  • I just got this really handy Roland Go:Mixer for making camera phone videos with high quality sound.
    It takes about 30 seconds to set up and your quick music videos will end up sounding way better!
    The track I'm playing is an original tune called Sinister Intentions. Check it out here: • Richie Castellano - Si...
    And for the backing track go here: • D minor Metal Backing ...

    Does the "Monitor OUT" line only play direct sound (which hasn't passed through the iPhone), or can you tell the iPhone to send the processed audio back to it. For example, if you want to plug a guitar into the Roland Go Mixer, have the signal go into the iPhone effect pedal app, and back out to the Roland Go Mixer OUT. Is that possible? Thanks!

    Thanks for this Richie. I have a interface at my home studio but when I’m teaching and have breaks in between lessons and/or cancellations, this will be great to pump out content and make the most of my time.
    If I wanted to connect an interface to this, could I do so with the one XLR out on the Go Mixer? I have other mixers and an interface but if I wanted to track drums I could use my Motu 8pre with this very portable mixer.

      The Speaker and Mic on the phone will be deactivated by the GO:MIXER App. The supplied cables provide playback to the MONITOR OUT. Use headphones there, or take that to an amp input.

  • @bluesguitarsololessonsandv4781

    Hi. Can you help me? I love this and I want to get one. How can I get my amp sound into the go mixer? What is best to use? I use a small practice valve amp. Should I use a mic? Condenser? Some other type of equipment? Please help me 😃

    • @mariodasilva8729
      @mariodasilva8729 Před 4 lety

      Plug the guitar into the GO:MIXER then take the MONITOR OUT from the GO:Mixer to the AMP. Then you record direct sound off the guitar. OTHERWISE, use a Dynamic mic with a 1/4 inch jack cable in front of the AMP into the GO: Mixer... You cannot use a condenser mic directly into the GO:MIXER as it does not provide any phantom power to the mic.

    • @DanielSamulewiczXXI
      @DanielSamulewiczXXI Před 5 lety

      78tag, the point with Go:Mixer is you don’t need AC power. So you can go completely off-the-grid with it. Which isn’t case with Helix. Also Helix price is 10 times Go:Mixer.

    @clementtytube Před 4 lety +1

    Wow... A query.. I see you do a lot of panning on the mixes but when on go mixer, I guess all of your stereo mixes got ruined and turned into MONO. That is too bad i guess as a recordist. The final music lost its cool vibe, I guess. Still I may be wrong. I thought I heard only Mono(hard to tell heating once) . If you still say it is stereo recording then it is just a great tool to have as it preserves the mixing. But it might also be due to the phone video app that converts audio into Mono. Anyways brother!! God bless and great playing!!!
