GIVE US MORE!!! is so great see your videos after a long work day, i hope see more jamms here, UR AWESOME! Gratz from Brazil!
The first GoMixer is definetely my favorite gadget. Got really curious about new one Bo! Thanks for the video.
Awesome, candid review MistaBeats. It seems these are two pretty cool products for mobile devices!
I dig the design, I could see this being very useful for portable applications. Great video! I really enjoyed that jam man, I'd like to hear the rest of that!
I have a video called DIGITONE SOUNDS REALLY GOOD... I think the jam is in there more developed!
Nature Bo is back, YES! Awesome Digitone Jam
I could tell you ere having a good time doing this one Bo! You sold me! The pro is only $40 more than anything else like the 8 channel loop, just mixer, and this is Roland, that’s a no brained. I have a particular purpose for this as I want to be able mix my TE Speak, my Orba and my iOS synths at the same time. Maybe silly but very portable, Rolands high quality with IOS recorded on FL portable and Bluetooth to FL studio should work beautifully,! TY Bo, again you’re entertaining and way informative. Cheers!
Great video Bo, I got the original which I get a lot of use out of, do the batteries for phantom power, power the device aswell. That was the only let down with the original if you wanted to use it not plugged into your ipad but as a standalone. Batteries also cancel out AC hum which is good to get round powering from a AC source.
I dig it. Has potential in the near future for me personally. Thanks Bo.
I'm using this item with a e609 for recording guitar. Thanks for the video
I connected this to my pc and webcam. It does work.
Very nice video! I wanted to ask, how was it to connect it to the camera app on the iPhone? so far it hasn't been consistent with the iconnect4.
(you have to start the app first and then connect, and even then, it's not always the same). How is the Go in that aspect?
Came for the review. Stayed for the awesome track at 3:20!
Would I be able to plug this into a Novation Audiohub to use as an external mixer for a Minibrute or something similar?
Hi Bo. I am looking for an audio interface in order to record the sounds of my Yamaha reface into Ableton live on my MacBook. With 2 instrument inputs (L+R) it would be enough. I want it to be as small as possible. What would you recommend?
Liking your graphic cutaways these days :)
So... I'm a bit confused. Can this be a standalone mini mixer for say.. my OP-Z and OP-1 so I can just practice on the go?
Is the loopback feature the reason that on the original Go:mixer if i run audio out of the "monitor out" of the Go:Mixer, i get a mix thats both the dry and wet signal? It has been making me absolutely nuts, as i want to use my iphone as an effects processor for external gear, but this makes it so instead of having a 100% wet signal from an effect in aum, i get 50% because of this mix. I appreciate an answer because i cant seem to find one anywhere. Also if anyone knows a work around, that would be nice.
I play guitar how do i have a song playing and play my guitar over the song what inputs do i use?
Hey Bro, im looking to buy the Go Mixer Pro only to record my electric guitar sound for my videos on my Samsung, bro is it possible to monitor the sound with headphones plugged into the Go Mixer Pro with NO latency/Delay as I will be using the the Rec Out/Headphones jack to plug the amp into the device which will mute my amp. Im not a fan at all of recording guitar whilst just listening to the acoustics as the amp mutes.
amazing melodica performance! :D
11/10!!
can i use amplitube on this gomixer pro?
works just fine as a basic audio interface with windows 10 on a pc. In through the usb; record to audacity or the native windows video app. Also used it with zoom, skype, and webex.
I’ve started to use Zoom H6 for field and multitrack recording. It has six tracks (four, if you don’t count the mic stereo pair), so I find it quite nice and useful for these purposes, but maybe I’m just speaking of an instrument in a different price range, I dunno.
This looks pretty solid, though what sets it apart from something like the Yamaha AG03 or 06? (which is a wee bit cheaper)? Great review as always *^_^*
I can see it would be really useful for quick jam sessions, but you’d want to hide it under your gear because it looks horrible.
