Great mate, you gave me absolutely everything I needed to know about the Roland Go Mixer Pro. So much so I will be purchasing one off your review, which was much more in-depth and personable than I have seen with other videos done with Roland representatives... so awesome job.
A very good review. I have not seen anyone taking apart a pedal during the review. That was amazing. Very detailed. Thank you.
What can I say, I love voiding the warranty :) Doing it in every detailed video on this channel. Thanks
Outstanding review! It was very in-depth and informative. Thank you for your hardwork.
One of the best reviews I’ve watched in my life. So much in depth details and knowledge. Thanks!
Very thoughtful and in depth review! Thank you! I just ordered one myself!
A big thumb up for your review which really detailled! I've just decide to buy one too
Outstanding review-just bought one myself!
This is review that I have been looking for,GREAT JOB
Awesome, thank you!
Excelent video and the most complete that I've seen. This is a great interface I fell in love with it. Unfortunately I didn't find this video before to get my scarlett solo 3rd gen.
The BEST review ever! SERIOUS
ongrats for this amazing review!! Very helpful!! And I loved your music creation!!
Hi
I just got myself a Go Mixer pro x, the newest version, not used it yet
Your video will be of great help
Thanks so much
Great thorough review. Thanks a lot! Subscribed.
amazing clarifying video, man....congrats!!!!
now THAT is a review! Bravo!
this is the best review ever, very detailed
Great review and very explainable. Thanks for that
Great detailed video. You didn'tmention that if you used a USB charger with it whether it was able to CHARGE the Phone or Tablet...
Very deep review as always 👍👍👍
Thanks! I'm seriously thinking about getting some old-fashioned outdated iOS device to do reviews. Cause most of the gear won't support Android
Very well explained ,thank you .
Question is:
I need a long cable to connect The device with my iPad.,The ones that come with it is too short.
Do you have Any suggestions.?
It seems that, only The included Short cable will works properly.
Thanks.
Very helpful and good review, Thanks
The review is excellent! I had struggled with my ZTE (Android 6.0.1) and I have found that Samsung smart phones have a better Audio USB driver development
Does it work with your zte?
Cool!!!! Thanks for the review!
Very well done and an excellent guitarist/musician!
Thank you

very good review man !
the best review!
Hello … Thanks for this good review!! Can you give me the link to the Lavalier Mic you used for this review
Brilliant video many thanks
hello my friend thanx for ur best review .. the question is i can use this device with my original camera app for my Samsung s9 ??
You really detailed reviewing this device. I kind of interested on it. But, maybe i stay for a while with my focusrite.
I hear these GO: mixers are long gone. I didn't see them anywhere for quite some time. Must be discontinued
Thank you man. Nice work. Very useful.
Glad it helped
FYI: .cm is the country code top-level domain for Cameroon. Not a typo.
Thanks for the detail review! Can I connect with Blue Yeti mic? What Other accessories needed? Many thanks!
One the best reviewer
Can it be used without the usb connected? Example audio in from mic or instrument and out into a hardware sampler without involving phone, tablet or laptop?
Great device. I want it to buy.
If I want to plug in my amp to the PRO using direct OUT; do you recommend XLR==XLR or XLR== ¼ inch?
The review doesn't seem to show how to record video with audio source from go mixer.
Very helpful.
HI! What kind of mobile phone do I need to use the original "Go Mixer Pro" application? Thank you
Thanks for the video. Awesome information. Couple questions. What USB cord are you using from your laptop to the Pro? Also, at 16:21 did you plug the audio from the PC? Or a sound card that the PC is connected to? And what kind of Cable and adapter did you use for that?
Hey. I believe I used the cable that was included - the USB to micro USB one. At 16:21 Go:Mixer is the one and only audio interface connected to a computer. With the same USB cable
thanks
Man ! You teach me a lot!
Glad to hear that!
So....if i want to record acoustic drums with one mic along with a backing track...to my android and use active monitors it should be ok?
Are there vocal effects like reverb or compression?
What is the apps on PC (24:05 and 24:25)when you opened OS system ?
i had that this device works only with iPhone users, but with android smart phone like Samsung ...., it does not work?
