    I really enjoy this kind of video. Some of the words I say them different, I wish I had Jose in front of me to ask him if my way is correct! Thank you so much for the videos, they are very helpful.

    Otorrinolaringologo. Is the name of the specialist in Spanish. Pérdida de la audición, no se dice pérdida de la escucha. Gracias por los vídeos algunas coerciones para tener en cuenta.

    I was taught that "heart murmur" was "soplo cardíaco" instead of "soplo en el corazón". So, "soplo cardíaco" could also be considered. Same with "heart rate" which is "frecuencia cardíaca". "Hoarseness" can also be "ronquera" . I also agree with the comment about "vesicular biliar". Thanks for your videos!

      @hiko77 Před 2 lety +1

      The problem with the terms is that many in the past had encased and mistranslated them without knowing the actual Latin etymology. The same happens with “frecuencia cardíaca” which is actually a redundancy in semantics. All heart palpitations have frequency, which is actually “cardiac rhythm”. That is the reason why the most accurate medical term will be “ritmo cardíaco”, since the original antonym term comes from the Latin “a rhythmus”, translated as “arritmia”.

      @@hiko77 And also that in Latin America we have many different ways of saying, even many times the meanings are different if you talk to someone from South America or Central America. As in the case of Hoarseness (not the meaning but the way of translating) and others mentioned here.

    @19:53 gallbladder is vesícula biliar in Spanish, Jose says 'vejiga' which is in fact bladder, this could cause some confusion for your viewers. Besides that mistake, good video.

    • @hiko77
      @hiko77 Před 2 lety +2

      I already explained the literal terminology of “bladder” and why it was not used anymore. No mistake there.

      The word “escucha” is a synonym for “audición”. Both are interchangeable.
