Thanks for the review. Let’s keep hating Micro-USB together! Perhaps somebody will listen, someday
Right lol can’t understand how the heck in 2023 companies are still making products with micro usb. Wait what year are we in again??? 😅
Thanks, mate! This video demo has been very helpful. It answered all my questions and I think this mixer fits my application. I will be using it for online lessons and recording bass tracks through reaper with a backing track.
Thank you for making a honest video, a few people in the independent, roland go mixer pro x group in facebook purchased due to your video.
Best review for this mixer. Thanks!
Great review and application test
Good video, seeing more possibilities with this mixer would be really interesting!
Best demo! Thanks for this!
Glad you liked it!
It actually sounds better than most budget mixers.
The first few minutes one gets the feeling death or insanity is just around the corner, but quite soon things are on track, and in the end Sonic State Discipline prevailed.
Very handy looking box!
Hello! Thank you for this very useful video!
I have a question: if I want to use a condenser microphone (and then use the Phantom), but without the AAA batteries, can I replace them with a powerbank?
I saw an official Roland video, where your smartphone can be connected in the "plug in mic" input, instead of in the usb input. Maybe in this way you can use the powerbank to power the Phantom through the USB input (but maybe in this way you can not record audio and video at the same time ).
Thanks in advance!
There should be more YOU in the image previews. I get clickier that way. Good luck in the heat, stay safe, and thanks for the good work.
Hi there! Great video, how does it do with recording guitar/bass amps?
Does it distort easily or does it hold up well?
I'm considering this purchase but have a question, if I'm in a phonecall can I have audio from the caller as well as my microphone come out of this device so I can record both? or would it output only the caller?
Good demo..
Wow that musicmaster has the coolest shaped pick-guard , don't see those very often .
What cables do i need in order to attach it to my Pionee DDJ 1000?
I want to order this little beauty but don’t know exactly what other cables to order with it
Can you connect a bas amp to the go mixer so we can do post eq from the amp?
Thank you for this… but how were you able to connect it and record using the DAW
Great to see you as Bassplayer Nick 😃👍🏻🙏🏻✨🕊🌈🌿
Thanks! I’m struggling with a unique issue. I am trying to use any iPhone and iPad together with this. Along with some teenage engineering gear . My issue is when my using a looping type app, I can’t get it set up properly. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!
To be a bit more clear, when connecting the 3.5 cable to my iPhone via a USB adapter, I cannot hear audio from my iPad which is connected to usb. If I turn on loop back then the loop recording I’m doing also recorded what’s being played (not what I want) and if I connect my iPad to say the front audio device port then it nullifies my ability to record audio into iPad
Short outro but definitely high quality stuff, decent low freq, lots of headroom, very low background noise. And a bass playing to make Gaz jealous. Well, almost.😊😉
yep sonically its pretty solid I would say - low noise and enough gain on the inputs. Sounds better than previous generations we think
@@sonicstate do you think the sampling rate has been increased? Some of the 44-48khz usb interfaces really struggle with slow ambient sources.
If I want to plug in my amp to the PRO using direct OUT; do you recommend XLR==XLR or XLR== ¼ inch?
This mixer would be perfect if it had panning knobs
It was 31-32 here in the Roman city Somerset too!
Can i use my RC300 Loop Station on the intsruments input ? I'd appreciate so much if you might reply. Thank you.
Would it record vdrums in stereo?
Hi could this product run two headsets with mics that can talk to each other and also have music playing in the background either from a phone or a computer like a Surface Pro? Thanks
Can you give me a tips is i wanna use rode wireless go ii with this?
Hello, how would I hook up two keyboards at once?
HI! What kind of mobile phone do I need to use the original "Go Mixer Pro" application? Thank you
What is the bit rate for the DACs?
Thanks for the review! I was wondering: For comparison, are there any additional usb-powered portable mixers with a comparable set of inputs or even more outputs? I'm trying to get a scope for the range of devices at this price point, and see if this is indeed the best at its price point. I'm thinking about how well the audio out of this would pair with a little $150 portable speaker with a 1/8" input (headphone jack).
Hart makes similar small USB powered mixers. 4 to 5 channels for under 100. Think there are 6ch and 8ch as well. There's a few different models..
I remember the go mixer pro only working with an active phone application and
Not a computer recording interface. Has Anyone had
Any luck when tryouts no to run the old go mixer pro into a computer?
Old go mixer pro works with zoom on a Mac
is the usb cable is still proprietary ? on the previous version it was impossible to replace it for something longer
We used a USB-C Hub on the adroid phone so used that to charge and connect via a rtegular Micro USB cable
Maybe I’m not doing something incorrectly, but this device doesn’t allow me to hear my instruments all too well without exceeding peak. Like my instruments have to be really low on the headphones
Where to able to order this?