Can you connect this Roland Go Mixer Pro to a Speaker
hey thanks for the in-depth review.. really helpful. Can you tell me what brand or type your lav mic is that works with the Go Mixer Pro? Thanks
Hey, I believe it was audio technica. But any lava mic with built-in power source or a proper phantom powered mic will work with the Go Mixer
hi sir what is the best audio mixer for music video recording to my Samsung Galaxy a70
Hey Bro, im looking to buy the Go Mixer Pro only to record my electric guitar sound for my videos on my Samsung, bro is it possible to monitor the sound with headphones plugged into the Go Mixer Pro with NO latency/Delay as I will be using the the Rec Out/Headphones jack to plug the amp into the device which will mute my amp. Im not a fan at all of recording guitar whilst just listening to the acoustics as the amp mutes.
Hey! Your review was so great! Can i know what mic condensor did you use in this review? Thankss!
Thanks. It's Studio Projects B1
@@MaxSoloMusic cool, thanks!
Is it possible to use this for recording myself on smaller gigs playing bass and key bass through my bass amp? If so, how? Lol I’m a newb
Excellent review, thank you! Which lav mic are you using? I have the iRig Mic Lav and I can't seem to get any sound in (the mic works when I plug it into the phone's earphone input directly so it's tested). Any ideas?
Thanks. Yeah, iRig lava mic is not a standard lava mic. It's designed to be used with a phone, therefore it has one additional contact on the jack connector. First two are used for stereo output and the third one is for the input (mic in this case). Go:Mixer will take any standard lava mic. Those use a regular stereo mini jack without the additional contact. I use one from Audio-technica, must be the cheapest one
@@MaxSoloMusic Ah, I see that's why... Got it, thank you so much 🙏 😊
Great review man, sorry if u mentioned but what’s the latency like if to use for a live show and how are the mic pre’s quality?
Thanks! I didn't check that but usually the latency will depend on the set buffer size. With small buffer I expect it to be below 10ms, which is kinda standard. Re mic pres - they do the job but I believe those are not high-end or something. Worth the money, but if you're going for some serious recordings i'd recommend a proper full-scale audio interface
Great review! When plugging in a guitar, do you recommend using an amp simulator from plugging to pedals or using a mic to mic the amp?
Hi Kevin. I prefer the silent option. So for me it's always a preamp and a cabsim of some sort going into the Go:mixer
Max Solo Music Hi, I have a Boss Katana Artist MK2, is it as easy as plugging the amp into the Go Mixer Pro and recording with my guitar from there? Am I missing anything?
@@MaxSoloMusic Could my guitar go into a kemper and out into that thing to redord and lay trax??
My Roland Go:Mixer Pro doesn't work. It seems when I plug into it with the USB, all touchscreen stops working. Also, it doesn't record audio like you said with the Camcorder, and with n-Track 9 same thing. Touchscreen locks. Maybe I have a broken unit. It powers on, knob volumes work, etc. Just won't record, and that's why I bought it.
Great review. know this sounds silly, but if you activate its controller/driver, then you can no longer use the internal sound card for bluetooth audio signal to the speakers at the same time I am recording/using the mixer, right? I have a Surface Pro and I'd like to send Bluetooth Audio to Bluetooth studio monitors/headphones while recording using the mixer. Is that possible? I can't select both the internal and the external driver at the same time, however. I like the standalone feature, though. So it can act like a preamp/mixer too.
Not necessarily. Using multiple audio interfaces at once is sometimes tricky but possible. On windows this can be done with ASIO4ALL for example. There has to be a way to do that on Mac as well.
Hi, excellent review, thank you very much!
Do you have any alternatives that will work with Android devices and allow for simultaneous multi track recording? I'm looking at say 4 tracks, so I could record simple live performances and still be able to mix and edit individual inputs after the fact?
Thanks! I believe Android supports sound cards connected via USB, so pretty much any interface should work. In theory. I've never tried that
What are you using to connect to a PC - USB-C OUT to what on the PC? Thanks great video
The Go:Mixer has a micro USB output. I'm using a micro USB to USB cable. I don't have any USB-C ports
Could I use any pedal to connect it?
Hi! I want to be able to record simultaneously the instrument and the vocal on 2 different tracks in a DAW, especially in a smartphone DAW. Can the go mixer pro do that?
