinese 😂😂😂
Couldn’t agree more! Alex is to Izzy what Jones is to DC.
@@joelmacinnes2391 🤣
"Hard times create strong me"...Alex is a living example of this saying
Cliche platitudes create ignorant men.
@@hectoribarra1245 cynical attitudes creates miserable men
@@decimatedbody4122Probably right but I'm also completely sick of seeing that repeated all the time.
@@GhastlyCretin85sounds like a you problem
@@hectoribarra1245you're proving it now
When Poatan was at the one press conference with Izzy and they first faced off and he says, "Look at me," then nods, '...Saturday," is one of the most badass things i've ever seen. I dunno why, just was.
That moment you see all his anime strength go straight out the back door & into a taxi cab frozen like Alsa. CARDIOR.......
GOOSEBUMPS EVERY TIME
That's because he meant it....he said it straight to Izzy and not to the cameras.
Like what Khabib once said..."This is real talk"
This stuff is peak documentary.
Except for the translations of what he is saying, those are all wrong.
If someone needs a good portuguese translator, hit me up!
Alex's story is just like a movie
I adore alex and his real 'Rocky' story ... plus the big guy is just such a gent.
The fact that he started kick boxing at 21 is fucking crazy… let alone mma later and then being a double champ … crazy
Movies are based off reality
@@K1ngAlexander gennetics basically, my cousin is 6'4, 110kg and his bf is not high, his a pure mesomorph, ive seen him sleep the jiujitsu state chapion and 2 of his friends by his own, the guy doesnt even get the chance to do something, he never ever went to gym or fight gyms, just pure destroyer gennetics, we play of fighting and his friends who are tall too and even taller gets demolished some how, some gennetics u just cant stand against, thats why we have smith and wessons
@@RafaelAlves-mi3wc just get better at martial arts
What a monumental job you did by putting countless pieces of clips, interviews in different languages and fight videos together to create this, arguably the best Poatan documentary I've found on CZcams. I know other comments have stated the same, because it's truly amazing what you've done so take everyone of them as a big THANK YOU from us, Alex "Poatan" Pereira's fans. What a story, and what a warrior, a humble, rather silent, shy but gentle giant.
yeahh holy really impressive
This video is simply amazing!

There’s just something about Alex Perierra that I absolutely love. I hope he learns English soon. Can’t wait for UFC 300.

I hope he never learns English...it's part of Alex's aura. I don't get ppl's obsession for him to learn English.

People: Learn English!
Alex: Chama
😂😂😂😂 he’s just quiet this whole scene lmfaooooo 27:56 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is not going to.
This dude is the leanest man I've ever seen in my life, he cuts weight to make 205 yet you can see his ribs and every bone in his body. The man is just built for fighting, he's got to have the lowest body fat % ever. He looks like he's made out of steel, and he moves like a fucking gazelle out there. The thing that makes Alex so dangerous is his mind, he's a thinking, plotting fighter. He's got the best trap set ups for KO's I've ever seen, he's so intelligent in there, thinking 2-3-4 steps ahead of his opponents. Just a once in a life time athlete. The better his TDD is the more unstoppable he becomes.
49:12 when he teach strickland how to hit adesanya was cool
Yes, best moment of the video
@@filipegr9406 ....and then showed a slo-mo clip of the real time hit in the cage....that is top-shelf editing right there
The fact he doesn't speak English I think adds to the mystique Poatan is a warrior chama
Only an American would say something so thick lol
He is already little bit old to learn, the older u are is harder to learn.
@@Obiodum_ not American so does that make you thick lol
Yes
Strickland and Alex training together to beat Adesanya is awesome man
The fact that Sean trained with him and got the W, and later Jamahal did similarly with Izzy only made it a hundred times better 😂
@@Tobiasu no tf he didn't. they fucking faced timed each other, they never trained with each other like alex and sean smh. you izzy haters love making shit up eh?
A movie scene, could be a Rocky
This is not documentary, this is poetry.
Izzy is cringe af
He’s a badass fighter seems like a good dude but yeah his shit talk is very cringe
27:56 🤣🤣🤣🤣 fck Sean Strickland always funny asf 😅😅😅
He’s also on the juice! Just look at his hanging nipple.
Izzys big ego 😂
yes but in a way that makes it more surprising and respectable that a cringe anime nerd can become world champ
How Izzy can do what he did after losing 3 times. What he did to Alex’s 5 year old shows that deep down he’s just an insecure boy.
To all young MMA fighters….i dare say that most fathers would be instructing them to follow in Alex’s footsteps.
Stoic, masculine, quiet….not painting their finger nails and acting like a fool.
In the end the money will come by being good at what you do, you don’t need to be a clown.
GSP, DC, Anderson Silva, Alex….they didn’t need to make things a side show in order to be successful.
It’s refreshing
GSP is the greatest to ever wear a pair of UFC gloves. Inside and outside the Octagon.
Anderson Silva clowned his way out of his title tho
How could you forget Khabib ?!
Absolutely right in your words
@@Danne313 There are others too. Khabib, Don Frye, Forest Griffen, Lawler, Whittaker, even Daniel Cormier
This video, even it is not Portuguese-Brazilian, has the greatest true and chronological details that I have ever seen.
The best ever Poatan Parera 👌👏 Amazing Clip 👏
Brazilian pride!! Your story is beautiful and motivates us. CHAMA! 🔥
I had to pause the video to compliment and credit the amazing editing in this video. Great work! You deserve more than just one like!
Damn! I knew Alex was special before watching this documentary, but upon watching it, now it’s confirmed, he’s an ALIEN 🦾👽
And at the same time an awesome and authentic human being
An Elijah Oxford video?!?! Today really is my lucky day
9:09 😂 did Adesanya really hit him with that “UH VAI MORRER” lmaoo