Can someone tell me whats a good app for android recording with a mixer, i deleted it by mistake
Hi. Can it use as audio interface to PC and use with guitar amp vst plugin(like Bias fx) without outputting its direct dry signal?(just output processed signal from PC)
Yes you should be able to, it has a guitar level input and will show up as a 2 channel input audio device (class compliant)
What camera app is it please?? And what volume does it need to be on ?
Подскажите пожалуйста при подключении к устройству конденсаторный студийный микрофон не работает! Что это может быть?
Boi it’s a oven out there 😩🥵
Hello lovely channel: Here is my Gear...
An acoustic Martin D18 guitar with a K&K mini pickup installed. A SHURE beta 87a phantom powered mic. A STOMP BOX made by ORTEGA and a Fishman Loudbox Artist amplifier.
Here is the question; I know the GO gives a dry signal, would it be a better idea to use DIRECT LINE IN LINE OUT and connect the amp to the GO? Would I then need to monitor with my headset in my amp or monitor with my headset plugged into the GO? Would the settings on my AMP have effect on the sound,...I mean is for example chorus and echo noted while monitoring? And the other question: Will my iPhone use the build in mic also when plugged in the GO?
Let's hear you play more bass guitar in future episodes! 🎸🎶
Trust me, thats as good as it gets
@@sonicstate 🤣☺️
Can you plug this directly into an active speaker? I guess the output is not balanced but still
Not balance no, but yes you can plug it in with the right adapter
The angle that the mini USB connector is coming out of the unit is why I hate mini USB connectors. It's a consumer standard for phones that are often replaced every two or three years, these tiny connectors shouldn't be on music gear.
Mine broke. :/ And it wasn't that good to begin with, it's for non-serious use. I have 3 other mixers including a portable one with an actual PSU, so I won't suffer. Hoped to have this one "on the go", though.
Thanks Nick, really wanted this till I realised the usb cable could be an issue as I seem to have bought a phone with non standard usb ffs, hope you feeling cooler.
Are we going to have to start a go fund me to get nick a new air con? It's been like three summers now, lol.
Where cam i buy it?
I think they are having supply issues as with many manufacturers right now - the shortage of AD and DA converters is messing with all the audio interface type stuff.
Cheap & nasty gizmo that won’t stand the test of time… like you said its cheaply made… Go for something more robust - Focusrite & small passive or active mixer - passive instruments also need an Active Di box to boost the signal & give you a crisper line level 👍🏼 Focusrite is only £130 cheaper for a 212. Good honest review on the product though 👍🏼 Thanks for uploading. Personally i’d stick with Focusrite for now 👍🏼
How did you get hold of one?
I’ve had one on pre-order for about a month. August I think it’s due…
I’d assume sent to him for review.
@@walrtbstudios5430 I've been looking at them.... mostly as a portable option for my laptop but also for recording to android phone... had hoped they'd be here sooner than Sept... at best I think they'll be available late August... look good in some ways though for an ultra portable option. Decided not to pre order but may regret that.
@@burprobrox9134 almost for sure... was partly meant as a cheeky question.
hi couldnt really hear bass
Be nice if @roland sent me one since I bought a gomixer new that didn’t work and guitar center wouldn’t take it back and told me to contact Roland who never responded. Wasted $100 haven’t bought roland item since
I was going to buy it until I saw that USB "micro" jack. They FAIL Roland! They are too damn fragile. One click away from buying on Sweetwater. Glad I checked this review first. No sale.
Micro USB = instant "No"
Interesting- you know of someone else doing this sort of thing then?
@@walrtbstudios5430 The Beatstep Pro was USB powered via micro USB and on stage was a liability. Any slight movement tears it off the board. In music equipment micro USB is a notorious fail point.
Totally agree, got 2 dead bsp. Never again, and that plus crappy cracked keys swore me off Arturia as well.
@@angstrom Same for me, one look at the micro USB connector and it's not something I want to have around . . . Just look at the angle the micro USB connector is coming out of the unit . . . Yikes !! . . . . it's a consumer standard for phones that get replaced every couple of years, these tiny connectors shouldn't be on music gear, and a definite 'no' for any live work (obviously).
Seems like an ideal mixer for more high tech buskers.
wibbly wobbly lmao
design looks crude
Why do new products still use micro USB. It’s on its way out. USB C is superior. It’s actually a massive turn off to me knowing something has a Micro USB
Yup, we agree!
This product is such a piece is shyt, no matter how good my cables are, the whining feedback is terrible, not to mention the mixing not working while recording straight into a daw. Just terrible
first! ; - )
Looks pretty terrible. Jeez Roland, you couldn't do better?