Only if you use a stereo input. Which means you'll need an external mic preamp
Bro , thank you 🙏
Thanks a lot))
hey thanks for the video! I wonder if with the go:Mixer (not the pro version) it's possible also to connect it to the computer as an interface. Do you know if this is possible too?
Sure, it should work!
Can I make a video with it with studio audio on my posted videos with multiple instruments?
Which phone didn't work? Nice review, thank you.
Olá, muitas pessoas estão reclamando do funcionamento no sistema Android!
Is there any tips in using this to a usb c android fon? Coz mine is not working properly on my usb c mobile but on my ios lightning connection it works properly
it's supposed to be pretty straight forward with a microUSB to USB-C cable. Chances are your problem is software related. Check permissions and settings on your Android
Does this work with the latest demolition bulldozers ?
The best review 😎can i ask? How to connect 4-5 monitor headphone for the monitor of go mixer pro, because i will try to live with my band so is it possible right? Thanks for your reply 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks. You'll need a splitter of some sort. I'm not 100% sure the output IC chip will be able to hold that much load if you connect 5 headphones though. It's safer to use a separate headphones amp with multiple outputs.
My Go Mixer leaves the audio cutting a lot. The device is compatible and I have already made many tes. Audio cuts into the Camcorder app and online streaming Apps. Do you have any idea what it might be?
Can you be more specific on what you mean by 'cuts'?
in a guitar recording + video recording direct in your phone,is it possible to record the base too from the pc? thank you very much !!
Well, you can connect to only one host via USB at a time. But as Go:Mixer has plenty of inputs, you can feed it multiple signals at the same time and record it together with video. Doesn't matter whether the source is an actual instrument or a playback
Hey Max, is this has REVERB or ECHO?
Can we use microphone??thanks
WoW Max that was Very good!
Who's Erik? :)
Max Solo Music : I ‘ m sorry, I guess it is a patreon of your channel. ( I changed already) I mean you , Max right?
I’ve commented on this vid a lot but oh well.
What if I mic up my amp and connect the 🎤 to the mixer, how would that work out?
It will work just like with any other mic. Go:Mixer is like any other audio interface - feed it with some signal and it will take it
I seem to get bleed over from my monitoring when I track into any daw. Know any possible solutions?
The Loop Back switch on the front should help with that.
HAS anyone tested this with GoPro cameras yet or DSLR'A?
I don't need to use my amps, is it?
what cable you use from go mixer to PC ? and what software you use to record this video ? Thanks
It's a standard micro USB to USB cable. All necessary cables including this one are included. I use cameras to record my videos and later edit the footage in Adobe Premiere
Can this be used for Mac Catalina, Windows 10 too? for the price I like the recording sound.
It works fine with Windows. Don't know about Mac - it's not my area of expertise. I've managed to avoid Macs effectively so far
How would you use this to live stream with an iPhone while the mixer is plugged into the Mac?
I'd use a Mac to live stream in that scenario. Otherwise, connect the mixer to the phone with a USB cable and you're good to go
Latency issue. When I plug it into my PC there is a sound delay. For instance, I have an xlr mic connected from this over a drum pad but when I drum there is a stutter in the playback. Is there a way to have this be instant and normal?
There will always be latency but usually it's never longer than 20ms or so. There won't be any if you use direct monitoring using Go:Mixer's output on the front
@@MaxSoloMusic Interesting. I want to use my entire computer system output audio as what I hear in my over headset mix tho. This is for live streaming. I use OBS as stream software. The delay is so bad I cant even play music using this thing. I assumed that plugging the thing into ones PC it would still be viable. If you HAVE to monitor through only the device I guess I assumed wrong and negates the rest of the PC. I was under the impression I would be able to run tracks through my PC and play along with different instruments.
@@sodanomusic It sounds like you're using Go:Mixer with MME or WDM drivers. Try it with Asio4all and set the buffer size to 128 or 256. Go:Mixer no different than any other audio interface, so it all comes down to computer's processing power and buffer size
I have a Boss Katana Artist MK2, is it as easy as plugging the amp into the Go Mixer Pro and recording with my guitar from there? Am I missing anything? Thanks
Yeah, just use the Phones/Rec Out of the amp
Max Solo Music Thanks a lot. Do I need audio and video software and then have to sync them together or does Roland have their own app/software where I can just record the take like a normal video take on an iphone etc?
