- The Roland GO:Mixer Pro is a portable mixer and audio interface for your iPhone, iPad or Android device. It allows you to bring in audio from a guitar, bass, synthesizer, drum machine and even condenser microphones with phantom power. It's a great way to record instagram videos using your phone camera but include direct high quality audio from your studio equipment.

Sat and watched this review with my 3 yr old daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed your songs 👍 Thank you!
This audio interface is what I've been missing in my life!
Awesome review man! I think im pretty much sold on this now. Diggin the tunes too! Dopeness!
Thanks for this video it has been one of the most useful ones I’ve found👍
Great demo!!! Thanks, looks like a useful device.
Hey, excellent review... have you ran mixed audio from another PA head into the roland go mixer pro?
Great work. You gave me all I needed to know.
Thank you for the video. I'd like to know wich condensador microphone did you used . Thanks
Great demonstration sir..!!
What would be the easiest option to add vocal effects (ie reverb) into the video recording please
Would you say this is the best option currently for just getting simple backing track to layer guitar and vocals? Thanks. Any other options similar to this? Or is this the best?
Does it have a stereo input so you can run a stereo line in from a mixer ?
Please i need help with my GMP. idk if I'm doing something wrong. Where about to do your put your instrument volume. Mine is at about 1:00 o'clock and my aux/laptop volume at about 12:00 but my bass still does not sound as loud as other video on instagram. Idk if the device is supposed to sound that or what.
Thanks for the video! This may be a silly question, but when recording electric guitar plugged into the Go Mixer, how do you hear what you’re recording without headphones? Through iPhone speakers?
What if I have a pedal board, can I plug that in? Or guitar only?
the video and audio was recorded straight from. your phone? can you then use garageband to edit the Audio or vocals after?
So that means we can directly record a cover video with our phone? Is that just plug in our phone, instrument, and the laptop for playing the song and then just hit the record button on video camera?
Is the only difference with the older model just the battery section for powered mic?
Do you have any suggestion will it work for input in instagram live?
Could I connect a strymon iridium amp/sim in stereo into the Gomixer and record in stereo?
Can you plug in a 1/4” line out from an amp to the unit?
Perfect review !! I’m a Beat Making Producer who is knocking off the bucket list and some how Djaying a bit ..this is what I need !! Thank you subscribed ✨
Oh Bought !! & Subscribed
Where did you plug in the table mixer what input?
Thank you
I loved the video
Aloha! I love your video. So clear and easy to understand and you are funny and entertaining as well. I have a question: What would be the easiest option to add vocal effects (ie reverb) into the video recording please, could you help? MAHALO
Cheers for this demo. Got few questions, isn't it this Roland Go Mixer Pro got a battery compartment, what's the purpose of the batteries when it can be powered through the phone via USB? The other thing, you used a condenser mic, did the power of the condenser mic was also from the phone or you put batteries for it to power the condenser mic? Thanks in advance.
Great device, we ordered one. Btw ...funny how those hands follow your voice....😀
Hey man will this work with my Roland RD 88 ? My other keyboard I plug it in by usb to my iPhone and it works but for my Roland jay connecting the usb lighting to my piano does not work hopefully this can be the solution
Hey Bro, im looking to buy the Go Mixer Pro only to record my electric guitar sound for my videos on my Samsung, bro is it possible to monitor the sound with headphones plugged into the Go Mixer Pro with NO latency/Delay as I will be using the the Rec Out/Headphones jack to plug the amp into the device which will mute my amp. Im not a fan at all of recording guitar whilst just listening to the acoustics as the amp mutes.
Thanks Bro so helpful!
What digitech model use in this video??
another useful and funny review from you, it's good to know you can use a phone as a DAW so easily. you should say where your own music is
this video made me sad. you havent made any friends and dont want to leave the house... but you also have a prodigy so yeah i'd stay at home too.
Looking for a solution to recording on my iPhone XR
Does it work with amps and pedals? If so then that's exactly what I'm looking for!
Great video! I love those two made up songs. lol Do you need a Reamp box when using electric guitar > pedals > Roland Mixer?
does this record in stereo or only mono?
it looks like the cable is still really short! that´s a problem.... mine was broken and is not an easy cable to find! :&
I've got the simpler version of the GO Mixer twice (as I thought I'd initially purchased a lemon) but I'm about to return it: it's not compatible with the iPhone IOS 13! That's a big let down to me as the info is nowhere to be found on promo videos and sites. That flaw prevented the sound of the plugged mic and guitar from coming out and cost me hours of pointless troubleshooting. Only later I've learned from hard-to-reach Roland Tech Support about the compatibility issue. Since we're now likely closer to Apple releasing yet a new IOS version, than what separates us from the 13, it's clear that neither corporations are about to release some workaround for the issue. Thanks for the great tutorial video, though, to which I'd only note the contrast between both versions: while you say that your Pro version is 'solid,' the simpler one is actually quite flimsy and its inputs won't give a snugly fit for cable plugged on it. Btw,, any workaround solutions would be greatly welcome. Cheers
does this really work with Android device coz it doest work with mine
Is this compatible with P30 Huawei?
