Remember seeing this in high school and the giant wave of kids after that all claimed they had dissociative identity disorder after watching the movie once. What a time lmao
And u wer one of them right đ€Łđ?
I will admit I did think about it
@@Oratile19ul Juznik was all of them.
LOL yes - its just like how everyone know makes youtube videos where they go "okay so im an empath - that means I'm like the kryptonite for sociopaths and narcissists - I can out emotion them! " or whatever tehy say
Makes me want to committ a genocide on empaths and im just a wee borderline girly
You guys were playing as a kid so do we, not split but many other movies like Merlin, seeker, cruel temptation etc. But we always comeback to reality unlike some people with gender identity disorder
I dont plan on watching "Glass" but would totally want to watch a minute movies of it, considering it is a continuation of "Unbreakable" and "Split".
Yeah, aside from a few fun moments, Glass is a let down compared to these two. M. Night really is hit or miss. Still, I'm happy he takes the risk
I love this movie
Dude the movies are slow and boring in my opinion but with minute movies
It would be the best video ever
I AGREEđ
Just watch it while going to bed don't like it fall asleep đŽ to it
I dated/lived with a girl with DID. I watched this with a friend of mine after my girlfriend and I broke up. I briefly told my friend about my ex and as we watched Split together and different info of DID was dropped during the movie, my friend would glance at me quizzically, silently asking if what the film said was true. I nodded to him every single time. About the only thing that wasn't true, was the full body transformation with super human powers.
As another commenter mentioned briefly, there are SO many kids these days "self diagnosing" with DID because they think it'll get them attention, make them seem "cool" or garner sympathy. It's the "in" thing right now to have a mental illness or disorder and the more "severe", the more bragging rights and excuses you have.
But DID is NOT a laughing matter. It cannot be taken lightly and should never be used to gain attention. It is a very serious and fucking terrifying illness that most likely will ruin your life and the lives of your loved ones. Most DID cases or personalities are born from extreme trauma and abuse, in the case of Kevin, his first personalities developing as a child when his mother was physically abusing him, it's a self defense tactic from the brain in an effort to make one forget the trauma, if even temporarily. A LOT of people who suffer from DID don't even realize it until well into their adult life. DID is not a badge of honor to be worn and flash around proudly. Someone who thinks they may be suffering from DID should seek professional mental help immediately, and people who claim they have it but test negatively for it should also pursue therapy or counseling. Again, it's nothing to laugh at or joke about and it is not something you can "self diagnose" and you should never hope you have it. Pray that you don't.
Thereâs a lot more fairness than that in this movie đ
I have DID and this is exactly the right thing to say. Youâre not supposed to point out a system to someone who doesnât know, under no circumstances should you diagnose. DID is often caused by abuse as a child, I endured decades and only just began to acknowledge anything had happened. Iâm working with state hospitals and a team of therapists, case managers, psychiatrists (to manage ptsd symptoms, DID isnât treated medicinally) and itâs a lot but itâs necessary. Iâm thankful for my wonderful husband and daughter and friends who know my names and how to tell us apart, kid and husband have never gotten it wrong itâs validating to be seen for who we are as both individuals and as a whole. Iâm a system of 34, each of us has our role, most of it to protect the host from further harm. Have never done anything dangerous, have been married 7 years, have a wonderful career and homeschool. Itâs terribly difficult especially because I also have a neurological disorder and wheelchair adaptations now, but all I know is that I want to provide a space thatâs happy healthy comfortable and safe for my family to experience their lives, and to spread love and joy through music đ„° Rambling aside- DID isnât glamorous and itâs manageable but you have to start with intake, not with a diagnosis, and let your team help you identify your needs- not the Internet â„ïž
Itâs literally not a real thing. Just weirdos larping.
@@cam5816 Lmao Bro what?
@@cam5816just cuz you haven't seen people who have it in person, doesn't mean it isn't real
Literally one of my favourite movies ever. James' acting was something I don't think ANY actor can out perform. Would definitely recommend watching the whole movie again. And I too actually saw Split first, then realized it's 2nd part of a trilogy and saw the rest after it.
So I think MM is going to do the same with his recaps
Yeah seriously this was one of the most underrated performances
Go watch âFilthâ
Dude I saw glass first
Then realised it was the second part of unbreakable
And now i came to know that the second part must've been split
Now you're saying it's already a second part ...
I'm out bro đ€Łđ€Ł
@@animehighlights606 Split and unbreakable, both lead up to glass, but the two first movies dosent really have anything to do with eachother until glass. Their stories meet.
He really is phenomenal in this movie. I wish I could put the time stamp to the scene but whichever scene it is, you can literally see him change personalities (that's a poor description of what we see). You can even tell which it is he switched to.
You should do the Japanese comedy film Gold Medal Man. It's about a former child prodigy who, as an adult, desperately wants to recapture the magic of winning first place in anything he possibly can. I feel like you'd have a field day with that one.
Bojack if it was real.
It is amazing how some parts of our bodies grow much more than others.
Huh?