Hi bro,i bought it becoz of this review, found out later that it is not totally vompatible with my galaxy s7 Edge, there is a latency issue, any workaround to fix it?thanks
I don't own Galaxy S7 and can't help here. Maybe Roland's tech support can assist?
Uhtred of Bebbanburg?
Is that possible record two track in the same time with n track apk on smartphone _ mic and guitar ?
This unit only allows to record a stereo mix, not separate input signals. You can record left and right parts of the mix onto different tracks though. I believe N Track should be able to do that
Does anyone know if you can playalong/record to songs from CZcams etc.??
Yeah. It works just like any other audio interface. If you keep the loop back on, you can record the full mix
Could the Boss Super OverDrive SD-1 pedal work with the go mixer pro?
Sure, why wouldn't it?
Hi max , I used the GO mixer pro several times and I noticed that the USB gate became wobbling. I mean it does not give contact all the time. I record with a TD 50 Edrum and therefore I like to record stereo, but due to the fact of the USB gate issue I sometimes get mono instead of stereo sound. Did you experienced this problem too?
Please suggest. Grts from Belgium.
Hi Bob. What do you mean by USB gate? The USB connector? If so, yeah, they may wear with time and get wobbly. Although, it shouldn't affect or degrade the audio because it's not an analog connection but digital. It's all or nothing at all. Once there is contact it should work 100%. There has to be another reason why it sums the signal into mono.
Thanks for replying. ....Sorry I meant the USB port on the top of the device.
What do you think about the Zoom U44 in comparison with the GO Mixer pro? Grts love ur channel👍🏾👍
@@BobSchoepenjr That Zoom looks very solid! I never tried that specific model but if it's on the same level as portable recorders Zoom makes, it must be really good. The amount of stuff in it and connection options is just insane :)
Max Solo Music : the price is Insane too! At Baxmusic only 116 euro incl!
Can I use vocal effecs like Mic Mechanic with Mixer Pro? Please someone answer me! :(
Sure. From the mixer's perspective it doesn't matter what you connect to it as long as it's XLR or TRS. The source can be anything
Hi. I' ve Samsung A9 and operative Sistem Android 9. Does it work aswell? Thanks
It generally works with Android. There is no reason why it wouldn't work with yours, especially with it being a unit from a major brand
does it come with phantom effect for microphone condenser?
At 5:38. Yeah, it has phantom power
I just got mine and am trying to use it with my Android (tecno spark) But it's not recognizing it.
That's indeed a very very exotic phone! That alone may be the reason. But it has microUSB, right? Try that cable in both directions, who knows, maybe that would work somehow. The phone does support OTG, so maybe flashing it with another ROM could solve the problem
Its a microUSB. i'll try that, thanks
any way you could make a video using the tablets voice recorder app?
On my tab the app didn't want to communicate with GO:Mixer Pro. But with Android it's always different from one device and firmware to another. Which makes writing gear dependent apps for Android a nightmare as there's no way to test it on all possible devices.
Why does it say 9 inputs. I can only see 7 inputs and 4 volumefaders (and 1 main volume)
Instrument L; Instrument R; Line In 1 L; Line In 1 R; Line In 2 L; Line In 2 R; Guitar; Plug In Mic; Mic XLR. Those Line inputs are stereo, so 2 channels each. Instrument L+R share a gain knob and Line inputs have no preamps, therefore no gain knob
Great video! Would this be good to use as an interface for online instrumental teaching? Via Zoom or Skype? I'm ideally looking to plug in Electronic Drums/fully mic'd acoustic drums (through a single channel on a separate mixer, only 1 output to the Roland), a mobile phone to play tracks/clicks and mic (potentially the mic from my normal phone hands free headphones?). It seems as though it would but just wanted to double check...thanks!
Daniel. Same with me. Looking at options on how to stream via Zoom. I think this setup will work.
Would this work for Skype Bass guitar lessons? Sending a signal into Macbook Pro?
Yes, just like any other audio interface. Why wouldn't it
What kind of hiss noise is that? Is it from the preamp? Or ambient noise?
Do you mean the noise coming from the monitoring output? That's a very common thing with circuits intended for headphones. The output IC makes that noise and most consumer units have the same issue
what lead did you use to connect to windows pc?
The one that came with Go:Mixer - USB to Micro USB
