  • The vlog today features landscape photography in Corwall. What an amazing place to shoot pictures!
For my landscape photography check out my Instagram: @brendanvanson.
I'm on a landscape photography road trip to Cornwall this week. On this photography vlog, I get told all the time that I need to go and shoot Cornwall. So, I've finally taken your advice and headed that way. I'm glad I did. Yesterday, I shot a cool landscape just outside of Cornwall (see the video here: • What is Fine Art Lands... ). Then, I ended that photography vlog by sleeping in my car at Bedruthan Steps when I planned on shooting sunrise this morning. In the end, that's exactly what I did.
Bedruthan Steps is a great place for landscape photography. I got up before sunrise and hiked down to my location and managed to get some beautiful pastel colours in the sky before the sun rose. I loved the location, and the pre-sunrise light was just perfect for the photos I wanted. I got some cool lines of the coast, the steps, and the sea in my frame. I was beyond happy with the way my imagery came out that morning.
I hiked out of Bedruthan steps just after sunrise and moved on to my next location: St. Nectan's Glen.
St. Nectan's Glen was also a cool location. It was about a 20 minute hike into the waterfall. The waterfall is privately owned, so it does cost some cash. The entry fee was 5 pounds, but they do lend you some rubber boots with the entry fee, so it's worth it. I shot a couple images there, had a blast and then drove off to my final location of the day.
Land's end was a brilliant spot for landscape photography in Cornwall. Just an absolutely incredible place to shoot.
I didn't exactly find my landscape photography location - I wanted to shoot the arch - but I still found a cool location, and the light just exploded! I ended the vlog there just after sunrise.
On the photography vlog tomorrow I am going to be shooting another location in Cornwall before making my way home. So stay tuned for more fun.

I’m a cornish teenager who wants to be a wildife/landscape photographer, two of the places I’d 100% recommend are definitely are porthcurno march/april’s sunset (west of st. michael’s mount), and the zennor moorlands in the fog (north of st. michael’s mount). Love the content, come back to cornwall!

Great vid, private waterfalls in Yorkshire too, by the way when using a space saver wheel it should only be fitted to the rear for safety. This would mean first fitting the spare to the rear and then replacing the flat tyre with the one removed from the rear .

Great vlog Brendan. Love it when you're in the UK :) And Cornwall is just so beautiful. The Waterfall was cool too, didn't know it was there? Hope you were happier with your images from Lands End once you got them on your laptop, thought they were awesome! Love the sun popping through on the horizon, cool! You'll love St.Michaels Mount, hope you get great light for sunrise.

Good luck at the mount tomorrow, I went there about a month ago, absolutely fantastic when the morning sun rises just enough to light up the mount! Be there early though, I was there on a Tuesday morning at about 06:00, and was joined by 4 other photographers at around 7 or so, it's a popular place=P

I'm off to Cornwall next week, actually went 2 weeks ago but hoping for more ideas of places to shoot. The waterfall and Bedruthan look great! Bit nervous about the mist from the waterfall on my gear though. Cornwall is such a great place for landscape photography, I can't wait to be there again.

If your still in Cornwall you really need to check out a place called Kennall vale in Ponsanooth, its so good. for photography, waterfalls, big river, old mills and a beautiful little woodland. Another must see is Botallack mines on the cliff edge... awesome place.

I think you really should visit Eden Project. It's a must see as a tourist. Whether or not you get great photos there, but I imagine you would.
I would ask if you'd do a meetup in Cornwall, as I live in the area. But just as you're here, I'm off to Iceland tomorrow. A little frustrating.

I like to watch your videos man, but I finally realized what I don't like and that is that font that you use to write the exposure settings next to photos you are showing to us. Maybe it will be better to change it to some more elegant and readable font. Anyway, keep on great work!