Is roland go mixer pro have an eq?
I had the originalen go mixer. But I had to find out, that it is not working with every Android device... There is a small list of compatible Android devices, but Roland put that offline annyway.
I love my go mixer. I feel the “pro” should have had drivers for computer use, separate ports to simultaneously charge your phone while using it, and maybe some internal fx/sends
Good points
Hey Bo. I'd say with the single stereo output you could always use it as a little mix buss in an existing setup. Extra inputs are always welcome 😁
4:13 ooh my god its that unbelievable beautiful patch from the digitone sound demo of yours! I heard that on repeat for the last week haha. A tutorial on how to make it would be awesome
Can i run the ,,Bo of Sweden'' song on this? Needs more channels for that.
I'm conflicted getting this or something like the Bastl dude, good to know there is a pro version now, because I seriously considered getting the original GO. Novation Audiohub looks pretty nice I saw Jakob Haq use it with his iPad. Not to mention the Zoom H5 has an audio interface if I'm not mistaken? Either way great video as always, super informative!
I am wondering something similar... will this work like the Bastle Dude?
I love my classic go mixer, it has improved my youtube productivity tenfold!
now I'm just miffed because now I want the new one lol.
I see they still haven't released it with a longer cable still!
What do you mean stereo over mono tracking ? You can't do multi tracking ? Not an audio interface
If we connect a headphone to the go mixer pro, can we be able to listen music from apps like itunes or youtube? Will we be able to adjust the music volume using the master volume controller?
Yes
great video and very grateful that you did not do a death metal shred
No one is making video test with android only with iPhone, where can I hear how it works with Android phone?
Has anyone tried this with a Samsung Note 10+? I have been looking for something to run my Behringer XR18 mixers audio out direct into my Note 10+. I would like to be able to record video of my studio sessions, and also stream live on Facebook. Mind you, not at the same time. I'm having a difficult time finding info on interfaces for the Note 10 which only has USBc. No headphone jack. The only thing that has been recommended thus far is the iRig Duo Pro. It's a bit more expensive than this one from Roland. Thanks in advance for any input.
Any news on release date or price?? Tried to Google search the Pro and can’t find a thing related to it except this video
check Roland international/Global website =)
This is about the Go:Livecast Pro : so, honestly I did not go through
the comments, if anybody mentioned this, I'm sorry to bring it up
again...but a worldwide known company like Roland, coming out with a
product, that has a mono (!!!) output in 2019 is just beyond
unimaginable and bad in every way possible...was really excited to get
this and i have been using since may (not been able to work cause of
covid and my friend actually bought it for me for a hefty $250). I am
still speechless, how can they do such a mistake! Now I am stuck with
this and even tho I like the video features, (main stream is with
iPhoneX and additional satellite cam is with iPad5thgen and thats cool)
Roland is a music equipment company for the most part so I am just
total clueless, why...anybody had anything to say about this?
Hmmm kind of a mixed message about this being an audio interface or not, and when describing the loopback feature was it implied that you'd be routing the audio out of the iPad into the mixer then back into the iPad? Because I don't believe you stated that important detail. And you didn't want to explain the center cancel feature? Maybe highlight the differences between the inputs? Ya know, explain the relevant fundamental technical details of the product, in case some budding young musicians find your video seeking help understanding how to use their new device. But hey, at least you gave plenty of shout outs to your sponsors!
So I just went and read the manufacturer description of the Go Mixer on Amazon and I learned more about the benefits and purpose of this device in one minute than this entire video taught me. It actually does sound useful in certain situations, but I definitely wouldn't be using it to record a gig.
Super informative film, but did I understand that correctly now? For example, I film myself making music myself and I can incorporate my currently live music into the video so that I have the best possible sound. Otherwise, when I was filmed I always had to take the sound over the iPhone microphones and there was the sound of course not stereo and really lousy.
sure, this works. You can plug in a mic, film some video with the phone and voilá = better audio quality in the video. Very handy for FB/Instagram videos
I do not need the microphone, just the mixer output with the sum of all synthesizers.