The new age 70's British Folk Pop Rap was out of this world!
damn moko...
Do you still use it today? Or, is it just lying around collecting dust?
Does this work with zoom
Getting this
The provided cables are too short if you want to control the knobs while the phone is further away... AND it doesn't charge your phone while in use, from full charge to 70 percent in one hour of playing. I think I'll wait for the next model which MAY charge the phone too... Like the more expensive Line 6 Sonic Port VX does. (You may need a small mixer for the Line 6 as it only has one Guitar and one 3.5mm stereo AUX input.)
Thanks for the review! How would you plug a laptop into it? And is there anyway to add vocal effects such as reverb/delay?
No problem! Do you mean plugging the laptop to record audio or sending audio from your laptop into the mixer? If you want to use laptop audio into the mixer you can just plug the headphone out from your laptop into the line input of the mixer. If you want to use your laptop to record the audio I'm not sure if it's possible because this mixer seems geared towards mobile devices mainly. As for effects, there's no built-in effects so you'd have to add effects before plugging into the mixer.
Got it. Yes I meant playing audio from my laptop to the mixer for backing tracks etc. Thanks!
Your lyrics tell me that you need to go out more pal! Nice demo. So how many tracks get recorded on the phone?
Could this be used on a laptop, too? Thank you for the in-depth review.
Yes it's a super compact mobile audio interface.
android samsung s7edge senkron problem ???????????
I'm really curious with mixer, (besides form this RolandGo) or audio-interface you have been using of currently using? You seem to have lots of synths, samplers, I got the Deepmind 12 because of your channel. Im searching now for a mixer/audio interface that is future proof.I'm a enthousiast beginner, that now got 2 synths and want saving money for a drum machine, that All needs to be connected. I can't find a video off this subject in your channel, could be an idea for you to show your thoughts about it? how to connect it al ect? Or that isn't you aim perhaps? meanwhile I'm searching further. Greetings
thanks! I'll think about doing a vid on this. Right now I'm taking a minimal approach to my music where I only have one synth connected at a time, so my need for a multi-channel mixer/interface is not the same as someone who needs all their gear connected. So with that said, I'm not using a mixer right now, just an Audient iD22 interface. It only has 2 inputs, but can expand to 12 via ADAT. It's a great interface in terms of quality and allows you to expand later. But if you need to record more than 2 synths at once there might be more affordable options. I'm not super familiar with audio interfaces so I can't recommend another one. But if you're just going to track one synth at a time, then maybe a 2 channel interface + mixer or patchbay could be a good start (this is how I've done things in the past).
Great job! Thanks!
Awesome review. ¿Does it work to streaming on facebook live or IG Live?. Thanks :)
Thanks! I'm not sure I haven't tried it for live yet. But as long as the app requires audio then in theory it should activate and work just like any audio input. But maybe someone else can chime in to confirm.
Can you record live
Can you add sfx for mic? Like a little echoe maybe?
Not sure, but I think you could add an effect device between the mic and the Go.
I couldn't tell if any of the tracks were in stereo. Does it track a stereo image?
I would assume so since it has stereo inputs. But that's a good question, I haven't properly tested panning to see if it gets preserved. Once I do I'll report back. I suppose it also depends on the recording software used.
I'm curious on whether or not the standard iPhone video app, or voice memo app will track in stereo with this mixer. Thanks!
Is the soundcard needed for this to link the audio?
Louis Alvaro this is a soundcard, but it’s output is two channels. It’s basically a 5 port summation of the inputs into a stereo out digitally and/or analog .
seems like an odd design choice not to have passthrough charging on these things, especially if you are going to be doing long streams. this device draws power from your phone which makes things even worse
Eventually my nagging to Roland is coming out as this next product and I hope the battery con support much longer video shooting. Otherwise? Well, just in time Roland guy is coming - I will complain again. Hahaha! Thanks for your product knowledge review.
I just want to plug in my drum machine beat buddy and a guitar at the same time. Can it do that?
Yes
You can even add a mic
LMAO Not only was very helpful oh, it was also extremely entertaining.
"give me a piece of your mother's friend" nice...
Thanks for the "my dad is dead" vibes 🙂
...& wackiness did abound! :P
Good review then it started to get weird.. but I kept watching so idk 😐 maybe I'm weird..
For a $150 just buy an interface.
One that will work for your phone?
No internet Audient ID4
youre cute and all but ...why are we seeing your face in all your vids? :)
why not? I like the personal approach.
Guitars are so last millennium !! ha ha. Good demo though.
Hi! Is it possible to add effects on mic like reverb delay etc.