I gained a whole new level of respect for James McAvoy!!! He's already a superb actor; it's when his characters change personalities, you don't even see him anymore, you see them. Great Movie!
Just when I was about to suggest doing a Split recap, this pops up amazing. Once again the jokes never fail.
Love your videos keep up with your amazing work
I just got notified about the freshest MM recap, however the thumbnail rendered me so focused/frozen for 2 minutes that I forgot why I was browsing YT in the first place. Kudos, mate, I'll be bookmarking this vid for later. đâšïžâšïž
I rememeber watching this movie with my teacher and my classmates a few weeks ago because we were learning about horror, but i missed the first half because i had football club so thank you
Learning about horror??
@@infinite5164 We have that in literary studies back when I was in high school. We use mixed media to introduce key elements in establishing a specific literary genre
@@infinite5164 yeah we was learning about types of horror and how it was similar and how it was different so we read frankenstein then we watched this movie. SPLIT
Amazing recap, great movie, great acting, great trilogy!
A good test in being an actor. You have to turn yourself off and become another person but doing multiple now thatâs a feat.
That makes so much sense, actually đđđ

tysm for this recap. I wanted to watch this for Anya but could never find the time.

You should do the goofy film Bullet Train. Unless you have already done that
The photoshopped thumbnails always get me đ
The thumbnails are damn good
Whenever I see your thumbnails I wonder how in the hell I missed noticing how well endowed these actresses are whenever I watched the movies.
Moral of the story? I'm addicted to youtube videos of Minute Movies

Man, get to 1mil quickly!
I think this was the first horror movie I've ever seen. I remember I was scared the entire movie and my best friend who was next to me was like đ
dissociative identity disorder is so much more interesting than this movie makes it out to be, just researched it and holy damn it's insane the brain can do that
like I mean, as an example, alters can even be different species or speak different languages that the host doesn't speak, that's insanely fascinating
What do you mean "different species"? One thing that surprises people is alters can be allergic or not allergic to certain things other alters can. For example, my ex girlfriend was allergic to tuna an couldn't stand the smell of it, but one of her alters was NOT allergic to and LOVED to eat it. Most of her alters loved dogs, but one or two of them were terrified of our dog, and our dog only trusted certain alters as well.
@@MrHoll87 â @John apparently some people can develop non-human alters though I believe it's more rare
my best guess is it's probably from dehumanization, say during a traumatic event someone was repeatedly called the name of an animal like "filthy dog" and they might develop an alter that thinks they're an animal (more specifically a dog)
alternatively it could possibly be from the body trying to cope by creating an alter form of what the host's favorite animals are as comfort, not really sure as I've never met anyone before with non-human alters, it is certainly interesting though
there are probably numerous studies that bring it up but it's pretty late in the morning so I'm not gonna take the time to look for them
hope I made sense!
@@trans_diflu0r0ethane Whoa. Yeah you made sense to me at least. I had never heard of that. Fascinating stuff, but also terrifying.

THE TITLEđđđđđđ
Dennis The Menace...
I've been in a relatively big dc server where 90% of the people chatting claimed they had DID. I only chat there once and never again because it's too unrealistic that so many people there have DID, feels more like they are doing it for attention or to conform to the group. Not saying that it's not possible for them to be truthful, just unlikely.
I dated a girl that had a history of horrific childhood abuse, like what is implied here. It's accurate. It destroys a person's ability to have relationships, both romantic and just normal friendships, and in far too many cases to even function in society
may I kid nap you and pee on you?

I loved Split! However I discovered this channel a few weeks ago and I still like it. It just throws me off with your thumbnails, when you photoshop the actressâs of these movies to look 100/10đ kinda like this one Anya Taylor-Joy doesnât have big boobs nor does she need them, I think sheâs already beautiful the way she is. And no I donât have a problem with the thumbnails, just throws me off and have a laugh a few moments later hahaha. Iâm also very sure woman would love for you to photoshop their IG photos probably pay you some very good money as a side hustle for you⊠anyways I just felt like sharing that, and didnât want to make this long, once again keep up the work brođȘđ