awesome job highlighting the storyline! I had no idea about glover's part and that was such a good thing to know :)
His brothers death explains his drinking imo....then maybe he had an epiphany as to do something that would make his brother more proud of him than disappointed.
What a video, what editing, the music, the everything bro. What a story you've just told. Subscribed fully!!!!!
This the best mma video I ever watched. The story, the characters, the drama. Exceptional. Thank you!
Elijah oxford, one day will have the deserving views, likes, recognition he needs !!!
Thanks dude had me hooked from start to finish and alot of clips I'd never seen good job
This editing style is head and shoulders above any other MMA doc I've seen. Fantastic production. Ha ing edited well over 100 videos myself (though not at this level), I cann appreciate the absolutely excruciating attention and concentration it takes in the frame-by-frame tweaking and modifications that went on at the macro AND micro level.
I'd like to see some vid tutorials on how the hardware, software and strategic mapping played out during the process
So, so great. Alex will be remembered forever as so real, so skilled, so courageous 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Go poatan, you’ve got this. A hero and winner in kick-boxing, then champ champ in mma .
A privilege to watch & witness.
This was great! Thank you for the excellent work
This was amazing. Thank you! ❤
Humble man, not a trash talker.
If Alex retires today, he still must be considered as one of the best combat sports athlete ever.
I'm not sure if he will keep the UFC belt for too long, but the history is already writen.
He talked trash a lot. A lot.
Great Video, thanks for making this ❤
Dude this is some seriously high quality content. You have amazing skills.
Great storyline, great video. I feel like I had an idea of the storyline but this video put it perfectly. Thank you!
Fantastic work man these doc's are top quality!
Awesome video my friend. As I'm sure you know, he just cemented his champ status at UFC 300 via devastating knockout over Hill. Alex has an incredibly inspirational story. He's also a good role model for young fighters. I look forward to your future work!
I never watch full documentaries at all and i am not Alex fan but man this guy deserves so much respect he literally came home real hood with no money alcoholic gangs and all and now he is champ respect ✊
Excellent documentary !!!
Full story as events, showing different perspective of different people for specific event, emotional. In one word: GREAT!

Great Documentary brother!
Great work! Keep it up!
I didn't have things as hard as him, but I have worked very hard in my life at many jobs. I like physical labor, helps quiet my monkey mind, not much else can do it. Really cool to see someone rise up so far from a start full of pitholes through the power of hard work. I don't like working for money, but I need to expend my energy physically. When I am passionate about the purpose of the labor, like making a garden for friends, the energy just flows.
Thank u bro for making this movie
Dope editing and cut sequence. I liked the image in motion sequence of fights. I'd cite your reference so that you don't encounter any issues with powers at YT.
