I'm just wondering how Sidney didn't think it was strange how Emelie hit her right across the face without even moving. And all that while Sidney was standing
Yeah seriously, you would have to be basically blind to think the person sitting on the floor not even paying full attention to you could quickly punch you sit back down on their knees. (I know for a fact she wouldn't be able to reach Sidney if she tried swinging while on her knees.)
She probably believed her immediately and didn't want to ruin any plans of catching him by siding with her openly in front of the unseen attacker who very clearly just hit her in the face.

The only time you ever see him being abusive is after she gave him an insane amount of benzos. This movie is a lot better if you think of her as an unreliable narrator
That would have been a much better movie. In the final scene, he limps into a hospital to visit his psychotic ex girlfriend in the mental ward, and it's revealed that he's just an accountant.
That's the thing with these agenda movies: the narrator is as unreliable as the script writers.
I'm sorry, he immediately tries to chase his wife and punch a car window and you think that is somehow justified? Then kills her sister, stalks her, those are somehow not abusive? Your idea of unreliable narrator is fine and all, but the abuse is not just shown, but underlined , and expanded upon.

@@guest6398 I have addressed the unreliable narrator as a fun option, but my opposition is to the claim that there isnt much abuse shown if the events are matter of fact. I hope that made it clearer to you.
I'm pretty sure she was the evil one. it is her entire narrative, and you see how manipulative she is at the end. There was no evidence her husband was bad at all

@@CaptainFvckingMagic The multiple people he killed while he was tied up in the basement? The main character believing someone did something doesn't mean they actually did in the story and, going off this review, she's not a reliable narrator.
@@CaptainFvckingMagic she could've been working with the brother who helped kill her sister, her husband, and even helped her clear her name by dying while in the suit. She got off with 5 million, killing her abusive husband, a daughter, and a pseudo family with her niece and brother in law. The photos his brother shows to confirm his death could go either way tho. If he set all this up it would make sense that he was able fake a couple of photos and hide in his basement, but if she did it, it probably happened the same way but she told her husband's brother to give him his plan so she could expose her husband. But then why would she have him kill her sister aswell instead of just doing everything else and still getting out with money and all the crimes on the husband's dead brother's hands?
Yea. Watch the end again. When he sits his throat he clearly has an invisible hand holding his hand to his throat. She had the suit at the time and left the room with her bag(w/ the suit in it) at the perfect moment. Why else would he have been freaking out before she killed him.
@@CaptainFvckingMagic She killed them. She also forced him to kill himself at the end when she leaves the room with her bag in her hand. She comes back in with the suit on and forces his hand. That's why she has the suit in her bag at the end.

Watch when Adrian kills himself at the end. His hand is held above his head as if an invisibly person is holding his hand and forcing him to kill himself. And who just left the room with an invisible suit in their bag? Who just returned after he "slit his own throat"? Why else was he so nervous? He knows she's manipulative enough to drug him, and cold enough to kill her own sister. I'd be nervous as hell if a crazy lady had the military grade tech I leave around the house after kidnapping me and framing my brother.