Nice vid Bo.. so sad to hear a sad melodica, hehe! 😂
My Go mixer is barely a year old, and came in blister packaging. The Go mixer comes with 2 lightning cables, for i0s and Android. Plus the original Go mixer draws its power from the iPad device itself. I paid $140 CND. Not sure abt the Go Mixer Pro though. Good video Bo, but I'm passing on the Go Mixer pro. :-)
same here, ac\batteries is a pain in the neck, the whole idea of original model is ruined
Gotta sample that sad melodica note to use in something 😂
Hey Bo. Great presentation as usual. The only thing with the original Go Mixer is that it didn't work with all phones. If you were using iPhone it was great but if you are on Android it wouldn't register on quite a few phones. I bought it and had to take it back the next day as it wasn't compatible with my Samsung 7. What is the compatibility of the new Go Mixer Pro? Does it work with all Android phones now?
They provide a compatibility list on the website I think. I believe there is still a problem with this.
That is such a shame. For the idea of what it could have been it would have been a great product. Apple already have their own product iRig so making the Go Mixer compatible with all Android phones would have been a big plus for Roland if they had addressed the issue in the Pro version. They definitely dropped the ball on this one. Maybe another company can come up with something that fulfills the void in the market.
Yeah I have no clue if this is a common problem or not with Andriod devices. I assume that it is a matter of Andriod being very flexible just like Windows and drivers mucking up
BoBeats In your video you specifically state that it's "really good with an Android". But it's not compatible with Samsung devices, i.e. the most popular smartphones on the market, Android or otherwise? [Yes, significantly ahead of Apple based on Q1 2018 statistics (23% vs 15% of global market)].
There's a pretty critical gap between "is really good with" and "have no clue if works with" when describing the compatibility of a product specifically designed for mobile devices with the most popular mobile devices on the market, no? Perhaps that merits a disclaimer of some sort?
I think it might work with some Android devices but it doesn't work with the most popular phone brand on the market. Kind of stupid of Roland really as it's a gaping hole in the market. Any manufacturers reading this take note. Fill the gap and that's a product that will generate far more sales than this one. Anyhow I'll upgrade to using actual cameras and then I should be able to use this
The 'Bo'-Mixer..!
The shaker looks like some kind of Xekeré (sp) - usually used accompanying a Berimbau in rodas de Capoeira. They often contain dried seeds.
wait what. accurate beats and bo beats colab? did i hear that right?
Some day!’
Can you plug in multiple Boutiques?
sure, at least two or more depending on if you have a mono boutique like the se-02. Instrument L/R and Line IN L/R should work for most synths no problem. Just a matter of adjusting the volume
Opel?
My wife...
I don't get? the original Go Mixer seems like a better deal and a nicer form factor- the only thing it maybe needed was 24 bit - and they didn't even do that- I can get adapters for mics- the extra ports are irrelevant-
I don't mind ads, but two about the same stuff in one video?
I feel you. It is pretty standard tho.
Maybe the melodica was sad because you didn't run it through the Analog Heat?
Word of the day... JANKY
Suveränt!
Ps: Din shaker kallas för caxixi ;)
Coolt! Visste inte det
Tascam iU2 has need around for a long time and is way better
This looks real good too!
I'm going to take a look at that
Probably wouldn't be compatible with Android
Kärlek!
Loopback always on in the original version ? .... so the original version is totally useless to most people, so it`s the pro version or nothing I guess
...been...
Great just added your video to the news article. Just the design of the Pro is ugly ;)
Agreed! And thank you Tom!
using a heat is cheating
Is it just me or the Pro is ugly AF? Thanks Bo! Looking forward for the other videos this week
I prefer the original design somewhat
If you're going to record, get a real interface and record.
